Description of Work: Superior did our complete hardwood replacement around 2 years ago, and did a terrible job. They used a cheaper quality wood than what we originally had, the floor creaks and pops, we have gaps by the wall, there are gaps in between the boards, there are splinters so you can't walk barefoot on it, and the color is inconsistent due to inadequate sanding. We had to pay another company to come in and redo 2 rooms ($4000) and plan to have the other company redo the rest of Superior's shoddy work soon. We contacted superior many times over our dissatisfaction but they were always rude about it. I had to actually ask Anne-Marie to leave my home because she was so hateful. She initially tried to say their poor work was my fault because the humidity in my house was wrong. When I told her I purchased whole house humidifiers to avoid this, she tried to say it was due to moving back in too soon (we lived in a hotel for 3 weeks and moved in when they said we could), then she said it's because we had them install in November but that is a bad time of year to install. She said if an expert said the floors were done wrong, she'd replace them. At my own expense, I had TWO experts inspect and say the floors were not to code and done poorly, but she still refused. She said give it 15 months then she would look again (the written warranty is only 12 months) but REFUSED to put that in writing and was offended I asked. It has been over 15 months and the floors look HORRIBLE. I consider a lawsuit but my time off work isn't worth the time in court. Mention the Superior name to any honest contractor and they will tell you they do poor quality work, but only since Anne-Marie took over. These aren't my words, but the opinions I've heard from many other contractors. I do, however, agree. I've never been treated as poorly by a service business as I was by her. Go elsewhere. This place is terrible.

We worked with Superior when we built our custom home in Tulsa. They were by far the best vendor we worked with on the whole project! The team was great in helping us find products that we loved at prices that we could fit into our budget. They spent an enormous amount of time looking for the perfect backsplash for my kitchen, and the floors are just gorgeous! I highly recommend that you use Superior!

All the downstairs (approximately 2800 square feet) is now hardwood floors (white oak, with medium brown stain) and the new floors are laced in beautifully with existing floors so that everything matches perfectly. The manager was extremely professional and easy to work with. She gave us a quote that included moving furniture, pod rental, all the flooring work, adjusting doors to fit, re-painting baseboards and professional plumbing of the fridge. She also gave us a schedule when everything would happen, day by day. The work was finished in less than 5 days, just as promised. She did not send us a final bill until she had checked that everything was done to our satisfaction. I highly recommend them, their pricing was also the lowest from the 3 quotes we acquired.
Description of Work: We had some water damage caused by leaking refrigerator and we needed hardwood repair for that area. We refinished all existing hardwood floors and also installed hardwood floors into 4 bedrooms and closets (previously carpeted).

Patrick did an excellent job of coordinating the project. This involved furniture removal, carpet removal, floor installation, staining, finishing and thorough cleanup. He and his crew were very professional. The work was done very efficiently, completed in 5 days and we were very pleased that the new floor was matched perfectly to the wood floor in the rest of the house. The workmen arrived on time everyday and I was kept informed about who would be arriving and when. I would definitely use Patrick and Superior Wood Floor again.

I was not happy with them at all. When they removed my sink, they broke the pedestal on my sink so they had my bathroom out of order when I was having a huge party. They replaced the base of the sink but it did not match the color the bowl of the sink so they replaced that and they used substandard material when they replaced the bowl so I'm not happy. We'd never use them. The price was fair.
Description of Work: We brought Superior Flooring in to repair a wood floor that we have on our bathroom but they actually couldn't do that so they replaced it with tile.

The installation was good but they did not stain or sand properly. They did the job in a hurry and they did not sand all the way to edges. The stairs were not stained correctly on the edges and they tried to charge us to redo it even though it was not our fault. They did try to claim that it was our fault and there was no proof of that. They eventually did redo the work. I would not recommend them.

Their product and service, is good and on time. My contact person, was very personable. They also, repaired the floor after a water damage event. One year later some residual moisture warped that section and they repaired it without charge. No problems, I call that customer service!
Description of Work: July 2010, hardwood floor for the entire house except the master bedroom. November 2011, they did the master bedroom and repair water damage in between both jobs.

Do: get an estimate and have them describe the process. Jason, their salesperson, was very good. Do: tell them if you want something fixed or if you're not happy with any workmanship
Description of Work: Superior installed a new solid oak floor in a remodeled master bedroom. They were always prompt and courteous and did an outstanding job. The white baseboard moulding was already in place and they did a really good job of not scratching it. They missed nailing in a wood step but came back with just one call to make it right. We picked Superior because they were the installer on a home we purchased recently that has wood throughout most of the house. We are very impressed with the quality of this job as well.

THE WORKERS ARRIVED BEFORE SUNUP EVERY MORNING AND WORKED UNTIL AFTER DARK. THE JOB WAS DONE EXACTLY ON SCHEDULE. THEY DID PUT BACK THE BASEBOARDS, HOWEVER WE HAD TO RE-CAULK THEM. CARPETS THAT ADJOIN THE NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS WERE LEFT LOOSE AT THE DOORWAY. SUPERIOR HAD A CARPET INSTALLER CALL ME TO SET UP RE-TACKING THE CARPET. THERE WAS A SMALL EXTRA CHARGE FOR THAT. MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I DIDN'T GO AHEAD AND DO THE REST OF THE HOUSE.

They seemed to install the floor ok... However they hadn't replaced the baseboard/trim properly. Also shortly after we moved in we had some buckling of the boards right in the middle of the floor, about 1-2" (pretty significant bump in the floor, enough to cause us to trip over, and it extends almost the whole length of the floor). The buckling seemed only to happen in the warmer weather, by winter it went down but in spring it popped back up again. I spent about 3 months of calling Superior. Hardly ever got calls back, the manager was never available, and each person I spoke to didn't seem to know what the other person had been told about my previous call so I had to re-explain every time. Whenever we finally got an appointment, no one showed up - and this happened 3 TIMES!! I finally talked to the owner, who apparently was out of town, then sick, and even threatened reporting to the BBB and he insisted he would take care of it. When the workers finally came out they said they couldn't fix the floorboards with the existing materials they had, they fixed a few pieces of the baseboard/trim but also didn't have enough to finish it all. I argued that I just wanted it fixed and explained all the trouble I went through and how long I had waited. One of the workers said he would personally come out and do it himself. I never saw or heard from him and gave up calling Superior back. Almost 2 years later and tired of the buckling, I tried calling again. The same nightmare seemed to start, being told they would call me back to schedule and it took forever to finally get them out here. They inspected the floor, took a moisture reading, and claimed there was moisture in the subfloor and was probably there when it was installed, which would be causing the buckling. Said it may have been Lumber Liquidators fault for providing moist materials and that it should have been set out longer before installing. They came to the conclusion that the installation was rushed and we moved in too quickly. This guy apparently knew my husband from high school, they had a quick conversation about that and he seemed real friendly and promised he would talk to the owner right away and get us taken care of. AGAIN, I did not hear back from him for a few weeks and had to call him. Once I explained the situation, again, he said oh yeah well we can fix it but we have to charge our base fee of $750 to come out there and do it. This after we had spent over $3000 on a floor they botched and didn't finish?!? They wouldn't even come out just to fix the trim they never finished. Definitely would NOT recommend them. Bad communication, NO customer service, and shoddy work. Now we still have the problem and have to pay someone else to fix it. I am so upset with this company!!
Description of Work: Installed wood floor in living area of our newly purchased home. We bought the house from out of state and they installed it before we moved, it was part of our purchase deal from the seller. We bought the wood/flooring from Lumber Liquidators and Superior was selected as the contractor to install it.
