SUNDEK BY BEAUTY-CRETE INC

Beauty-Crete poured a pool deck for Larry Friese Pools many moths ago. Their employees broke the light conduit and it got filled with concrete, making it impossible to run the light cord through the conduit. They admitted to doing it and the owner of Beauty-Crete agreed to pay the invoice from Larry Friese that he incurred in tearing out part of the deck, fixing the conduit, and pouring the concrete back. Beauty-Crete has yet paid the invoice even though they received it many months ago. I have had Beauty-Crete do some deck coatings for me but can not continue to do so if they won't pay their bills that they are responsible for. Larry Friese has photos that documents all the damage that was incurred.

My husband and I are very pleased with the finished product. The crew was professional, diligent and completed the entire project within 2 days.

Beautycrete made it look like new -- power-washed everything, repaired the spalled area, sprayed texture where it was thin, and painted. It looks great. Some additional observations for the informed buyer: 1) although they attached a floating plastic guard around the first 18" or so of the pool, my water was absolutely trashed when they were done. Muddy stuff in the shallow end, and I couldn't see the bottom in the deep. It took a solid week of suctioning and filtering and frequent filter backwashing, followed by a triple-strength chlorine shock, to clear it up. I'm really glad we did this in early spring before we wanted to use the pool. 2) a nitpick, but the bill was some $45 higher than the firm estimate due to taxes on materials. I expected the firm estimate to include all costs, but maybe that's just me. 3) They said they would take three days, but they finished in less than 1.5 days. They also moved the time up from when they said they could come. That's all good, but as a result I wasn't home to observe the process. They said they would give it 2 coats of paint, and I have to assume they did. If it starts peeling off next year, I will refresh this review. But for now, everything looks great.

They were rude and unprofessional. The kid that did our floors was like a stuck-up artist. You couldn't ask him questions and he thought you are criticizing if you asked questions. I warned them when they first came that my father in law is a do it yourself kind of guy and he's going to come over and ask questions and he's going to want to know about this, that, or the other thing. He's going to want to see all the process because that's just the way he is. I came home one day and the kid that was doing our floors told me that he was rude to my father in law because my father in law was just over his shoulder and making him nervous and he decided to ask him to leave. He also told me that he was not going to be working for Beauty-Crete anymore and that this was his last job, which really made me nervous. He called his crew "his Mexicans" and he told me his boss, who he was supposed to be friends with, was an uptight jerk and only worried about money. Although that did turn out to be true, but you don't tell that to your customer. He didn't listen to me on the doorway between our bedrooms and our door as to where the carpet was going to cut off and so, when they poured the concrete, they poured an overlay and then they stained that overlay. He didn't listen to me on where it was supposed to stop, so they didn't spray the stains far enough to the carpet, so he had to go back and manually touch it up, but he couldn't make it look the same. They used duct tapes on our carpets to pull the carpet back from the bedroom doors and it left a residue to our new carpet. For almost a year, we had duct tape stripes on the carpets in our bedroom. The owner kept saying you haven't paid me and I said I wanted to see what the job is going to look like before I pay you. I also said that if you were more worried about my happiness than you were about getting my check, you wouldn't even have to ask for my check, I would be volunteering it. They didn't clean up after themselves. Our floors are textured cement and when they sprayed that on, it got up all on our walls and furniture.

They did a great job. They were very professional and friendly. I was very happy with them.

Excellent.

Contracted, work completed promptly. Never matched. Told to let it cure. Never looked better. Told it needed to be "acid washed" which it was twice. Cracked afterwards looks horrible.

THEY DID A HORRIBLE JOB & I COULD TELL THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY HARD. THEY JUST LEFT ME WITH A BUNCH OF CRACKS WHICH LOOK TERRIBLE. AFTER THEY SAID THEY WOULD COME BACK TO FIX IT, THEY NEVER DID.
