Roto-Rooter

Service tech was very thorough and cleared several obstructions. I was amazed for all of the work performed he did not charge more than the price quoted. We had another plumbing company come by and said he did not have snake equipment to fix the clog-?! Did not charge for the service call but I was amazed that a plumber would not have this equipment. So happy with the service and price for the job performed. I will add the technicians name to this review if I can find it.

They came out within the last year. I don't remember the hourly rate. I have been pleased every time that I have used them. I have used them about four or five times. I used them because of their name and the fact that they were responsive and available. I would give them an 'A' overall. I would use them again in the future.

Provider came out on holiday in the rain and climbed up on the roof to clean out our main house drain. Removed a huge tree root and showed us what was clogging up our drain. Technician was highly knowledgable, fast and professional. Would recommend them to everyone.

I have used Roto-Rooter in the past. I have had good experiences with Roto-Rooter and one not good experience at all. I have had a couple of them, one good and one bad. They charged me about 250 dollars and it wasn't fixed. If I were to tell other Angie's List members about Roto-Rooter I would say that they better get the right plumber and not just any plumber. I got 2 different guys and one time I had good experience. Overall if you get the right plumber it would be an 'A' and if you get the wrong plumber it would be a 'F'. I probably would not use them again in the future considering you have to deal with a lot of plumber's charge. That was a temporary fix and it was not a permanent fix.

I called on a Thursday about 4:00. I had a drain backing up in my garage. They were able to schedule me for the next morning since we were going to be gone that evening. I was given a time frame to come between 8:30-12:00. I got a call at 8:40 saying the guy was on his way. This was nice, so I could get it taken care of and go about my day:). David was the plumber who was sent out. He immediately got to work and cleaned out the drain in about 30 minutes. He was friendly and courteous and the price was reasonable. I will definitely use Roto Rooter again!

What I didn't like was the fact that the first time they came out, they checked everything and one thing he suggested was that we needed a new wax thing so they charged us for that; but then, in the end, they were saying we needed a whole new toilet. They said I'm going to have to pay for a whole new wax thing so each time he puts down a toilet, I have to get a new ring; so I did not like that fact. Beyond that, they were good. They did a pretty good job cleaning up. Their price was kind of high, but on the flip side they're clean and professional.

They did an excellent job and were reasonably priced. I had another company work on that same drain and they charged me twice as much and didn't get it cleared enough. Roto-Rooter charged half the price and did a much more thorough job. I would use them again if needed. They showed up on time and got right to it. They diagnosed the problem and corrected the problem. They also cleaned up after themselves.

They came out, cleaned roots out of line and were out of here in 30 minutes. I have to do this about every 3 years.

Each detail of the service experience was great! The original appointment set-up, the call before the service technician arrived, the professional way the job was completed, the invoicing, simply EVERYTHING was A+!!! I don't mind paying a bit more when the service is so exceptional. Hey, they even called several hours after the work was complete to inquire if the work was done to my satisfaction...a real pleasure in today's world of poor customer service!

I had a water line collapse from water meter to the house. They had to dig the line, replace it and they had to install a back flow preventer. The lead plummer called and ask if they really had to install the back flow because it was so expensive. They did have to install it and they did a good job. They had to use some equipment that did mess up my yard but other then that they worked hard and I give them a B rating.

They were able to take care of everything while they were there. The first time where they were there, they didn't have to go back to get the tools or equipment. They did well time wise and quality wise.

They had to come out several times because they didn't fix it. I got a different tech each time. They didn't know what they were doing. I had just had a back operation and didn't show up on time. I was very aggitated. I would give them C's and D's on their report.

I spent about $165 for their services. They were very professional and they explained everything before they did anything. I was very pleased with their work. When it comes to their price, I couldn't beat that. I have used them in the past and I would use them in the future too.

It was not the easiet job to perform because there is no "clean-out" on the ground, but rather he had to go to a vent pipe on the roof and employ his rooting equipment from up there. It was impressive to watch!

Drain in master bath was clogged. we called in the morning and someone was out by the afternoon.

The service call went very smoothly and quick.

The flush mechanism in the main bathroom toilet was running continuously and when my husband tried to turn off the water at the stool, the handle broke off the valve. We called Roto Rooter and they had a man out here within an hour. He had the parts on the truck and went right to work. He had the whole thing fixed in about 20 minutes. The total bill was $130.40. We were happy with the promptness, the skill of the workman and the total cost of the work. I now have them on speed dial on my cell phone.

This is the first time I have been disappointed by Roto-Rooter. They have always been excellent in the past. I called about a leaky drain under the kitchen sink, and questionable plumbing. The plumber was on time. He corrected the leak by replacing worn out gaskets, but left the plumbing, saying that it was "legal". The issue with the plumbing is that the garbage disposal will vibrate the plumbing loose from the sink again in a few months. His solution- prop something under the pipes to hold them up. (Yes, finding a random object to prop up the pipes is free, but why not just get it fixed so that nothing can knock the prop out of the way and cause a problem in the future?) When asked how much it would cost to just replace the old pipes with new pipes that won't have this issue, he replied 1 hr of labor plus parts. So... That wouldn't have been much more than what we paid, and it would have completely resolved the issue, instead of being a temporary fix. He acted like he really just wanted to be done with the job and couldn't wait to be out of the door. We ended up paying for 1 hour of labor and for the new gaskets.

They did the job as they advertised. I do not have a contract with them. I call them when I need them.

All in all, they were very nice and answered my questions. I did not price other companies so I do not really know how they compare in price.

The company representative gave us an estimate $2300-$2500 to replace the pipe. The estimate did not include rebuilding the retaining wall and redoing landscaping. At this point, we decided to find a company with the equipment to detect a leak instead of going with the company that wanted to replacing the entire line. The final detection and repairs will run about $800.

He got it done very quickly, he was very business like and very polite. I would highly recommend and use him again in the future. Their pricing was very reasonable.

They came out the same morning I called, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed. The price wasn't that bad either, considering the service.

I called them on Thursday. They came out the same day. I had had the same problem the previous year. They did the clean out on Thursday, we discussed putting in the vent, and I agreed to do so to save money. They did the work, came back, called the city inspector, installed the new vent and pipe on Friday. They are terrific to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.

They informed me that the call would be their service minimum, 1/2 hour of work. I agreed, and they took my credit card information over the phone. They called me back within the hour to let me know that someone has been dispatched. When I arrive home in Tulsa a few days later, I found that everything was done correctly, and without my supervision. Actually, they went a little beyond what I was asking for (just shutting off the water) and did something else that I should have requested. They opened up two outside faucets to drain water out of the home's plumbing. So kudos on them for giving me what I needed, and not just the minimum of what I asked for. It is nice to have a contractor (plumber) that you don't have to babysit for.
