Van came over to get a bid for our kitchen remodel and said he's have a bid ready by that next week. Never received an email or phone call. I called two weeks later to follow up and still never heard back from them. If they aren't able or do not want to take on a project, they should have the decency and professionalism to say so and not just leave someone hanging.

During his visit, Mr. Rossi addressed some details specific to the way I would be using the door (in a power chair) to ensure that the right door, threshold, door handle, etc. was chosen. An estimate was emailed the next day which was in line with another that I had gotten. I signed the contract and a date was set for installation. Mr. Rossi phoned a little before the time for installation and reset the date since it was raining. The installers showed up promptly as scheduled and took extra measures to make sure the door was properly installed even when lproblems were uncovered during installation. Clean up was great.
Description of Work: Mr. Rossi came to my home the day after I made the phone inquiry about removing a sliding glass door and installing a French door.

Told him "no bid or estimate, no job"
Description of Work: Said that they " don't give estimates or bids".
The openings were extra tall and they suggested extra tall doors which were less costly and added to the effect. These had clear glass in them and i never even cleaned the glass - that is how neat and detailed oriented they are.I did this to sell the house- and it sold 10 days after the work was completed- in an absolutely terrible market. i'd had it on the market before doing this and not a nibble. Everyone just thought it was wonderful. I had them before on some plantation shutters and was also very thrilled. Excellent work - not the cheapest but the best!
Description of Work: I converted a formal living room to a office by enclosing it with french doors with glass panes. They had to square up one opening. paint and install the doors - it was beautiful -
Rossi Brothers never abandoned the job site, unlike I've heard about other contractors. Once we were on the schedule for work, they were at the house every day, usually from at least 8:30 to 4:30, working towards completion. Glen Rossi and the main crew chief at our house every day, Paulo, were excellent at providing frequent updates of progress, anticipated time to completion of various tasks or rooms, and their target dates to completion were usually correct or within a few days. They were prompt and very responsive to detail and touch up issues that they identified or I identified. In addition, we decided half way through to change a few things and to add a few additional items, and each time they responded promptly and professionally and worked those items into the existing schedule rather than scheduling to come back later for the add-ons. The crew cleans up each day before leaving. They worked with us as to timing each room, since we had to move items around the house as they completed one section and moved to another. They also move and replace all of the heavy items and furniture. For similar projects, I have friends who had contractors at their houses much longer than we have and they were less satisfied with results than we are. Rossi Brothers' painting is very professional looking, with not a stroke out of place. Given our costs included materials, I believe the price was competitive. Even if it were on the higher end, it is my view that their professionalism and the quality of their work made it entirely worthwhile. From start to finish, we're very pleased with the work they have done. I would highly recommend Rossi Brothers.
Description of Work: NOTE: Price included all materials (except for new bathroom fixtures and kitchen appliances) as well as labor, including ripping out and haul off of old carpet and other old materials. Entire 2600 square foot interior, including all walk-in and linen closets, re-done with new paint, new wood and tile flooring, added wainscot paneling in entryway and hallway, replaced kitchen countertop with granite, replaced countertop in laundry room, replaced baseboard trim in kitchen, stripped wallpaper in several rooms and prepped all walls for painting, replaced / installed 4 exterior doors, including decorative front door, removed old bathtub and shower and built with larger shower with shower seat, removed old window, installed new window, included masonry work necessary to reset new window, installed new kitchen appliances, including light carpentry necessary to fit new oven and microwave into existing cabinetry, replaced bathroom fixtures, vent fans, re-installed all towel bars and light fixtures etc.

Overall, they did a very good job. The first time I hired them, they made a mistake but came back immediately to fix it. The second time, they did a very good job. The third time, however, they did several things wrong, and they took a while to come back and fix them. I had to call them three times. Finally, I called the owner directly and he sent someone out to fix the issues.
Description of Work: I have used them three times for window installation.
The quality of work done was excellent in every way and all of the workmen were courteous and careful. I can't say enough good things about Rossi Brothers work and personnel. The only criticism I would have of them is that they failed to communicate well regarding the schedule and, specifically, when certain types of work would begin and end. They REALLY could use some good project management and client communications skills in the organzation. Notwithstanding that, though, I would never again use another contractor. The people at Rossi Brothers are a joy to work with and you couldn't hope for better quality.
Description of Work: My utility room (a tacked on space which was horrible in every way possible) was completely gutted and remodeled. Custom cabinets were installed, drywall hung and painted and a ceramic tile floor installed. In addition, new ceramic tile was installed in the mudroom off my garage, on the stairs leading up to the kitchen and in the kitchen, two sliding glass doors (wood) were replaced in my family room, new wood windows installed in a bump-out to a bedroom and new siding installed and painted on the bump out.

They are fantastic. Rossi Bros. is very professional and great to work with. The shutters are the best quality of any I researched. I loved them so much that I had them put them in my 2nd home. They are presently waiting on the materials to repair and finish the existing decking. I can let you know more about that when the work is done.

One of six large (3x7) double pane windows was broken due to a rock being thrown by my mower. The windows were twenty five years old and were basically framed glass doors with a large (3x6) half circle window above the center two windows. After having 5 different companies look at the project (several of which ran away from this project) I chose Rossi Brothers and the Andersen windows. The price quoted was expensive but, for the job, reasonable. Josh, one of their reps, came out and gave me an estimate to replace the entire wall of windows in both rooms. The owner also came out to review the plans and together we all arrived at a doable solution. Josh was in charge of the three man crew that came out to do the work. The windows were installed in two days. The interior crown molding, trim, and columns were saved, restored, and repainted. They did a great job of protecting my furniture and carpeting and cleaned up everything both inside and out before leaving. We did have an issue with the fit and finish of one set of windows after initial work was done that was probably attributable to the complexity of the job. I called Josh and he came out by himself and spent one full day (from 9am to 9pm!!) and part of the next completely refinishing the interior woodwork to better match the existing interior. I was very satisfied with the final results to a very difficult job. Josh went over and above to insure my satisfaction with the end results. I would recommend Rossi Brothers for any remodeling needs and I love the Andersen windows.

We wanted to convert a window in our dining room into a door so we could have access to our sideyard which we recently fenced in and are currently installing a wood playset for our grandchildren. I contacted Rossi Brothers via e-mail on June 22nd and they called me the same day. Their salesman came to my home the following afternoon. He was very professional, knowledgeable about installation procedures, informative and made me feel like they really cared about doing the job right. After reviewing the bids that we had received and having the knowledge that over all the other bids that Rossi Brothers would handle everything from start to finish we picked Rossi Brothers to do the work. They called about a week after the contract was signed to schedule the installation date and said that the job would take about 2 days. They arrived around 10am on August 3rd and started working right away. Their lead installer was wonderful, very knowledgeable and conscientious. He called to let me know when they would arrive and if they were delayed I also got a call. He kept the work area clean inside and out as they worked throughout the day. The window and wall were out by mid-afternoon and the door was in place and weatherproofed by 4:30pm. They got to the house around 2pm on day 2 but they worked through till 7:30pm to get the interior and exterior complete and ready for the brick mason. The brick mason arrived on August 5th at 9am and started work right away they had reconstructed the side walls when I went out to look at the work - it looked amazing - after a brief discussion on resolving a gap that needed to be filled under the door plate they completed the work and left around 1pm. The one disappointing event in this whole job was that the mason washed out his wheelbarrows and tools on my blacktop driveway rather than on my lawn which has left a very ugly splash of mortar wash across my drive. I told the folks at Rossi Brothers about it they came out on August 7th to do the final inspection and they worked to clean the mortar stain off my driveway and said if necessary they will come back to clean it again. The door they installed looks fantastic. I would call on Rossi Brothers again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: The job entailed removing a portion of my bay window in my dining area to convert it to an entry to our side yard. They had to remove brick from the exterior wall of the bay, tear out the partial wall below the window and reposition an electrical outlet. The door install was completed in a day they returned the 2nd day to finish the trim installation and the 3rd day the brick mason came to rework the brick on the exterior. They also installed an outdoor light for us next to the door at no extra charge - we provided the light fixture.

Very professional and punctual. The contractor showed up on time and took detailed notes. It took about a week to get an estimate that was not itemized and only had a sentence on it. Price quoted was $40k-$50k above 3 other contractors (large and small). No work done and cannot use due to extreme price variation.
Description of Work: Received an estimate only for BR to Bath conversion and Utility Room to BR conversion.

It went really well. I was a bit nervous because I have always done work like this myself but I can not now due to an injury. In all honesty, I think it looks better than I could have done and knowing how long it took them (11/2 days) it would have taken me longer.
Description of Work: I had some rot on the trim of one window. I decided to go ahead and have the wood trim on all four windows upstairs replaced. I even had them bevel the lower horizontal trim piece on each window. Something that should have been done by the builder. They primed and painted, removed all old caulk and re-caulked and cleaned up everything. They did a great job.
