Plumb Genius misdiagnosed my plumbing issue several times, which created several unnecessary repairs that left my flooring and wall completely torn up. The last repair, which addressed the real issue, cost $3,700.13. The men doing the repair were grossly negligent and destroyed the piping and wiring for my sprinkler system. They knew I wouldn't be using it very soon since it was not the time of year for watering the lawn, and so they covered up the damage they created and didn't tell me about it. My landscaper discovered the issue right where they were digging when he started watering again. Plumb Genius refused to give me any signed documents and refused to assist with the repair. Although they may claim the damage is not their responsibility, consumers are protected by law from gross negligence, which is what occurred here. I wish I had checked out this company through the Better Business Bureau before contracting them. Do not use this company. They lack integrity and should be put out of business.

"What services did they perform" is an interesting question to ask and leads me into my horrible experience with this company. I answered that question with "Repair Pipe" but they quite literally did the opposite. Plumb Genius was called to repair a gas leak at my house from American Home Shield. The first appointment available was 5 days after I requested service. The plumber pulls up to my house (fully equipped with the knowledge that the gas was turned off by ONG, as it could have killed my family living in a house for 5 days with active gas leaking) and he stated that I was going to have to pay $375 for an air pressure test to find the leak as it was not going to be covered by American Home Shield. I scheduled another appointment with Plumb Genius, their earliest appointment was 6 days after the first (where the technician was paid a $125 service fee for absolutely 0 work done. Never even stepped foot inside). They come to my property for the 2nd time to run the test that I was paying out of pocket for. They arrived at my home at 2:30 and were there until 7pm. Their claim to me was that they had found 2 leaks but there was a 3rd that they could not locate. They swore up and down that the only spot it could be was in the fireplace and they needed a special tool to get to the leak in the fireplace. (It was late and they wanted to go home. There is no special tool required to move gas logs and look for a leak). Myself and the home warranty company demanded to them that they needed to come out the next morning to repair as it had been 12 full days with no hot water, cooking, laundry, dishwasher, heat. They called me to make the appointment and stated that "American Home Shield denied the claim to fix the 3rd leak and it was going to be $575 out of pocket, and $275 to open each valve that they closed." They never once mentioned that closing the valve (to keep the regulator safe) would result in a $275 fee to open again, times 2! The total was going to be $1250 out of pocket on top of the $375 Air Pressure test and $125 service fee. This is absolutely absurd. I cancelled their appointment and had an actually reputable plumber come to my house. Come to find out, the air pressure test is covered by the home warranty and they charged me to shut a valve and for a permit. They lied about what the $375 fee was for so that the customer would pay it and not know what they were talking about. Within the first 10 minutes of him being there, he found the gas leak. The leak was where Plumb Genius had claimed to completely repair it! They lied about the repair so that the air pressure test would show there was still an active leak, so that American Home Shield would deny the claim, and they would get $1250 out of my pocket. This is illegal, unethical, and disgusting. I have filed an FTC fraud complaint, BBB complaints, and I have filed a police report. There have been multiple lawsuits against Plumb Genius, check OSCN for more information on those. This is clearly a common reoccurrence with their company and I couldn't say a single good thing about them. Read the hundreds of reviews on Google, Yelp, BBB, Facebook groups, and so on. I have images and proof from others, including ONG, that they lied about making repairs to squeeze money out of this job. I am appalled, disgusted, and I hope that the police investigate this company to their full ability and find that they are stealing from customers.

The purpose of this email is to report unethical and illegal practices on the part of Plumb Genius, LLC of 25 Fretz Ave, Edmond, OK 73003 and ask that they be investigated and stopped from committing fraud toward anyone else as they did us. On 5/27/20 my wife and I filed a claim with our home warranty policy with American Home Shield (AHS) due to a problem with our hot water tank leaking water. We paid AHS the required $75 upfront to initiate the claim and cover the service call. Our hot water tank was continuously leaking water from the tank, we checked our policy and it showed that the hot water tank was covered. On 6/1/20 Plumb Genius was dispatched to our home at 3717 S. Aster Ave., Broken Arrow, OK 74011. The two technicians that arrived representing Plumb Genius informed my wife and I multiple times that the hot water heater was covered by the home warranty and they would take care of getting it replaced. They placed a pressure gage on the exterior hydrant and reported that the water pressure was reading 120 psi. They came in the house and checked the water pressure at the washing machine hook up with the same pressure gage and reported that the pressure was 125 psi. They said that the water pressure was high but they would have to call American Home Shield and see what they decide. I asked them if they had another pressure gage to check to verify that the gage is accurate. The technician said that they only have one gage but it is new so it should be accurate. I ask them to please go get another pressure gage and check the accuracy of the first gage. They would not get another gage, they just kept saying “it’s got to be accurate because it’s a new gage. The technicians told us that they were going out to their van and would be back. They went and got in their van and left. Right after they left American Home Shield called us and informed us that they would not cover the hot water heater replacement due to excessively high water pressure. I talked to AHS about possibly getting someone else to come by with another pressure gage and check it because I thought that Plumb Genius’s pressure gage was wrong. AHS said that they could get someone out there to double check the pressure but it would cost another $75 service call. I told them that I shouldn’t have to pay an additional $75 because their gage is wrong. The next day I called the City of Broken Arrow to inquire about the city water pressure. That evening they had the City of Broken Arrow night crew to come by and checked the water pressure. The City of Broken Arrow informed my wife and I that the water pressure was normal, was not excessive, and would not cause any damage. While the Plumb Genius technicians were at our home for the service call, they ask me to sign their ipad. They said my signature only acknowledges that they were present at the service call. The ipad was blank except for the signature box. Trusting their professionalism and in good faith I signed in the signature box acknowledging that they were at my home on the service call. The next day (6/02/20), I received an email with an attached invoice from Plumb Genius for $156.98 for their service call on 6/01/20. Plumb Genius took my signature, acknowledging that they were at the service call, and cut and pasted it to their invoice to me for the $156.98. Which gives the impression that I had signed the invoice agreeing to the $156.98 in which I did NOT. That is illegal and fraudulent! My wife and I had already paid American Home Shield $75 for the service call upfront and now Plumb Genius is charging us again for the same service call? Plumb Genius falsely reported a high water pressure to American Home Shield which as a result caused our claim for a hot water heater to get denied. But also included in their invoice to us for $156.98, they included a quote for $1,758 for them to install a new hot water tank since the claim was denied. I called Plumb Genius office in Edmond, Oklahoma and asked the lady that answered the phone why I was invoiced $156.98 for a service call that I had already paid American Home Shield for upfront. She said that is Plumb Genius’ bill to American Home Shield and as soon as they pay the invoice that my name will come off. I told her my name should have never been on this invoice. If this is what you invoice American Home Shield, then their name should be on the invoice and not mine. I told her that I want my name off of the invoice. I have already paid AHS for the service call and I never agreed to these charges. She said “that’s just how our system works and there’s nothing I can do about it.” She then said, “I’m not going to waste my time arguing with you about something so trivial”. She then hung up on me. A few minutes later I received a call from a manager in the Plumb Genius office (Jason at (405)508-0687) Jason ask what he could do to help me. I voiced my concerns regarding the previously stated issues: (1) Falsely reporting the water pressure, refusing to get another pressure gage to verify it, resulting in my claim being denied. (2) Sending me an invoice ($156.98) for a service call that I had already paid AHS $75 for that same service call. (3) Falsifying my signature on the $156.98 Invoice as if I acknowledged and agreed to the charges in which a did NOT. Jason with Plumb Genius said that he would have to get back to me and never did. I called Jason with Plumb Genius again on 7/15/20. I told him that he promised me that he would get back with me and never did. He said that he thought he had got back with me. I asked Jason what he was going to do to correct this situation. He said that he stands by the pressure gage reading his tech got in the field. I asked him to take my name off the invoice that I was wrongfully sent on which my signature was fraudulently copied and pasted. He said that he cannot do that because they send those to everyone and that is the invoice to the American Home Shield. How many people pay off this invoice thinking they owe this additional $156.98 to Plumb Genius! Plus, this shows as an outstanding unpaid amount due on my credit! These crooks need to be stopped!!!!!! And I am asking you respectively to help me stop them. The American Society of Plumbing Engineers publishes a code of ethics for its members. Within the ASPE Code of Ethics it states; “ The professional plumber should embrace the ethical values of honesty, transparency, fairness and justice, integrity, equity and impartiality when delivering plumbing services to ensure professional responsibility and accountability.” Plumb Genius has NOT lived up to ANY part of this code of ethics and should be held accountable. My wife and I are asking for Plumb Genius, LLC to be investigated and held accountable so they don’t take advantage of anyone else.

My sewer insurance coverage is through Home Serve USA. I followed the procedure of contacting Home Serve and they in turn gave the order for service to PlumbGenius. PlumbGenius reps showed up April 27, 2016, at my door telling me that they were there to take care of my sewer problem. They did not introduce themselves to give me their names. They wanted to know where the bathrooms were and was there a clean-out for the sewer. I showed them where the clean-out was located and from there things went downhill. They used a locator to find how deep the sewer was buried. It was indicated to me that they were not supposed to talk with me but with Home Serve. I pointed out that I was the home owner and needed to be included in the communications. Tony Crofford, the owner operator of PlumbGenius told me that it was going to be expensive to repair.( I think this is where he estimated my charge of $5100. prematurely.) As it turned out it could not be repaired and the sewer line needed to be dug up by hand and replaced. The depth was ten feet. In addition to my charge HomeServe paid their maximum of $3000 making the total charge $8,100. Mr Crofford told me that PlumbGenius would make sure that they cleaned up all of the sewer debris that was removed and fill the low places left after the line had completely settled. This was not done. The debris was mostly cleaned up on August 18, 2016 almost 3 months later when Cecil Stonebarger, PlumbGenius employee loaded the debris in his truck. Mr. Crofford and his crew tore out part of my sprinkler system as well as the drainage system. He said that he was not going to reinstall these two items because they were not covered under my policy; therefore, he would not put them back without me paying him more money. Exact words "I do not work for free". In the contract it stated that everything would be put back to the way it was before the repair. There is still a 10ft hole in my front yard and my sprinklers are all having to be replaced. Mr. Crofford will not repair the damage his company caused without more money and I refuse to pay him ever again. I have a new company out to fix the sprinklers and fill in the hole. Never pay until the work is done. I am an 80 year old woman that lives alone and I feel like Mr. Crofford/Plumb Genius took advantage of me. $8100 to dig a 10 foot hole and replace a sewer line is ridiculous.

The plumber came out for the first call and told me the faucet would need to be replaced because the line connected to it was soldered in and could not be removed and replaced. I was charged $75.00 just to check it. I went and bought a new faucet and the same tech came out and installed it and THEN informed me that it was not covered by the home warranty because the connection between the faucet line and the extension had been "overtightened" and was not therefore covered, even though it was not the connection that leaked but rather the fitting itself. Checked with two other plumbers who said they would only have charged $150.00 tops. And this guy tried to tell me he had given me a big discount. Do not use this plumbing company!

They were sent out by the American Homeshield warranty company. I had no say so. I would not recommend them to anybody for any reason. It took the, three weeks to repair. That's one of the reasons I was kind of pissed at them because it took so long to do the repair. It seemed like they were out here 20 times but only did four hours of work. I had to pay almost $1400 and the American Homeshield covered $1000 of it. The pricing was probably about average, I guess.

I was assigned to Plumb Genius by my home warrnanty company, America Home Shield. I was contacted quickly by the scheduler for the company. She was very polite and professional. Unfortunatley she could not get me on the schedule for two Days -Sunday Morning. That was going to leave me two days with no hot water. I was able to schedule with a compeitior - not assigned through the warranty company who was available within 3 hours. Obviously they do not have the staff to cover the demands.
