OLSHAN FOUNDATION REPAIR

Check above what the provider did. It was just an estimate to see if we had a problem They said a good rain would take care of the cracks. There was no services rendered. They did a thorough job of checking foundation and house. They were prompt. Explained everything very well and very nice. I was satisfied and would call them again.

I called last year and and had to call again this year for them to come out. I understand being busy, but,I already had work done from them. The were behind due to the dry weather last year. They did get my door to work, now my windows will not open.I called to see when they will be out to fix or have another pier put in. Have not heard from anyone as of yet.

I did not get an evaluation from an independent structural engineer, perhaps I should have. However three of the five companies I received estimates from all had similar proposals, and were in about the same price range from $7,000 - 10,000. My only reasons for not going with Olshan were: The firm I went with is completely locally owned and operated. An officer in the company actually lives nearby. The company I went with I think had a little better proposal, and were slightly less expensive.Although the guys I went with saw the house sometime later when the damage on the southwest corner was even more apparent. Olshan did have a better warranty Also it would have taken Olshan longer to get to us, all foundation repair companies in the area right now have all the work they can do because of drought damage.. The biggest drawback I saw with Olshan was they subcontract the foam injection for the interior foundation work to another company. While I have every reason to believe the other company is a reputable firm, I preferred the turnkey approach of the company I used. I work for a place that has major projects and you get subcontractors involved and if there are problems] It cam turn into a game of the other guy did it. I didn't see any major problems with Olshan and would certainly consider them and recommend someone else needing foundation repair , do at least seek a quote from them.

over all work was initially performed and was fairly good but not perfect. the second time they came out the work was redone because the fixture had slipped and had to be redone. They came out a third time and had to pier another side of the house and check previous piering and left a real mess. Rocks, large holes across the street where they backed into soft dirt and left it that way, left all their trash from lunch and didn't fix the sidewalk from previous visit when they said they would. Representative came back first of the year and apologized and said they would come back and finish with the next job out this way. never happened. still waiting update: Olshan finally came out and performed the work as we asked and so far no further problems. Put old concrete where they should not have, but all in all it worked without too much come behind and do yourself. They say they are under new management and I certainly hope that is good.

My experience was very positive for everything. They were very helpful and positive.

I was a little shocked when I received a structural repair quote for over 25 piers from Olshan. I then paid an independant structural engineer that was not associated wtih any company to evaluate our home who determined that we only needed 3 piers. Needless to say, we did not have Olshan do the work since they grossely overbid the project. (at that time it was about $500 a pier) Moral of the story, always get a second opinion on major work, I'm glad I did.

While lifting the corner of our brick fireplace, the front collapsed into our living room. If I had been in the room, I could have been killed with flying bricks and mortar. After the collapse they became impossible to work with. They lied to me over and over and over about when they would have someone out to fix the mess. Our living room was destroyed and unlivable for eight weeks. We tried to be reasonable but they wanted to ignore us and hope we'd go away. I don't think they would've ever fixed anything if I hadn't had a fit. They also left holes in the yard. The repairs never did get completely finished because I got mad and told them to forget it I'd handle the rest myself.

THEY STARTED THE JOB RIGHT AWAY AND THEY MET THEIR DEADLINE. I AM HAPPY WITH THE GREAT JOB THIS COMPANY DID. I WILL RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK.

THEY DID A HORRIBLE JOB ON REPLACING AND REPAIRING THE FOUNDATION ON MY HOME. THEY LEFT A BIG MESS WHEN THEY WOULD LEAVE FOR THE DAY AS WELL AS NOT RETURNING TO WORK AFTER I ASKED THEM TO CLEAN UP A LITTLE BETTER.

THE WORK WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY AND NOW, THERE ARE CRACKS THROUGH THE FOUNDATION. WE ARE UNABLE TO SELL OUR HOME, UNLESS WE HAVE SOMEONE ELSE COME OUT AND REDO ALL THE WORK OR TAKE THE PRICE OFF OF THE ASKING PRICE OF THE HOUSE.
