NOSAK TREE SERVICE

Ice storm just before Xmas caused one of 4 large trunks to split and fall across the driveway. A second trunk also split and threatened adjacent neighbors home. Of 3 bidders, only Paul Nosak had the knowledge that a tree blocking a driveway could be an insurance claim. Paul Nosak worked directly with the insurance company and saved us considerable money. He also worked with the neighbor to assure the tree didn't fall on his home by securing it with a crane truck. It took 2 crane trucks, 2 bobcats and an 18 wheel semi to pull the tree down without additional damage. Paul responded immediately to stabilize the tree with one of his crane trucks Xmas eve and had the whole tree removed in two days.

One was in the backyard with difficult access and they craned parts of the tree over in pieces which saved damaging some of the lawn. They have lots equipment. They also do stump grinding.

Prologue I'd be skeptical of a review with all perfect marks, but let me tell you my story. I signed up for this site specifically for my tree problem, it was endangering my powerlines and growing into my garage and it is just in a really difficult spot in my tiny backyard. Being adjacent to all my valuable stuff( powerlines, house, garage, hanging over into 2 neighbors' yards) difficulty of this job was an all time high. This thing already had branches from the August storm laying on my powerline(Not AEP's responsibility) and was like one more big storm away for sheer devastation. I looked at many reviews for the going rate of cutting a tree like this out. I called the top reviewed guy on this site and he never came out to see my tree for a quote. A week later I called Nosak, I watched their show a few nights in the aftermath of that 2007 ice storm, so I knew what they could do. So Paul comes out almost immediately and is exactly on the same page as what I'm telling him about my tree. He quotes me the exact going rate I researched on here and says he could be out tomorrow. I was amazed by the turn around but I had to work the next day and told him so. He said this was no problem they would just come back when I got off work so I could pay them, incredible. Being a worry wart, the entire next day I was on the edge of my seat near phone at the office just in case. I didn't hear anything all day and when I got home at the normal time the tree was gone and everything was all cleaned up around it. Paul called me and then came by a few minutes later. I can't thank these guys enough for making what I thought was going to be a really troubling experience such a completely smooth and professional transaction.

It was an expensive job but I had to get it done. He was the cheapest that I found; the other companies wanted $2,400 minimum. He has a big truck with a bucket on it and another huge truck that swings over the top of your house. There were guys in the trees removing branches and one of the big limbs fell down and broke the electric unit to my home. The electric company came out to reattach the wire and they were impressed with the whole Nosak operation; they didn’t charge him and it certainly wasn’t on my bill. They cracked my driveway with their huge truck and I am still waiting for him to send someone over to repair it. They even have a street sweeper so they can clean up most of their debris. They are really prepared to do the job but their punctuality is not all that great.

Even though I really liked the work Paul Nosak had done taking out my three large trees, he still charged a real exorbitant price. I found out later that I could have had the same service done for about a quarter of the price and this makes it so I will probably not use his service again. Having good quality and representation is one thing, but charging someone who didn t really shop around such an extensive price is another.
