Description of Work: Piers were put in around the house and we paid for the warranty work .. we have asked them to come back out and to adjust the piers that they put in and we can’t even get a call back .. this is the most unprofessional business I have ever worked with… And the rudest people. Do not do business with this company .

I called 12/17/2020 to set up an appointment for an estimate and spoke with the owner, Steven, who scheduled me for 12/30. Two days before the appointment Angela called to reschedule to the following week due to incoming inclement weather. So I rescheduled for 1/4/2021 and confirmed the appointment the day of. Around noon, Angela said Steven would call when he was on his way since I, too, would have to drive to the address where we needed the estimate. Unfortunately the owner never called or showed up. I tried texting and calling Angela but received no response. Hours later I got a text from Angela that Steven went by the house early. Really?! I had already told them I don't live at the house where the estimate was needed. I don't really believe he went at all. If he did, then clearly he did not listen to me or respect my time or the clients I had scheduled that afternoon. Trying to work with this company was a total waste of my time.

The following is my opinion and experience with Master Lift foundation repair. This is a company that doesn't care how the job goes. Owner is Steve Glasscock, a mad dude that refuses to correct situations. Will not make a personal visit. He circled block 2x's and left. Said he couldn't find it. NO GPS knowledge? PMgr. left with my copy of contract and the office refuses to return it. So, definitely NOT going to correct/warranty/guarantee work. No mask or preventative measures. Language barrier without remedies. They stomp landscaping and leave holes 6' deep open -overnight. So dangerous! They cracked rockwork and the patches were horrible! Cracked concrete slab directly in front of front door. and will not repair. Foam injection gun leaked on slab and they smeared cement on it to cover. What a mess. Project manager is missing 90% of time, 5% sits in truck. Stated "we could pull the wool over most people's eyes cause they aren't watching what we do." Yep, he said this because I was trying to watch their work. They came back 1x to patch more cracks that appeared, but not all of them. They did not fix the main concern I had initially, so I ended up without my money, big crack and smears on front porch, many more cracks in rock work- much worse off than I had from the beginning. Sure wish I had never dealt with these folks. Office person Angela will hang up on you and not return calls. Refuses to send paper work or receipt for money. Do Not Hire these people, they are awful, in my opinion. I question if this is a front for something or a joke, cause they are not professional or skilled, in my opinion. ;( -F. Should be out of business.

Scope of work: easy 1) front sidewalk lift 3/4” 2) back patio 1/2 “ 3) drill hole and fill (unfortunately foam, advise use concrete mud silt with sand) 3) level of difficulty 1 on a scale of 1 to 5 Performance of job: F 1) unfinished-front sidewalk still not done and back patio is not done as per contract. 2) the resulting work cracked the sidewalk portion that needed raising and moved the problem over to a perfectly fine part of sidewalk. Solution drill another hole and attempt to repair that part. Result: raised another section . Solution: drill another hole in that portion of concrete. The problem was made worse than the original problem. 3) Master Lift blamed it on tree roots then ,no, it was the compressor. 4) Sadly they took a check and cashed it so “you got me President Steve “. 5) I trusted them to do the right work while I was at work and wife home. Pretty sad. Responsiveness: F 1) Zach-the worker seemed confused and blamed tree roots and then a bad compressor as he continued to pump more foam in the ground. Help me please understand why you continued to pump more foam over the contract amount when it was known the compressor was only pumping 30# of pressure vs 130# needed? (To his admission) 2) 2x’s I was told by Bridgette (Tulsa office)” STEVE said he would come over to check..”. My wife was on point to call me and President Steve (man in charge) never showed nor called. Bridgette was responsive and repeatedly apologized for both STEVE and Zach lack of performance. She should leave as she is left to do STEVE and Zach dirty work. Pretty sad. 3) the phones went silent in terms of repeated calls to contact me to reconcile situation. STEVE actually blamed his lack of responsiveness on his Apple iPhone (said bad for two weeks..I call bs) 4) in the end, President of Master Lift more interested in playing contract card vs refunding and doing the right thing. That is a character flaw in a person. 5) Work started 6/29, today is 7/18 and still not complete. I fully expect Master Lift (President STEVE) to respond in this blog with “Sorry to hear that...you didn’t want us to come back...my phone was broke for two weeks (I bet it worked if he got a call to pick up a check). It is true I cut my losses, don’t trust further damage and work quality along with very poor customer service. I have waited since 6/29 and put up with crap work on my sidewalk. I will now have my sidewalk repoured with concrete.....thank you Master Lift and enjoy the $600 check you cashed!

The patio has a low spot in the South East corner indicating the patio was not sloped properly to drain. The improper drainage causes staining, additional spalling, and material defects in the future. The finish is extremely rough and we are unable to walk on it in bare feet. This is important because the patio is adjacent to our pool. I have a structural engineer's report that comfirms the above and states the only way to correct the defects is to remove and replace the patio. Master Lift gave me a 1 year warrenty; however, they do not answer my calls or return my calls, indicating they have no intention of honoring their warrenty.

It was obvious to me that the company's rep was simply trying to sell piers. His suggestions were all over the place. He changed his opinion when he realized I knew what I was talking about on certain issues, like whether or not the porch was part of the structural foundation among others. I would not ever recommend allowing this person to determine whether or not your home needs piers while he is employed as a pier salesman. Go to an engineer not associated with a company trying to sell you piers.

Not very nice and very unwilling to look at our problem. Refused to come and look at our house since we had piers installed by a competitor years ago and we're unhappy with the competitors service so we called Master lift. Steve said he would not get in the middle of anything. I wasn't asking him to get in the middle of anything. I just wanted my foundation to get repaired. Offered to give a referral to a structural engineer. Now if he were to actually come look and we need a more in depth evaluation or was unsure, then I would recommend the structural engineer. What a great way to run a business. As you know, there are many good reputable companies and I chose yours. Thanks for not letting me make a future mistake.

Description of Work: 6 piers were placed under our home and a broken concrete slab was busted out and removed. There was some misunderstanding about the addition work and they had to return at an inopportune time to complete the work. One of the exterior cracks is still present, but it was too difficult for the owner or manager to come back and take a look at it after multiple attempts at contacting him so we finally gave up trying and are hoping it was completed correctly.

[removed member name], We clearly explained the project to you and I was out at your home on 2 separate occasions. This was a one day project and for the owner to come out twice to check in on things is very accommodating in our opinion. We also had a project manager on site the entire time and you were given the opportunity to speak with him directly. We did a good job for you guys and tore out an entire cement patio for free. You're writing a review over a year later and have not attempted to contact me in any way at all. You are in the process of selling your home so I guess that sparked this review but I spoke with your agent and the structural engineer last week. I provided them with the documents they requested and the engineer is satisfied with the project so if you had any input or feedback you certainly could have contacted me directly. Good luck selling your home and make sure the new owners submit the proper paperwork so the warranty will be transferred.

They came out and told me that we needed a lot of work done to our home. He told me that it was very unstable in the forms and was dropping down. He stated that I needed to have pears along the front of my home. He also recommended that I call a structural engineer. Later that evening he sent me a quote for almost 11K. I called the engineer and he came out and looked at the home and said that there was no problem and the plan that this company would do would not help. He said to just have the home leveled. I sent that info to the company and they respond that they were too busy now to do any work.

[removed member name], I'm sorry to see you carry this with you and I hope you do find the help you need. Why haven't you contacted me personally to discuss your needs? Your complaint is very vague and doesn't quite state the facts or carry the details through so I will do that for you. First off, lets point out that you were 30 minutes late for our scheduled appointment and I did wait for you. You stated you were in a hurry once you arrived and accosted your child in front of me which was a bit uncomfortable to say the least. You then pointed out substantial separation in your hardwood floors and we discovered that portion was glued down rather than nailed, which would explain why the hallway looked the way it does and the living room did not. We then proceeded and did find doors that were mis-aligned and no longer properly working, particularly in the hallway and your sons room towards the front of the home. I proceeded with my free inspection and began taking elevations using our digital Zip Level and found a drop of 8/10's of and inch from the hallway to one and three quarters of an inch drop towards the front portion of the home. These were the areas of concern and therefore elevations revealed you do have almost two inches of settling towards the front of your home and the heaviest section of the home where your large stone faced fireplace resides. I then stated that although you do have settling issues that visually it was not really bad and that was because you do have a home that is a crawl space and that settling on this type of home is typically not as extreme as a slab on grade. I then proceeded and personally advised you to contact a local structural engineer and I personally gave you a list of engineers to contact. So with that being said I'm not sure I quite understand your complaint as I offered you up a second opinion. If I were trying to mis-lead you then why would I offer up a list of engineers for a second opinion? I simply offered you my estimate and opinion on what it would take to stabilize your home and help prevent substantial settling in the future. You never provided me with an engineer's report or structural elevation profile created by the engineer. Did the engineer you chose even take elevations using a professional method or was it only a visual inspection? Visually, yes your home looks ok with minimal settling and most local engineer's will not require structural repair unless they see 1/4 of an inch in separation or major interior cracking. They will advise you to watch your home and see if it continues to settle and if it does to call them for an additional inspection at a later date. You even stated your very expensive custom front door was unstable at times so obviously you do have settling issues and it was my impression from your statements that you wanted to address those issues and stabilize your home. [removed member name], with structural issues and settling of this nature it is kind of a double edged sword as if you wait to stabilize your home then future cosmetic damages can be substantially more significant. If you wait and your home no longer suffers any additional settling issues then you are very fortunate and one of very few given the age of your home. I'm sure many members of Angie's list in our area will attest to the fact and some have waited and paid dearly for it and there are many others that are not fortunate enough to proceed with repairs and their homes become damaged beyond repair. You have the right to make a choice on what you want to do with your home and I wish you the best in whatever decision you make in the future. I provided you an engineer's opinion and you chose that so go with that and do not try and slander my company or legal proceedings with follow. I have a very good reputation and I appreciate your feedback, but you could have contacted me personally to discuss your opinion rather than attempting to cowardly blast me on Angie's list. May peace be with you and your husband.
