The sale of the flooring went ok and they came out to measure. Then tried to get a conformation from installer on date. No return calls after many voice mails left. Later I get call on why we have not picked up flooring and I told them that I did not have a conformation on the install date. Hired someone to go get flooring at the last min or our install would have been delayed for 2 months. Also when I complained that I never received a return call they told me I could pick someone else again delaying the install two months. Lumber liquidators subs out their installs so you wont be dealing direct with them. The day the install was done they wanted to lay the floor the wrong way to make it more simple for them, but did agree to install they way we wanted. I had a contractor working with me on the property and he told them to fix a number of items, such as the flooring not going all the way to the wall. They filled in a number of places with putty to hide it. The main issues however is that they did not order enough transitions that go between rooms and this has caused numerous issues. Currently we have cracks in the flooring. Wide gaps, etc., and still no transitions. After a number of weeks we were told that the install company had gone out of business. Since the install company will not do the work I started calling anyone that would answer the phone at Lumber Liquidators. I have talked to persons at the store and left numerous messages for the store manager and have NEVER been called back to get the floor repaired. I have spoken to the people at their corporate headquarters in Virginia and they promise the moon but never deliver. I am now having to hire my contractor to go get the needed transitions and install them along with numerous issues with the floor. DO NOT USE LUMBER LIQUIDATORS EVER!

Description of Work: They used wrong materials when installing the wood floors and the planks in the floor warped and curved after about one week. The local office wouldn't respond to our calls and after about a month of avoiding our calls emailed us to let us know that we should contact the headquarters. The story continued... After months of calling, they finally send someone up to check on the floors. We are still waiting for the new floor to arrive (supposedly this month). A new installer should be contacting us soon as well. |We will never use Lumber Liquidators in the future and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Very unprofessional.

Description of Work: We purchase 1000 sqft of engineered hardwood floors and the glue for laying it. It is supposed to have 5-10% of unusable pieces. I would say what I got about 1/3rd is pretty crappy, 1/3rd is decent, and 1/3rd is excellent. Warped boards have been my major concern and I have not installed them. I plan to see if LL will trade me out for better wood, but they have a strange return policy. Not sure how it will go. Luckily, I think we over ordered and when have not wasted any of the good stuff. It has been hard installing ourselves, but it looks amazing. I would never ever install more than 300 sqft myself again. It has been 4 days of working round the clock and we are only half done. It has been a great learning experience. I like what we got from LL. Their return policy and warranty are pretty sketchy so I would know what you are getting yourself into.

Where do I begin? Purchased Bamboo wood floors for about 4000. and then paid to have them installed for another 3000.00. Now we went with LL because they are a national chain and wanted the warranty. LL contracted with someone ( I will leave his name out) to install our floors. Initial installation was awful! In the total price, it included leveling the floors and that was about $700.00 and they did not level the floors. Contractor's helpers did put concrete down to level the floors, but it was not level. We had boards popping up, not flush, separating, boards cut too small, etc. I (wife) questioned this and was told that they would swell and fill in the space. Now, my husband (after working out of town) came home and called LL. Bradley, the new installation manager came out looked at the floors and was embarrassed and I will say that he had only assumed this position within the week. So we wanted to give Bradley the benefit of the doubt. However, I do want to say that we did file a claim with corporate as we did spend $7000.00! Contractor came out and looked at the floors and agreed that there were problems. Contractor ended up coming and ripping up entire floors and completing the whole process again. Second time around, I will say that they are much better, however, you now can walk and feel the bumps of concrete that are higher in the spots that were too low to begin with. Although the floors are beautiful, the installation is very subpar! It is sad that you pay that much money and get that type of service. But, the contractor did try to make it right and do good. I do want to say that in this whole process that Bradley (Installation Manager) NEVER followed up with us or came to see if it was done correctly, etc. I think that speaks volumes of his character and what type of job he will produce in the future for LL. Just saying! I also gave a score of "C" on professionalism because the contractor came out and tried to make it right. I appreciated that and want to acknowledge that. However, not that it was completed right. I am saddened that you save and save to upgrade and you get this quality from a national chain such as LL.

We went into the store, selected a product, scheduled a time and date for measurements and paid a $50 deposit. They never showed up. We called the next day and they said they were having computer problems and didn't see our appointment. They apologized and said they would call back soon to reschedule. We never heard from them. We went to the store and requested a refund of our deposit. It was done without argument.
Description of Work: They were supposed to come to our home and measure for wood floor installation.
