Casey Pyle, the contractor / owner of FFC gave an $1,850 estimate, which seemed a bit high, but he promised to have the work done in four days, which was wonderful, as I am a Army National Guard member who is deploying, and the work would have been done, prior to me leaving for my train-up for an Afghanistan deployment. We signed the contract on 02-15-2011 and turned over the keys. Work was not completed by 03-05-2011 and Mr. Pyle was let go by my wife. The deck it'self was already done, but Mr. Pyle was to improve it and finish a railing; no railing was ever completed, and there is actually less railing now than before he started. The garage was less than 3/4 sided and not completed, and there was a visible gap at the bottom of the garage on the back side. Garage door was installed incorrectly and will not shut or seal and roof bracing was cut to make it (not) fit. I'm no contractor, but even I know the slip-shod bracing is not to code, and now needs to be repaired. Metal facia that was installed all of about 16 ft long. It was hung on the back side of the house and has multiple buckles (waves) in it - looks terrible; job not even close to being complete. Kitchen Cabinet doors were stained, however they were not all sealed and the ones that were, the texture is rough (like sandpaper) to the touch. Vanity light: old light removed and new light is not centered and is hanging by the electrical wires. Light above toilet: Not done and fixture was allegedly stolen...(see below) Mr. Pyle was then paid to replace a door that was kicked in when my house was burglarized. This is probably due to him not installing the deadbolt locks provided to him (maybe I expect to much for having the house for 14 days). The new door doesn't seal and has lot's of visible light around the edges. On top of this, he wants to be paid for cleaning the garage, where he allleges that threw away two granite table tops and a granite backsplash, along with all the wood, that was to be used for the front deck railing. Kind of wierd how all that stuff could be used by a contractor, yet he takes it to the dump.... Another really oddity is that a tote full of misc. parts and locks (all paid for by me), a new, in- the-box garage door opener, and some other items were all stolen from the house. No appliances were touched, but items a contractor would use - all gone. The garage was allegedly broken into also, yet there is no evedence of forced entry - this break-in cost me over $700 in repairs and losses. I find this way to coincidental, that the break in occured on the doors in which he failed to install the locks. What kind of burglars break in and steal plumbing parts and deadbold locks...? Tulsa Police Department Report # 2011011948 On top of all of that, he attempted to double bill items, and bill us for work not done or done by the previous contractor. Luckily the previous contractor was able to meet my wife and refute many of the charges and false billings. In summary, FFC (Frame to Finish Construction), owned and operated by Casey Pyle, did not complete the job in three times the amount of time agreed upon. They do lousy work, and they overbill customers for parts not purchased, and work not done. There is the possibility that FFC empoyees may be behind my house being burglarized. FFC also cleaned out my garage, and threw away (or stole) items of obvious use and value. If you are thinking about doing work with FFC, turn and run the other direction. I can back up 90% of all claims with photos and and contracts. Mr. Pyle is currently threatening to sue me for breaking the contract. Are you kidding me?!!?
