They did a great job. I'm going to be using them when I replace my heat/AC units next year.

The Dowd prices were the least expensive of the six bids I got for what I needed. There was no sales BS in my first meeting with them, just straight answers to my questions and the best assessment of the need for an additional air intake (which all bidders stated needed to be installed). Dowd provided the earliest date for installation and stuck to their schedule. The installation went well and they were professional throughout the process, keeping me updated on progress. The only negatives experienced were that one of the workers inadvertently stepped through the ceiling of the laundry room. The had a contractor fix that the next day and it is not visible now where this happened. They also jammed the automatic garage door off of its track when leaving, but paid for a garage door technician to repair that as well. Overall, I am well satisfied with the new AC/heat unit, the new duct work and Dowd's and the installation. I would recommend them to others.

Our A/C went out at (of course) the hottest time it could pick. We have a service plan with a big-name company in Tulsa and they had just been here 6 weeks prior to do the spring service and not mentioned anything in danger of going out. So on a Friday morning, I called them and they said they couldn't get to us until Monday or Tuesday. Pffft. I called a few others and was told dates as late as the following Thursday. Then I called Dowd (thank you Angie's List) and they told me if they couldn't get to me today, they could tomorrow. Well, that's about as good as I was going to get so I said I'd take it. Fortunately for me, they had some cancellations that day and were able to come over around 6 in the evening. Turned out it was the capacitor and an easy fix. The guys that came over (I've forgotten their names, sorry) were polite and professional and fixed it promptly. I am SO grateful for Dowd and I think as soon as my service plan with "that other company" expires after this fall tune up, I will be calling on Dowd from now on.

The real genius.

They did everything they promised, on time and competently. They showed up right on schedule and installed the new system in just over a day. The work seemed very competent....everything has functioned great for a few weeks now. And they were friendly and helpful during the install. When I have called them back for help on the registration process, they have been very helpful. I would certainly recommend them for repair work or new installation.

Our central heater quit producing heat. I have used Dowd Heat & Air previously to install a new air conditioner compressor and to solve a upstairs air conditioner condensation drain problem that cause water to collect in the pan of my unit, and they gave me great service both times. So, when my central heat quit blowing hot air, I called them and they came out that afternoon and replaced a part in the heater that had gone out and helped me with my thermostat so we got heat again. I have been impressed that with each service call, they are quick to recognize the cause of the problem and to make the needed repairs and at a reasonable cost. On my previously mentioned condensation drain problem, I had first called another large Tulsa air conditioning company who came out, but could not figure out how to solve the problem - they tried some things, but it did not work. After having the large company out twice, I tried Dowd Heat & Air. They quickly found the problem and fixed it, solving my water problem. Dowd may not have a large fleet of fancy trucks like the big company, but they have service people who know what to do and get the job done.

We needed a new A/C unit, and I called all over town. Dowd handled the job efficiently, patiently, and inexpensively. We have such great A/C now, that I have to change the temperature to keep from being chilly in my home -- even on 100 degree days! Amazing quality in the Rheem unit, and amazing service from Dowd. They came out with 4 technicians, and the work was done "in record time." We could not be happier. I totally recommend Dowd.

I have two Rheem Split systems at my house for heating and cooling. The downstairs A/C system developed a leak. Dowd Heating & Air was recommended to me. I called them on Tuesday morning and they came out that evening and found the leak in the evaporator coil. By nine that evening, they provided pricing for four (4) options to fix my A/C unit from just replacing the evaporator coil to replacing the entire A/C and Heating system. I got pricing the next day from two other A/C contractors, one of which would only provide pricing to replace the entire system. I selected Dowd to replace the evaporator coil and we scheduled the work for 9:00 am on Friday. The arrived on time and did a very good job. The two men that did the work answered all of our questions and were very nice. Was very pleased with the job they did.
