She was supposed to help me organize. Came 2X after I called her over and over. Would not refund left over money when she did not deliver all the hours I paid for.

My experience was a really bad one. It seemed like it would go well at first and just ended up going downhill. It all began with me trying to get my garage organized for Father's Day as a gift for my husband. Well, I looked up organizing companies and called around. Well, I ended up setting up a free consultation with Faith Earls of Completely Organized Tulsa. I should have known that it may be some issues when she told me she would come one day at a certain time and pushed the time back, then she ultimately changed the date. When she did come, she brought her eight month old baby with her which was fine because it was a free consultation after all. I showed her my garage which has not been touched since we bought and moved into this house a year ago. She walked around and looked at it and quoted me a price of $50.00 per hour. Well, we set up an appointment for the next week which was this past Wednesday. She told me I needed to purchase shelves for the garage to have someplace to put stuff and organize it. She said she would have someone with her with the tools to place the shelves. I went to Home Depot and purchased shelves that cost me over $300.00 in all. When they arrived she told me she was texting me sleepy the evening before and didn't realize she told me to get those, she thought I was getting cabinets! So they didn't have the tools to put the shelves up. Now I have $300.00 worth of shelves sitting in my garage that I purchased because she recommended it to me. She informed me the day before that she would be working with me from 10 am-2 pm. She was supposed to arrive at 10:00 am and charges by the hour. She arrived at 10:10 am and worked until 11:20 and said she needed a break to pump milk for her baby and have lunch. It was frustrating because she had only been working for one hour and our time was already limited to begin with. You would think she would eat and feed the baby before coming to work a job. Well, she left from 11:20 am and returned at 12:15 pm. Her and the guy that was with her worked until 12:40 pm and called it a day. She charged me and I paid $570.00 ($600.00 without discount) for 12 hours at a 5% discounted rate off of the $50.00 per hour Faith had previously quoted me. She gave me the homework assignment of sorting through all of my clothes (I have a lot of clothes and shoes that were still in the garage). She was nice and the guy that she brought with her was nice as well. Needless to say, we didn't get much done in the garage at all and it was definitely not going to be ready for Father's Day. I had asked her the week before if she thought we could work a few days and be ready for Father's Day and she told me yes. That was the entire reason I hired her to begin with. The next week she told me she was only available that one day from 10 am-2 pm and only actually worked for one and a half hours. She said she would charge me for two hours because she was going to drop a couple of boxes off at Goodwill for me. Well, I could have done that myself. I was left with a mess of a garage and 10-12 garbage bags full of stuff I had to haul and throw away. I was a little upset and disappointed, but still willing to go forward and try to work with her because I had purchased all those prepaid hours. The final slap in the face came the day after when she sent me a long text telling me she didn't realize my garage was so "dirty" and I had so many clothes. She said she cannot work with me until I clean all my cloths and get my "hoarding" situation together. She also said that she would normally charge $100.00 a hour normally in my situation, but because she quoted me $50.00 she will only charge me $75.00. She said she can refund me the remainder of the hours that I prepaid her also. Well, first of all, the clothes in my garage we all clean and washed before we moved. They may have a garage smell because it is true they have been sitting in there for over a year. Secondly, of course it looks like a "hoarding" situation because I never unpacked anything and everything is still in the garage right now. That's the reason I wanted a "professional organizer" to help me sort through it. I was highly offended that she implied my garage was dirty, cluttered yes; but not dirty. I also find it very unprofessional for her to change her price after we started. If she felt that my garage should cost $100.00 a hour then she should have quoted me that price upfront. It is not my fault that she didn't fully assess the situation and charge what she later said the job should cost. As a consumer I should not be held liable for her mistake or lack of paying full attention to the situation. So not I am stuck paying $75.00 for something I was told would cost $50.00 a hour for. Also, my 13 year old son and myself helped do most of the work. Needless to say, I am highly upset and disappointed and will "NEVER" work with her again. I am hesitant to seek the help of another professional organizer now because of the negative experience that I have had working with her. She could have told me how she felt or what she thought about the situation at any time. I was nice, respectful, and approachable the entire time. I do not feel that Faith from Completely Organized acted in a very professional or respectful manner towards me.

Fri, 22 Aug 2014 15:37:19 +0000 Hello, I look you up on Angie’s List. Are you willing to travel to Stillwater, OK? My parents are 80 and 83 and trying to unbox their lifetime home of 40 years and 218 days! Thank you. Fri 8/22/2014 7:22 PM I arrived in Stillwater to a man who looks like my dad but walks like a zombie. Well it nevers hurts to ask. You available this weekend even for a consult? I am not sure of their availability next week; but to give them a plan and let them feel relief. It seems my mom is border line 'hoarder' as dad found 8 cans of pledge....hummmm......also seems she likes coasters, salt and pepper shakers and seasonal plates and napkins! This December they will have been married 58 years!!! Tue 9/2/2014 6:55 AM Yes they know u r coming. My mom may be challenging✌️ Tue 9/16/2014 3:19 PM Hi Faith, it took me awhile to drag it out of my parents but they finally let me know how they felt about your services and I wanted to let you know how I felt. My dad understood that you were going to charge him one way driving time but you charged two hours and at your full rate of $75. I have never heard of a service provider charging a full hourly rate for driving. Even more perplexing you were willing to drive up there and give them an estimate for $75 and credit that amount back if they used your services. Not transparent. I am certain I mentioned to you about having them buy a package of hours but this was never offered to them. They could have had 4 more hours and paid $25 less? Not transparent. My mom mentioned that you were pregnant and had lifting limitations; I certainly think this should have been mentioned OR you should have charged a lesser rate but instead you charged the ‘having more stuff to organize than most homes’ rate. Do you work faster and harder while working at a ‘having more stuff to organize than most homes’ house? I have lifting concerns for my parents which was why I went looking for help. Disappointing and I sincerely believe you took advantage of the situation. Mon 9/22/2014 11:22 AM You advertise that you are ‘Professional’. I was in Stillwater Saturday and Sunday and I saw no visible progress; just more piles. Which 3 rooms did you think you finished??!? The bookshelves you arranged were pathetic and not indicative of their lives (Danielle Steele paperback novels and basket full of marbles?!?). I asked them to rate your service and they gave you a D. My parents are well respected individuals with a deep sense of community; for them to rate your service as a D speaks volumes. To rectify this situation they should pay for your gas, not drive time, and maybe an hour of ‘organizing’ time.
Description of Work: I arranged to have Completely Organized, LLC go to Stillwater, Ok to assist my parents with their recent move. We were charged for 6 hours at $75 an hour. For $450 we received only 4 hours of organizing and paid for 2 hours of drive time. During the 4 hours, Completely Organized, LLC opened boxes and placed the contents in piles. They made a feeble attempt to decorate the living room bookshelves. I say feeble as items placed on the bookshelves were a basket full of marbles, worn out Danielle Steele novels, my brothers' high school yearbooks, a plastic toy butterfly and 3 containers of hand cream - now these were in decorative containers but still! Nothing indicative of my parents 58 years together. They claimed to have finished 3 rooms and "felt great about what we accomplished". When questioned about what they had accomplished, they claimed they were unable to accomplish any organizing because there was too much stuff. They stated "We prefer to work with clients who are willing to purge so we can both meet half way." and yet they charged their $75 rate for "those who are on the border of being hoarders or hoarders". On September 22, 2014 I asked them to rectify the situation and give them a refund for drive time and organizing hours and I received no response. If you are selling a house through McGraw be warned if they recommend you hire a "professional organizer"; Completely Organized is associated with McGraw. Below are portions of emails I sent to Completely Organized LLC.

Even though she was busy on another job, Charity cleared her weekend to come assist me in my never-ending quest to prepare for a major downsizing. Before listing, I had needed a new furnace, which required replacing the under-the-slab ductwork in my two-story house with new overhead soffits, drywall chases and vents where non had previously existed. The HVAC company quickly did their work but it required extensive interior remodeling. The reservist/contractor was called up to deployment in between the demolition and the repair processes, leaving holes in walls and ceilings, unfinished drywall and closet restructuring on the inside of the house. Left in Limbo for two weeks, I finally was recommended to the services of a paint and drywall contractor who was the WORST, slowest, sloppiest, most dishonest, unreliable and expensive slimeball in the metro area. Unable to cook, do laundry, use my bathroom, access my garage or sleep in my own bed, while still trying to pare down and organize for sale, I couldn't find anything and needed the advice and assistance of a pro. That's Charity. She even ran interference with members of the work crew when I hit a wall with them. She sorts, cleans, assists in decisions about what to discard and what to keep. She has resources for assistance agencies and makes suggestions that would never occur to me. She's quick, communicates in a clear and non-judgmental manner and I'd have her back in a heartbeat. (Whoosh-glub, whoosh-glub.)

I have used Faith several times. The first time was when I first moved into a new house. She responded immediately and made time for me that very week. I had a garage full of boxes, she went right to work on them and had my kitchen organized in no time. We went onto other rooms in the house, she was amazing, within no time my new house was feeling like home. She is very professional as well as personable.

It went great. She answered my phone calls promptly. She arrived right on time and left enough time to finish the task. I'm so excited to sit in the room and not feel overwhelmed.
Description of Work: I'm not a hoarder, but you couldn't tell that from our home office. With grace and energy, Faith helped me attack this overwhelming mess. In 2.5 hours, we had the files in order, the shelves organized the drawers spotless. It was like magic. She was so patient and encouraging. I couldn't have been happier. I'm having her help me tackle a less ominous room in two weeks!
