Burnett Windows & Siding

We used Burnett Home Improvement to convert a jacuzzi tub to a luxury walk-in shower. The sales representative, David Stackable, was very polite and knowledgeable. His presentation showed us the high quality of the products to be installed. The work crew were professional and prompt. All concerns were met immediately and the workers were cordial. The finished product of tub to luxury walk-in shower is beautiful!

First, let me state that I believe Burnett to be a good company. When the right crews are doing the work, I believe their finished product to be satisfying to the customer. I do not like writing a review that is unsatisfactory and I am normally very easy to please as a customer. I was apprehensive in who to choose for installing siding on my home. I gave it a lot of thought and decided to go with Burnett due to positive reviews. I knew I was going to be spending more money to go with Burnett but it was important for me to have the assurance of quality work performed. On the third day of the installation, I found out on my own investigating that the installers put in my vented soffit over my existing wood without opening up any holes to vent to the attic. When I asked the installer what they do to vent the air, he told me “we cut out holes in the wood.” I then asked him why he didn't do that on my home. He said nothing. At this point, I contacted the sales manager I had been working with. I told him that I had issues with the siding installation. He was unfortunately ill so he could not assist. However, he did say he would refer this matter to another employee. I waited over 24 hours and received no contact from Burnett. Meanwhile, the questionable installation was still being performed. I then contacted Burnett again and finally received correspondence back. I was told they would remove the first crew and bring in a second. The sales manager apologized for being out of work and mentioned that he would have been on site several times to check their work and speak with me. The second crew was like night and day. They were very professional, quick in their work all the meanwhile maintaining quality. They took off the fascia of other parts of the house and vented the attic in which the first crew did not do. After they were finished, the gutter install was scheduled. This third crew was fantastic and friendly and did a great job. My main issue outside of the first crew, was a communication deficit on the part of Burnett. Although I understood that the sales manager was ill for a while, I never received another phone call from the sales manager ever again. The last time we spoke, was when he told me he was getting another crew to my home. He could have called me while the second crew was on site and asked if the install was any better. I had to make all the efforts to have any semblance of communication. The only contact I had was with the on site crews. Clean-up issues were really never my concern as I realize you will find pieces from the installation scattered around your home no matter what the effort. However, I had to spend about 3 hours picking up large pieces of old guttering, large cardboard boxes, many cigarette butts and a large amount of fragmented aluminum trim. I shouldn't have had to make such an effort to get communication from Burnett to address installation concerns. I also did not see any managers stop by during the installation process. Hopefully, my install was not what is typical from Burnett and I would say that if anyone goes with them, the odds are good you will be satisfied with hiring them, just as long as they solve their communication problems during the installation as well as after. I had planned on them coming out to do some exterior doors, but after this job I will not go with them again.

They did a great job. They always cleaned up after themselves. They came out when we had questions and were good at following-up.

Burnett Windows and Siding does not do the kind of work we were needing.

It went fine. I was told it would take one day but it took two days. The color match was perfect and looks great. The higher price for the leaf proof guttering was well worth it. I doubt that it can be beat at any price. I won't be on a ladder cleaning gutters anymore.

From beginning to end they were professionals. The salesman knew his products. He showed us options from lower cost to higher cost products. Gave us the specifics of each and what we could expect. On installation day, they were prompt and had the installation completed in a timely manner. Experienced with the products and installation. We are pleased.

We have had Burnett Windows & Siding replace all 22 of our windows, our siding with LP Smartside Diamond Kote Siding and our gutters with K-Guard Seamless guttering. I always get a least 3 quotes and bombard the company's with all my questions and concerns before picking anyone. We plan on being in this house until they roll us to the nursing home or to the morgue, which ever comes first. So I wanted a warranty that would let me sleep at night. Burnett will let you get any of the work that you want done in phases to fit your budget. They don't try to strong arm you into doing it all at once. After getting the new windows and siding we don't really hear the strange noises from the airport or the train tracks in the middle of the night. We LOVE all the improvements that Burnett made for us. If you ever have a problem or question during or after the install, they are only a phone call away. The only one in the family that doesn't care for the new windows is our old cat. She sits in the window to bake in the sun, but no longer can feel the extra heat, so she is puzzled by where Mister Sunshine went.

They were nice as they could be. They told me how much it was going to be and I was mortified and embarrassed that I didn't know how much it was. I was like, "Okay. Sorry, I can't do that for a couple of years." They were very nice the whole time. They were very responsive. The only reason I went to them was because they were rated so highly.

We were very pleased! They were very easy to work with, very pleasant. As a matter of fact, I still see the first guy I had contact with and he still says hi to me when he sees me. They had the siding on in two days and did the windows about a month alter. It only took them one day to put the windows in. One of the windows was shipped incorrectly and they made everything right, they were wonderful! They double checked every single question we had. They are GREAT! The manager, Pat, is a pleasure. He came out on the last night to inspect the work. No complaints about them. They were honest about their pricing and that we could find someone cheaper but that they do the best work, they were right. The workers were so much fun. I would use them again in a heart beat!

Everything was first class. From the initial visit to completion of installation. Mr. Stackable visited several weeks ago and talked to us about the windows we wanted replaced. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us a quote and acknowledged that it could be as much as 6 weeks until installation due to their busy schedule. Today's installation was about 4 weeks from then instead of 6. We were very pleased! About a week after Mr. Stackable's visit they had their guy come over and do a measurement. Everyone we talked to, either on the phone or in person, was professional and pleasant. Today the installers arrived when promised and set to work immediately. They did a great job and the clean up was great also. We definitely plan to use this company for more window replacement in the future.

They did a fabulous job. The prices were very reasonable. They cleaned up the worksite; they left everything neat. The windows are very easy to clean; I love them. The crew even came early to start work. They were able to complete the job in about half a day. We were really impressed with their professionalism; I can't say enough good things about them. They even called back a few months later to make sure we were still happy with the windows.

Installation by Louie and his crew was excellent. Very professional, and punctual and answered all questions. They were very careful of property and cleaned up very well. Customer service by Burnett is very good and courteous.

After receiving proposals from Burnett and others, we elected to go with Burnett knowing they would be at the higher end of pricing. Considering recent Angie's List reviews, we expected a smooth project. The contract was entered into October 28, 2014. The contract indicated the installation would begin in the December19, 2014-January 2, 2015 range. It was estimated it would take 4 installers 4 days to complete. Final measurements where taken November 4, 2014. We expected to be contacted 2 weeks in advance of the estimated install date to firm schedule for the installation. We didn't hear from Burnett so we reached out to them via email December10, 2014. They indicated the installation was already scheduled for December 15 - 19, 2014. To avoid conflicts with Christmas activities we elected to schedule installation during the January 5 - January 8, 2015 period. 4 installers showed up on time the morning of January 5, 2015 and began replacing windows. 12 of the existing windows were in pairs, a picture window on top and a casement window below. When installing the first pair of replacement windows it appeared to us something wasn't measured correctly. It was determined the top picture windows were not measured correctly and would have to be reordered. Installation of the 12 windows was stopped until replacements could be obtained. We expected a "rush" on the reorder and expected to be kept informed of status. We were not kept in the loop. During the intervening time I attempted to obtain a price to cap the door frames in aluminum. It took a couple of emails and calls to finely hear they would cap the door trims at no cost when they installed the remaining 12 windows. We were notified that the remaining installation work would be performed February 5 -6, 2015 (one month from the original installation date!). Things were going well until getting to the last 4 windows in the paneled library. The interior of the windows for the library were supposed to be finished in stainable everwood so they could be stained to match the rest of the library paneling. One of the window's interior was finished in non-stainable white, requiring that it be reordered! This calls into question whether Burnett has any quality control at all. This window had been in Burnett's possession since approximately mid-December 2014. It must never have been checked against the job order. At the end of February 5, I was handed an invoice for the job balance which stated "Due on Receipt". The contract indicated the balance was due upon completion and clearly the job has not been completed. In addition, the invoice was overstated by $3,5000!! Mid-Febuary Burnett brought out and installed the reordered library window. To us, communication with Burnett management regarding the above items very lacking.

Burnett has done outstanding work for us on several occasions, most recently installing new windows and a sliding glass door. Every facet of the job was excellent, from the initial contact with their sales consultant, David Stackable, to the completion of the project. We could not be more pleased. Their office staff is very courteous and kept us well informed; their team of installers is friendly, courteous, prompt, efficient and neat. The door and windows are very high quality products. We would not hesitate to have them do any work for us in the future.

The installer, Chuck and Chris, were excellent and perfectionists. Chuck discovered 2 imperfections in one window even before it was completely installed and immediately started the process of ordering replacement parts. Working with our salesman Berl and the people in the office was very good. Definitely a professional business which cares very much about good customer service. We are seriously considering using Burnett for stage 2 of our home upgrade.

Burnett windows process from initial sale through completion was done with integrity, excellence, attention to detail, and utmost care to make this a good experience for us.

David Stackable and Burnett's did a great job. David was very helpful in helping us select the windows. No high pressure at all. We installed Infinity windows. These are excellent windows and incredibly energy efficient. There were a few minor issues that needed to be addressed after the initial installation, as well as some unexpected complications with installing/sizing the shutters. The Burnett Window staff. We're extremely helpful and responsive and addressed our concerns promptly and effectively. I'd give Burnett's my highest recommendation.
