I was very pleased with the job. The vendor did the work the day I called. He was very polite. Clean up was perfect and he was careful to not damage the yard.

We had a really good experience with Mr. Broadland. He returned my call in a timely manner and showed up for the project on time. When I initially spoke with him via phone, he gave me a very reasonable price quote based on my description of the job. When I had to call him back to let him know I underestimated the length of the row of shrubs I needed removed, he came by the house to take a look at things. A few of the individual shrubs (not part of the big row) that I wanted removed, he showed me right then and there that they could easily be pulled out by hand and reduced his price accordingly. We had an estimate the week before by a certified arborist who quoted us more than double what Mr. Broadland's final charge was. He arrived on time for the job, and it took about 1.5 hours to remove the shrubs and trees. When he was finished, the area where he worked was tidied, and the ground was ready to be re-planted. Very satisfied with his work and the price and would be happy to use him again.

Hurray for Dick Broadland! I contacted four different companies on this project. One never responded; one called 3 days too late; and I'm still waiting for another company to and quot;call me back in 10 minutesand quot; as promised...9 days ago. But Dick Broadland was the exception. I called the number listed for Broadland and left a voice mail message. About an hour later, I received a call back. The amazing thing is that Mr Broadland was promptly returning my call despite the fact that he was on vacation over 800 miles away. We discussed my stump removal project; he gave me an estimate; and we scheduled the day/time he'd do the job. He called again the day before the work was to be done to confirm the time. He showed up at exactly the time we agreed on, promptly went to work, and did a magnificent job removing a stump/roots in an established flower bed with some tricky space issues to work around. He went and quot;above and beyondand quot; the scope of his task and dug the hole for a replacement tree. He thoroughly cleaned up the work area, replanted four plants that had to be temporarily removed to allow him to get his stump-grinder into position; and stowed his equipment. His positive attitude and friendliness were added bonuses. The final bill was exactly per his quote, although I'm sure the logistics of this project probably were more difficult than he anticipated. I'd use this company again--and recommend them highly to friends and neighbors.
