+ 4 moreBone Dry had the best price of the 3 bids we obtained, and seemed to have all the details covered. They are an authorized Hardie installer so there is better peace of mind that the manufacturer won't deny a warranty due to incorrect installation. Quoting process was quick, Dave Carpenter came and thoroughly measured and prepared a written quote from his truck in the driveway. All questions were answered quickly and factually, no "spin". Our schedule was flexible, we did have a slight weather delay, but the job was started within 3 weeks signing the contract. The whole job was done in a little over 2 weeks. The siding crew did a good job, all the joints are tight and the boards and trim good and straight. They were pretty meticulous about doing the job correctly. The siding crew could have improved in 2 areas: 1. Better clean up at the end of the day. They often left tools and material laying around at the end of the day. I was really surprised they would leave their tools. 2. Better communication with us about work schedule. Sometimes they would leave early or come late and we wouldn't know when to expect them. The painting crew (different guys than the siding crew) also did a really good job. For the most part, they kept all the shrubs from getting any paint on them, and there was no paint on any window. Coverage is even and there are no drips or sags anywhere. Painters did a good job of cleaning up every day. Once the work was complete Dave Carpenter did a final walk through with us, and addressed a couple minor concerns we had on the spot.
Description of Work: Completely replaced all old siding, including adding insulation, sheathing, and house wrap to exterior walls. Then painted whole house and detached garage. New siding is Hardie cement board. Also added and connected a roof vent for the bathroom exhaust fans.

ORIGINAL REVIEW 6/3/14: Due to the severe storms we had experienced the past few weeks, some of the roof shingles were damaged right at one of our roof vents which caused a leak into our attic and down into our ceiling. Thankfully upon inspection of the attic while it was still raining we were able to pinpoint the leak and place a pot to avoid anymore damage to our ceiling, but we knew something had to be wrong up on our roof at that area and needed it fixed right away to avoid more damage with possible more storms headed our way. We were contacted quickly by David at Bone Dry Roofing the same day of purchasing the roof maintenance package and told he would be out first thing the next morning. And he did! And quickly found the damaged shingles by the roof vent that were allowing the water to leak in through the roof vent and got us fixed up with a rain shield that would prevent that from happening again. Really very impressed with the quick turn around and the service Bone Dry Roofing provided us! Will definitely add them to my list as the roofing company to use when the time comes to replace our roof.
Description of Work: UPDATED REVIEW 6/27/14: During recent rainstorm this week we discovered water was still dripping from roof vent where shingles were replaced. Thankfully we had kept the bucket up in the attic since we had not had the time to repair the ceiling damage from the previous storms or we would have had more damage to ceiling plasterboard. My husband contacted the provider to request his services to come out and fix the continued leak from roof vent (we were not expecting free services, planned on reimbursing him for his time and replacement of the roof vent if it was needed) and we were told he was busy on other jobs but would be out Thursday (6/26) in the late afternoon. Provider never showed up or called to let us know he couldn't make it and so far today (Friday) we have not heard from him. We had hoped to find a provider that we could rely on for future repairs or roof replacement, one to put on our home repair call list for the roof to give our business to, but now we have been left with a feeling this is not a provider we can rely on. A simple call to let us know he couldn't make it last night would have made a world of difference in our experience, because that now causes me to doubt the quality of the work done when he came out before. We were willing to pay him to come out again and not expecting any sort of redo for free, we were not questioning the work performed before as we knew the package only covered 4 roof vents and we have more than 4 on our roof. We were willing to give him our business for a second time but I guess it was not wanted, and the lack of response (not the work performed) changes our original "A" review. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 6/3/14 Replaced roof shingles that were damaged by storms at one of our roof vents which was causing water to leak into our attic and down into our ceiling.

Description of Work: I had some holes in part of the siding from a storm last summer. I had put off getting it fixed for several reasons, but when it started peeling away from the house, I decided to do something about it. + 0 moreHe was prompt and quick coming out to give us a bid on a Saturday. In going to look at the loose shingles he found the other problems. He took pictures to show us on the ground. He submitted a bid for us to consider and even offered to temporarily fix the shingles. After getting several other bids we chose Bone Dry and made arrangements for them to do the work. There was no mess left anywhere. Also had him take a look at a problem we have regarding our gutters on the back of house. He suggested a fix.

+ 1 moreDave and the crew showed up when he said they would. They worked diligently, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., and go the job done in one day. They hammered by hand, not by nailgun. They were careful of my landscaping, and cleaned up very well, removing all of the roofing nails (unless I've missed some). I am very pleased with their work and work ethic. I have recommended them to two family members, without reservation.
Description of Work: Dave Carpenter came to my home, checked the crawl space for possible decking problems, checked the roof top for damage due to old roof and wind damage. Dave gave me information concerning his company, their warranty, the options in shingles, the types of venting, etc., and was quick to give me an estimate.

+ 1 moreDavid with Bone Dry repaired my roof around my chimney which was leaking water down the chimney onto my living room floor. He replaced the flashing, put new shingles and painted around the base of my chimney on my roof. He was very prompt and professional. He also caulked around a window that I told him was also leaking without charging me extra and knocked down a huge wasp nest that was left over from last year. Since it hasn't rained I don't know if this repair has fixed my leak so I will report back after a good hard rain to see if my leaks are gone!!

+ -1 moreI discovered roof damage this morning early, after a night-long wind storm. I was trying to find a reputable roofing contractor, and found Bone Dry Roofing on Angie's List. I called them mid-morning, and they had an opening for Dave Carpenter to come out and inspect at 1:00 p.m. Within a short time, Dave had a very reasonable estimate ready, and stated he had the materials available to go ahead and complete the repairs. Dave completed the repairs within 30 minutes. No mess and very professional. Dave even took the time to show me why the shingles failed, and things to look for in the future. He also recommended appropriate replacements when the need arises. One thing I know for sure; I won't have to search for a roofing contractor. I've found my "go-to" guy. Dave Carpenter and Bone Dry Roofing. 'Nuff said...

David was on-time, and gave me a cost estimate, and let me know they could get to my repair quickly if I decided to use Bone Dry. I'm glad I went with Bone Dry Roofing. They were punctual, accurate in their price estimate, and did a great job. They also got to my repair very quickly. I would use them again, and have been letting others know about them.

The estimate was dead on with the invoice provided at the completion of the job. He was very professional. Dave came out and estimated the cost for replacement of my roof. His estimate was the lowest out of all of the companies I had come out. He was very friendly and down to earth. He explained his process and after accepting his offer he delivered samples for me to choose from. Not even a week after choosing my shingle type and color, him and his crew were able to come out get everything removed and replaced. He kept me up to date on the progress on the job and was finished within two days. One don't I would recommend in requesting an estimate from a roofing company is not to tell them your insurance is involved. One company I came across took it upon themselves to call my insurance company to discuss how much I had received and determined their estimate based on what the insurance company gave me. There are times where this can be very helpful, but in my case I knew my roof could be replaced at a lower cost. Bone Dry Roofing did not inquire about insurance. Which is why I believe their estimate was very fair. Overall, Bone Dry Roofing is a great company to work with. I would recommend them to all of my neighbors or friends that need roof repair or replacement.

No missing shingles., however there were many staples popping up from contraction and expansion over there years. David located and took a picture of what was causing the leak - A worn seal on a vent pipe. David fixed the leak and tamped down the loose staples. He also gave me a proposal to repair to some damaged facia. I'm very happy with my experience with David and Bone Dry, and will definitely call them when my roof needs replacing.
Description of Work: The asphalt roof on my home is 16 years old and I had a leak in the upstairs bathroom ceiling. What's a recently widowed woman to do?! I am a new Angie's List member and was excited to see a coupon from Bone Dry Roofing for 199.00 for inspection and routine maintenance. David called within an hour of my online purchase to schedule the inspection. He was very personable and professional and totally accommodating to my schedule. After calling several siding repair companies that stated they 'didn't do that kind of work,' I called Bone Dry and was pleasantly surprised when they said they would come out the next day to take a look a the job and give me an estimate. This was on a Friday, and they were on the job Monday morning, completed the repairs properly and quickly. They knew exactly how to do their job, and were very professional. Would certainly call them again if I needed their service, I was very pleased!

I found Bone Dry Roofing on Angies List and they scheduled an appointment to provide an estimate the next day. They were on time and their price was very reasonable. While there, they also said they could fix an area on the back of our house that had missing siding. They broke the two estimates out and we decided to have them do both. After several days of rain, Bone Dry Roofing was back out at our place and quickly fixed the two items. While there, they also noticed that when we had an electrician out to fix the pole on our house that had bent in half during the storm, the shingles surrounding the new pole were in a way that water could go underneath them. For $50 more, they fixed that as well. The work was done well and efficiently. We would definitely use them again.

The day after approving the work, the roofers were making the suggested repairs. After they left, you never would have known they had to completely replace a large valley to the right of my front door entry. Very clean and professional group. (THANKS GUYS!) Bone Dry Roofing was very good and in the next 3-5 years when I need to replace the roof, I will be calling them for sure!
