They did a good job. They were friendly, professional and informative as well as punctual.

We decided to go with wood floors instead, but had we gone with carpet, we would have definitely chosen Bert Henry. Bert was very prompt, professional and friendly. He brought sample to the house, left them for a few days while we thought it over, and picked them up.

We were pleased with results. We are also having more tile and carpet work done by him. There were a couple of tiles that sounded hollow and they came out promptly and replaced them. Bert is a pleasure to work with.

From our first meeting with Bert to the installation by Joe to the cleanup after the job was finished, the experience was wonderful. Not only were they professional, as well as friendly, they worked until 9:30 at night, knowing our movers were arriving with our furniture the next morning. We have never before had such a positive experience from beginning to end.

He kept constant communication with me. Due to snow storms it took awhile for him to get here to do the work. He was awesome.

What a pleasure doing business with Bert Henry! He was professional and fair, prompt, courteous, and an all-around nice guy. He came to the house one evening and took the measurements, then provided an estimate the next day. As soon as we were ready to move forward, he got the installation scheduled the following week. The installers he used have been working for him for many years and they did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves and left the house in great shape. They moved all the furniture, other than the antique china cabinet, which we moved ourselves, and put it all back in place before they left. I will always use Bert Henry in the future for all our carpet and tile needs. Compared to the other places we checked, he was only slightly more expensive. But, he sells only mid-range and higher grade carpet and it was such a relief not to get the high pressure sales pitch! There were also no surprises or hidden costs. It really was a great experience.

The installer did a great job. Very pleased with the color, style, and quality of the carpet. Would have preferred a much thicker foam pad to be used, but what he used is okay, just not preferred. The company was quick to respond, very fair with pricing, and we will definitely use them again.

After the measurements of the house were taken and we explained what we wanted done, we met at the showroom and Bert had a selection of tiles laid out for us. He had listened to us carefully and knew exactly what we would like and not like. Scheduling was very easy and the workmen showed up exactly when they were scheduled. They focused on doing a quality job. We were very pleased with the overall experience and would definitely recommend them.

My husband and I hadn't purchased carpeting in 15, maybe 20, years. The selection was narrowed when we told our needs and our likes and dislikes. We decided to purchased from Bert Henry when he explained his pricing. So much per square yard included the carpet and pad, installation which included moving heavy furniture, tearing up the old carpet, laying the new and cleaning up. When Mr. H. was at the home measuring, I asked about tiling a bathroom in addition to the carpeting. Mr. H. knew the tile and grout to match my other bathroom so there was need for me to go through tile samples. The installers for the tile and carpet were professional and competent. When we need carpet again, we'll return to Bert Henry.

Very professional from the floor room visit to the installation. Made my decision on a Thursday, carpet installed the next week. I will use them again in the future.

We love them. They put flooring several years ago in our house. They also did tile work and they did a fabulous job. They were very professional. They were really a great company. We have three little dogs and the wood has not shown any wear and tear, no paws or nails marks; it has been a really good product. They were reliable and showed up when they were scheduled. They cleaned up themselves and did not leave any dirt or anything behind that we had to clean up. We had really professional installation.

They came very quickly after initial call to perform the estimate. We asked them to match the carpet that was already in the room (we wanted the same carpet because they old carpet just had pet stains). The brought multiple (10+) samples and did due diligence to find the appropriate match. They scheduled the work for a convenient time that was relatively close to the estimate time (didn't have to wait ages for the work to be done). When they arrived, they were courteous, professional, and very quick. They had the old carpet out and new carpet laid in and installed in about 30-40 minutes. I have had experience with other installers from previous places I have lived and this was the first time that THEY made sure to vacuum all the loose pile twill that was created during installation. That was a nice touch. My only complaint was that they did not quite match the pad thickness that we had before. Due to the pet stain we needed to replace the pad as well and they pad they used is about a 1/4" thinner than the old one. Not a huge complaint, and it was something that was not discussed prior, so the fault likely lies with both myself and the installer. No worries. Great overall experience, I would definitely use them again for carpet needs.

From the first contact with Jennifer in the showroom of Bert Henry Carpeting and Tile to the last contact with her when I paid the final installment went extremely well. Jennifer was a great help to me as I considered several brands, styles and colors of carpet. She was helpful and made useful suggestions but never pressured me as I made multiple visits to the showroom during my decision process. As I was considering my choices, Mr. Henry visited my home and made a detailed plan for fitting, cutting and installing my new carpet. He was careful to plan well so that there was very little waste and therefore, little extra cost to me. Mr. Henry's installers have worked with him for many years and the trust relationship between them and Mr. Henry was apparent. They are used to working with him and vice versa, therefore the installation went smoothly and the installers seemed very knowledgeable about Mr. Henry's methods, their responsibilities and how to do the work. I felt very comfortable with them and with Mr. Henry and his assistant Jennifer to the point that I did not hesitate to call to schedule to have the stairway carpet adjusted. Jennifer and Mr. Henry welcomed my call and suggested we wait for the stair carpet to settle in to the atmosphere in my home before the final visit to stretch it. I did so and when I called to set the appointment for the installers to return, Jennifer immediately set the appointment, the installers returned on that date and they re-stretched the carpet to my satisfaction. I must note that the need for the additional visit by the installers and the re-stretch was not entirely their fault. My general contractor was working on a tight schedule and the final day of carpet stretching was also the day the duct cleaning had to be done as well as the disaster recovery company final cleaning and starting to move my furniture back into the house. A later visit was definitely in order.

We called for directions and we still have never heard back. I couldn't get any kind of response and even after using map quest to find their store, there was nothing there with their name on it.

I didn't get work done yet, but as soon as I do, they will be the only ones in town I will use.

The entire process was a painless as it could have possibly been. Bert has been in business for many years and so far as I am aware, has an excellent reputation. He is friendly but professional. We had been through 3 dealers getting estimates and felt we hadn't yet found one whose sales presence seemed fair and friendly to us. Bert was the fourth and last place we looked. He understood and complied with our wish to be shown sort of upper middle price range carpet. We are on social security and certainly did not want the highest price carpet, but we did want a very nice carpet. Bert did not push us to go higher. We selected one style for the living / dining area and another for the bedrooms/hallway. Initially, we were going to put engineered wood in the living / dining rooms. The salesperson at R&R Carpet, who we were thinking strongly about going with, low-balled us on some wood then "couldn't find" a nicer line that had more cosmetic options. His wood seemed to go from low dollar to extremely high dollar with nothing in the middle. After a some research and checking around, I found that Bert Henry had some of the same brand, same line as we found at R&R wood but in a doable price range--about 20-25 percent cheaper -- . By then, we had decided that engineered wood was overpriced and probably not suitable for us anyway. When we realized that we could get a whole house of nice carpet for about as much as 1 or 2 rooms of faux wood, we decided to go with all carpet. Although the carpet need to be ordered, the schudule for installation was timely. About a week. The installers, Ray and Mike, were prompt, seemed thorough and certainly seemed conscientous. I have had big carpet jobs before and I expected some "not quite right" places, but can find none. They both acted as if they were proud of their workmanship, which I found to be a delightful change. Bert has downsized, in light of the economy, and is now a solo operation, except for his secretarial assistant, Jennifer, who was also quite knowledgable and cordial. If we asked a question she didn't have the answer for, she got it quickly and got back with us rapidly. Although the carpet has just been in a few days, I believe that if any problems should occur in the future that the man behind the company, Bert Henry, will stand behind his sale to us. Both of us are pleased with the look and feel of the carpet, and maybe more importantly, we feel we were treated honestly, fairly and with respect. We believe that as far as we know, everybody won. Bert made money, Mike and Ray were paid their due and the two of us got as good a deal as we could make. Realistically, I know that we could most likely spent a little less by shopping the big box stores or big discount houses, but my experience has taught me that installation and support staff in a private operation can be pretty high quality. We are very happy with our choice and we would certainly recommend this company to all my friends.

THEY WERE VERY DETAILED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY MADE SURE THE LINES IN THE TILE MATCHED UP AND WERE PERFECTLY STRAIGHT. THEY PAID CLOSE ATTENTION TO CORNERS AND MADE IT ALL LOOK VERY GOOD. I AM QUITE PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK.
