Thomas Winner was professional, responsible, courteous, thorough, and, despite several unavoidable setbacks, did a very good job. When we called him back (after the job was completed and after he was paid) with additional questions regarding water leaks that appeared in the firebox (which may or may not have been caused or be a part of the work for which we contracted his services), Mr. Winner responded immediately and made arrangements to come back to evaluate the situation and determine next steps.

After having our chimney cleaned by other contractors each one proceeded to sell us on services from deglazing, re-sleeving, or just minor patching. Each contractor had a different recommendation. When Tom Winner from Ace Chimney Service came out he was on time, explained what he discovered, ran a camera down the chimney to show us the problem and listed out our options and timeframe of completion. Proof of liability insurance was provided within 24 hrs of request. Once we decided what was done they came out, and again, showed up on time and ready to do the work. They spent time to prevent dust from getting into our house and did an excellent job keeping the work area inside and out clean. The work was done in the time frame they promised and did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. No hidden surprises or extra costs. Of the two dozen or so contractors that have ever worked on our house less than 5 qualify as truly professional. My wife and I would easily place ACE Chimney Service in that minority.
