I had drywall damage due to a roof leak in my daughters room, drywall damage in my garage from bad drivers, and a hole in the garage ceiling due to someone stepping off the decking above the garage. So basically four holes in my drywall in three different locations of my house, some had been there for years, however it was time to repair them, as we���re in the process of selling the house. Google searched for drywall repair in our area, up popped A1 painting & drywall and HomeAdvisor. Knowing little about these types of repairs, I opted for the HomeAdvisor route, I must say I was skeptical at best. About an hour after filling out a HomeAdvisor project sheet online, I received a call out of Colorado, some young chap who sounded all hipped up on Monster drinks and was going to solve all my drywall problems at a fair price and great quality.. I���m like you���re going to recommend and drywall person for me in Oklahoma and you���re in Colorado, really!!! I rolled with it, gave him my info, said someone would call within the hour, again really.. Well sure enough, as the young chap from Colorado stated, I received a call within the hour, from ���A1 Hundred Painting and Drywall���.. Spoke to Andy for a few minutes, I explained my situation, informed me he would be over to give me an estimate in a couple of hours, he was finishing up a job. Andy showed up and gave me an estimate that blew me away, much cheaper than I expected based on google, was very honest with me, very professional. He showed up the next morning as agreed, on time and ready to work.. He repaired all my drywall in all three rooms, was gone in five hours or less, place was clean, looked like new. He also guaranteed his work, gave me his business card in case we had any issues with his repairs, has called to check that everything looks good after it dried.

Initially, I messed up the start date because I ordered the wrong sheetrock. Once I corrected that, it was supposed to take a week, start to finish. It was more like 3 weeks. Not only did it take forever, the crew didn't show up several times when they were supposed to. I would call Andy to find out what happened and he wouldn't know. I believe the real issue is that Andy hired out the work to sub-contractors and really didn't even know the crew he hired. He only came to the job site once as far as I know. The day he came out, he cleaned his mud equipment on my living room floor and left piles of that and puddles of water in my living room. I was livid. When I called him to talk to him about it, he admitted that he made the mess, apologized...then asked if I could clean it up since he was too far away and his daughters birthday was the next day. When the job was finally done, it looked like decent work, but there really could have been a lot more sanding done for it to look great. I told him there were some issues that needed fixed, but he never came. We painted the interior and it covered up some of it, but I really wasn't happy with the job. He apologized again and offered me a decent deal on coating my garage floor to make up for the mess, but really... that won't make up for the fact that my drywall looks really rough. I expected better, based on the reviews I read here before hiring him. He was very friendly, and I think HIS work is probably very good quality. However, he didn't do the work. He hired it out to people who really didn't seem to care and didn't make sure it was done correctly. I wish he would have done it himself. It's not the end of the world by any means and I'm not losing any sleep over it.. Just expected more.

It was more expensive than I thought it would be.

Andy was a pleasure to work with, he not only did our initial request, we were so pleased we ended up extending a 2 day project into an entire week with additional work. He is the first call we will make when we need additional work.

We had our double front wooden doors redone. Andy did an excellent, on time, professional job, and was a delight to work with. He did everything he said he would plus a few extras that we had not discussed. We are looking around for other projects that we might have and will call Andy again. He has us as a customer!!

Andy was a pleasure to work with, he was on time every day and work the entire time! His work was exceptional, he stained my kitchen cabinets and my family was very pleased. I will be using him for all future paint work and I highly recommend him!

Very poor work had to hire another Drywall and painter to come and repair what Andy"s Uncle did. They did not finished the job. they left a mess overspray and painted brand new windows. Andy tried to repair his Uncles work but there was too much to do. They said they would be back to finish the job that was 2 week ago and heard nothing. We are very disappointed in the job.

Removal of wallpaper from kitchen and dinette done quickly and cleanly. Painted same area in a quick and efficient manner. Supplied paint and matched existing paint perfectly.

Don't appear desperate, Andy will take advantage of you. 1600 sqf ceiling (only ceiling) they quoted 1500 after I scraped the popcorn off myself, applied joint tape. A1 said he could not go below that amnt because he had to smoothen my ceiling before applying orange peel texture and paint. I had to move in a week so I agreed, Paid and extra 244 for painting & 100 to match my entry way wall to the rest of the house. On the contract he wrote re-texture and paint (I did not realize what it would mean) he asked for money up front and then painted over rough ceiling & said prep was not in contract
