These guys are just downright horrible. First of all, they came in 2 days after their scheduled visit without so much as a phone call before they arrived. They came to the house to inspect our furnace without even bothering to turn it on. They just looked at it and left without a word. No paperwork, nothing. After dozens of phone call regarding the situation, the secretary finally gave us the status of the work order. The technicians came in a week later to take the furnace out so they could replace it. They literally just yanked the furnace out of the closet, took their check and rudely stormed out of the house. 3 days later, our carpenter came in to check on the status of the area he's going to be working on. He came into the house and noticed the gas leak IMMEDIATELY. I had no idea what he was talking about. He looked in the closet where the furnace used to be and saw the gas line was not capped and it was left open by Colwell technicians. He called them immediately and asked for them to cap the line because we have been living there for 3 days and was slowly getting poisoned from the gas leak. Our nostrils couldn't tell the difference since we've been slowly exposed to the leak. Colwell's secretary 's reply regarding the problem was "We don't have technicians in the area, sorry". We then had to call the gas company to have someone fix the problem. Thankfully enough, these guys came in to the rescue and capped the gas line for us. When I spoke with the secretary regarding what happened, there was no sign of remorse or guilt. There was no apology at all. They acted like they didn't even care that they endangered the lives of my family. I decided to withdraw from them and go with another company. I asked them to refund me my money since I'm no longer using them for their services. I paid them the amount for taking the furnace out and that was it. It's been over a month and I still haven't received a refund of the money I paid them. They just kept on giving me promises and the run around. The secretary was rude and hateful the last time I talked to them about my refund. I'm still waiting on that check to arrive in the mail. Do yourself and your family a favor and stay away from these guys. We were very fortunate that someone caught that gas leak in time or we would have all died from that leak.
