I called a local phone number and was connected to a call center not located in Stillwater. Before agreeing to the lawn aeration service I specifically asked if I would be notified at least a day in advance of when the service would be performed so I'd be sure to have the lawn mowed before they came and was told I would be. I was pressured by two different people at the call center to prepay with a credit card, but I refused. I did agree to have the service performed after I was told I could pay after the service was performed. Two days later a technician showed up on my doorstep with no prior notice. I had not mowed because I didn't know they were coming, and it had rained an inch the night before. The technician performed the service anyway. It was so muddy the machinery created ruts in my yard and smashed the plugs back into my yard. He didn't even do the lawn on one side of my driveway which probably was a good thing. I didn't call them to come back to do the section they missed because I didn't want them doing any more damage to my lawn. I was never told that I had signed up for a continuing subscription service, but found that out when I read the back side of the bill I received in the mail. Needless to say, I called TruGreen and canceled any future service.

My wife and I paid in advance for the years services lawn and shrubs. After the service began I got a bill for 100.00. As I called the representative told me this was for the trees and shrubs. I advised My wife and I spoke with the original representative and that was included in the advance payment that was in full. he told me to disregard the billing they would get back with me. Two months later I get a call from another service rep telling me my account was on hold u8nless I paid several hundred dollars more for tree and shrub. During the conversation he admitted it was there fault for the miscommunation and tried getting me to pay several hundred dollars more to continue the service. If this was miscommunication on their part why should I half to pay for their mistake. They now are refusing to finish the service we paid in advance for.
