Quality of work was good

Pete Troy was responsive and corrected the problems I was adamant about, however, not everything became evident until after he left. The remodel took 6 weeks from start to finish. He didn't charge more than the contract price, however, the cost was double what it should have been. The electrician was the only subcontractor I was pleased with but his work on the project was minor. The tile installation was way too expensive, $1,100 for 40 sq ft (labor only), and the tile subcontractor left 50 lbs of wet grout in my neighbor's yard. The drywall contractor sanded without telling me so I had drywall dust coming out of my HVAC vents all over my house for weeks. The plumber replaced the internal parts of the existing toilet and the toilet hasn't flushed correctly since. The plumber ordered the wrong sink faucet and damaged the sink installing and subsequently removing the incorrect faucet. Several spots were missed when the walls were painted. Pete recommended a material called 'Onyx' for the sink and vanity top, but it scratches and stains when anything touches it, so not a good choice. Bottom line is I was desperate for a remodeled bathroom in the 1950's house before I could live here. The work was adequate, but cost more than it was worth.
