Description of Work: The serviceman came out on a Friday evening, got us power again with a temporary fix, then they came back the next Friday and repaired it permanently. Very knowledgeable young man that came out. The office called us several times confirming the serviceman was coming, he was just out of pocket a bit, but he finally showed.

+ -1 moreThe service technician arrived at 10:00 am. He isolated the fault as a bad bus contact and breaker. He repaired the bus, replaced the breaker and was gone by 10:30. He was courteous, clean cut and professional. I highly recommend the services provided by Holt Electric. Based on past experience with other electricians in the area it is unlikely we will be using anyone else.
Description of Work: our home is located in the country in an isolated area. There was an electrical short that effected the lighting and outlets in two rooms. The lights flickered and anything plugged into the outlets didn't work properly. I called Holt Electric at 8:00 am. The office had the service tech contact me directly to coordinate the work.

+ -1 morei had a ceiling fan installed in the den, pendant lighting over breakfast area, and pendant lighting over formial dining room table. the hunter ceiling fan was a very heavy fan and a bracket had to be made/installed in order to suppor the weight. the work was done very professessionaly. i have used Holt electric since 2006 for numerous repairs. They have always been very prompt and have always done a professional job.
Description of Work: i had a hunter ceiling fan hung in den and two other light fixtures.

+ -1 moreIt took three business days to get someone out to do the estimate; however, I live in a rural area; was a first time customer; an this was not an emergency, so I thought that was OK. He offered to come out the following morning to do the work, but I had something going at my job and couldn't make it. They showed up on time, 7:30 AM, and got right to work. All tasks were done in less than two hours by two electricians, one the owner, who provided the estimate. Both were professional and courteous. They cleaned the work area of dust, debris, and wire strippings. The hallway socket matched the others in the house. I've never had electrician work done, so don't know if the price was in normal range or not, I have no basis to judge. But the price seemed and quot;good enoughand quot;, because otherwise I'm taking off work to get each estimate. Based on the appointment time it allowed me to miss the minimum amount of work on a work day. --
Description of Work: Three items provided on the estimate and performed.: 1) Install a socket into the hallway where none existed. 2) Moved a electric line that crossed over the hole for the attic access to an out-of -the way place.. 3) Installed light switch, lights, and socket in the attic where non existed.
