The end result turned turned out great however it did take a little bit longer than I had anticipated. I would continue to use him in the future, he showed a great deal of integrity and I would recommend him to other members.
Description of Work: He came out and put in some sheet rock, he did wall texturing, as well as regrouted the tile in the kitchen. He also fixed an electrical outlet and installed a fold in closet door.

Most work was completed by unsupervised help, not David himself. David was always nice, but over-estimates his ability. Jobs had to be done repeatedly due to lack of quality and we finally just stopped asking and gave up. We did pay what he initally estimated the price to be, but due to trying to fix mistakes and extra man hours, I am sure he lost money on the job. Rookie mistakes were being made, such as closing a door that had just been painted and was still wet. Paint jobs were sloppy and amaturish. Tiles had to be re-grouted several times. Work that was estimated to take four days to complete actually took more like three weeks. I used this service because of the high rating he was given on Angie's list. A few weeks later we saw the following in the local paper...DAVID MILLER, 65, of Shady Point, OKLA., was arrested during a traffic stop at Jenny Lind Road and Dallas Street on a Texas fugitive warrant, according to a police report. I think Angie's list needs to do a better job of researching the companies on this website. Per Provider's Response: No, estimate was for all work that was asked to be done. We added nothing after initial estimate. I asked several times during the estimate if it would add to cost and he kept quoting the same amount. When I would ask if he could do something he would reply "I can do anything, I'm that good". We had actually planned to hire him to do several other jobs on the home. He was never promised any extra money. We even gave him advances on money to cover out of pocket expenses before work was completed. We had to repaint the entire area ourselves to cover completely blank areas where no paint had been applied. Lots and lots of hassle. I understand that sometimes good people get into trouble with the law. I just think if a website is going to recommend services, they should have all the information. I have nothing against this man personally. I appreciated him trying to make things right, but it wasnt. The owner should, take more time and consideration when providing estimates. He should hire qualified people whom he can trust to do quality work when he cant supervise. I dont want anyone else having the same experience we had.

Yes, she is right, I did use some under skilled people who were suppose to know what they were doing, they had skilled but were not to the level that was required. When I saw that they were lacking I did go there my self and lost more money than I made. I came out of pocket with a considerable amount of money to complete the job and I thought made the customer happy. They paid me in full at the end of the job which did not even cover the material. Two weeks labor came out of my pocket to make right the screw ups. Also there was a verbal agreement rather than an actual contract and the customer kept adding on to the original bid. I turned a garage into a bed room which was the original bid. I framed out the walls, sheet rocked the walls, textured, painted, hung doors, made a closet with a door, hung an entry door and a door to the utility area where the washer and dryer was. I then sheet rocked the utility area, ran plumbing for the washer, ran electric for the washer and dryer, textured the walls and painted them, and then laid about three hundred feet of tile that the customer purchased, all of that for three thousand dollars. I did what I felt was more than enough to compensate the customer for the mishaps that took place and the husband told me to get back with him at a later date and he would compensate me further, which hasn't happened. I apologized profusely for my having mediocre help and did every thing in my power to rectify the situation and the end result of saving them an enormous amount of money on their project apparently wasn't enough. As far as me going to jail, yes, I had an outstanding ticket in the state of Texas which was from 1989, I was arrested and then released when the state of Texas said that it was an error on their part because traffic offenses were not extraditable offenses and I have since contacted the owner of the truck(semi) that I was driving when I got the over weight ticket. His name is Lawyer Williamson and his phone number is 901-297-1941 and he assured me that that it was an oversight on his part and he has since paid the ticket. I value Angie's List and conducted myself in a professional manner and due to my receiving the call from the customer viewing Angie's List I went to the greatest extreme to insure that the end result was a happy one, I guess I was wrong and again apologize for any inconvenience caused by taking longer that anticipated.

They started in June and finished yesterday. They are excellent and always on time. They were inexpensive. They did not charge that much. They did a wonderful job. They did all the plumbing, electrical, tile and everything. Their add says one call does it all. That us true because they do everything. I don't have to pay a separate electrician or plumber, they do it all. Everybody quoted 8-9 thousand. They are also local.
