BAKER HEAT & AIR

My heat pump went out which is not good at the start of the warm season. I was anticipating sweating a lot and didn't want that. I called several companies for a quote after having my unit checked to make sure that it was out. I received multiple quotes. Starting at $2200 to replace just the outside unit and leave the 12 year old inside unit, this is the cheaper option but after MUCH research not the best thing to do, all the way up to $14,000. I was given the name of Baker Heat and Air by a co-worker. It was her uncle and she swore by him. Said that he was wonderful and a very hard worker and and quot;wouldn't do you wrongand quot;. That is exactly what happened. I had decided to let him come to the conclusion that the system needed to be replaced. I told him that it wasn't cooling. He was very thorough with the examination of the unit. He said, and quot;oh man...it is dead for sureand quot;. He didn't charge me the service call because in his words, and quot;you're going to have to spend some money to replace this and we'll just forget about the service calland quot;. He looked at everything and pointed out the exact same things that the $14,000 quote found as well. Return box wasn't sealed properly and many other things. He said that he would take all the info/measurements and get a quote to me the next morning. He came back with an estimate of $5550.00. I agreed to the price and he started a couple days later. His first task was the return box. That took him all day but it was FLAWLESS! It was the type of craftsmanship that a Grandfather would put into a rocking horse for their grandchild. It was perfect. He then installed the inside and outside unit the following two days. It took him a little longer since he was working by himself. He was extremely polite and very thoughtful of our home. He cleaned up very well and made sure that there was zero screws left in the driveway. He actually came in under his estimate. His original estimate was $5550.00 and his final dollar amount was $5535.42. I know that I have a new Heat/Air guy for sure!! If you want a good reliable person that won't give you the and quot;runaroundand quot; then call Baker Heat and Air. He's the type of guy that would shake your hand and call it an unbreakable contract. On a side note...he reminded me of Si Robertson. :)

We returned home to find that our downstairs furnace had stopped working. The H and A person we have used for years wasn't available. Mr. Baker responded quickly, spotted and repaired the broken part, and restored heat to our home.

He is excellent, I would recommend him to anybody.
