0 for 2 from Angie's List companies. This time around we dealt with Tom's Electric. We scheduled an electrician to come out and relocate our washer and dryer outlet a distance of approximately 40 feet up one floor. The first day he was supposed to be here at 9 am. He showed up around 1pm. Not exactly punctual in my book. Wasted an entire day waiting for him to show. He didn't do any work that time around, so he wanted to come back Thursday now that he had seen what parts he needed. Not a problem, scheduled to show up between 9 and 9:30 AM. He showed up after 10:30. That should've been enough for me to find someone else. Instead I let him do that work. He left at 11:45 with nothing completed to go get parts (that he was already supposed to have). Showed back up at 1:15 with parts to do the actual work. So he finally gets started around 2 PM. He begins drilling holes through the wall, seems the first hole wasn't good enough so he drills a second. He also did not patch the wall where he drilled the first hole and just left it as is. It seems extremely quiet around 3:45, I assume he is just running wires or something else. Finally I go to check on him at 4:15 and he isn't even in the house. He is out sitting in his truck. Apparently he is out making a list of parts he used to write it up. The work isn't complete, tools are scattered in my basement and on the stairs to the basement. Around 5 o'clock he comes back in to finish the work. He completed the work around 5:30 and left. I received my invoice today and it lists 5.5 hours of labor. In summary, the technician did not clean up after himself, showed up late twice, overcharged, and the work he did do looked mediocre at best.

Tech quickly repaired the problem with the a/c and got it running again... Invoice was faxed over to me same day. Tom's Electric had to squeeze this one in their schedule and they accomodated us like pros!

They were excellent. They called us back. They were responsive. They were good at arriving on time. They were courteous and helpful. The price was good. This was a few months ago. The other companies we contacted were not responsive or helpful.

I would recommend Melton's to anyone needing HVAC work done. Very Professional and thorough.

I am really not sure if they do plumbing but I do need to check because I need some plumbing work done. They were excellent. Their price was very good. They do appliance services too. They could have fixed my microwave, but I had to go through the home warranty and they call who they want to call and send them out here.
