Installation took several days and seemed to be working well. This year we are having problems with rooms not getting enough air, humidity being too high and the house not being cool enough.
Description of Work: Installed a new furnace and air conditioner.

Response from Matrix Mechanical Plumbing and Heating
The (member name removed)'s are old customers who had a very old unit that our techs kept running for years to save them money. The new unit worked perfectly fine last summer and works perfectly fine this summer. A home's humidity is affected by cooking, showering, laundry, etc, plus Oklahoma had a very rainy summer this year. If the home is too humid a de-humidifier should be purchased. Honestly, someone (Mike) made an Anti Obama, or anti-Democrat statement which seemed to offend the customer, and that is probably the reason for this bad review. Mike is a registered Democrat who stands by his poor opinion of his party. ;-)

I had a leak underneath the slab and instead of tearing out the slab they went up the wall through the roof, through the ceiling and back through the adjacent wall to reconnect to the rest of the plumbing which I thought was ingenious. It saved me from having the floor fixed by getting the whole floor re-tiled. The house is 17 years old and there is no way I could have matched the tiles. So he saved me a lot of money. We have hard water and it is switched to a water softening system and the build up that had occurred in the copper pipe once it is then exposed to the softened water that build up erodes away and if there is a weakness in the copper pipe it will spring a leak. So it sprung a leak under my slab. You have a major artery in your house which you don't expect to fail. He was very knowledgeable. He took his time to answer my question and he spoke to me as if he is a teacher. So he was teaching me about the ways of plumbing and what happened and everything. He did not talk down to me or make me feel that because I am woman I will not understand. He took his time and explained all to me. Price wise he gave me my options and explained the cost benefit for each option. I will definitely use this company in the future. He was not here to take advantage of me but he was here to educate me.
Description of Work: I had Matrix Mechanical Plumbing and Heating in September to reroute a pipeline in the house.

They did all the original plumbing in our custom home. I was very appreciative that this contractor would do business with us as we are in the city of Norman, OK (as the city of Norman building inspectors are notoriously critical). However he agreed to work with us anyway. As it turned out, we did have some issues with the inspectors. The plumbers did an excellent job with the overall project. He has also always been right on with any of the questions that I have and he always has a smile on his face. I called them and told them I had a leak and he came right away. He responded immediately. He discovered what the problem was, showed me and explained what was wrong - the leak was caused by a defective pipe. They repaired the problem for no charge. They repaired the damaged ceiling. The patch work was very good. They were very apologetic. I'm editing the first report given. I gave it over the phone and I think it's best to take care of it myself to give a better picture. Although a lot of prep work and research was done prior to the construction of our home in 2005 (completed in 2006 - largely due to delays caused by incompetent subs (despite the intensive research - THANK GOODNESS for Angie's List as I will not repeat mistakes ever again!!) and City of Norman building inspectors.) Anyone who has dealt with City of Norman can tell you that maybe they are well-meaning; they have a reputation for being unreasonable, including using outdated building codes and inconsistency between inspectors. BUT this report is about Mike Six and Matrix Mechanical - so - although not happy to contend with the issues that can arise with City of Norman, Mike took on our job regardless, in light of the original General Contractor and his unscrupulous ways. And did a stellar job. Wonderfully professional; showed up as promised; did the work and addressed issues as they arose. Although I don't have the cost at the top of my head - I do recall that it was in line with what we expected to pay and felt that we got our monies worth. Could not have asked for better service - johnny-on-the-spot. Period. The leak issue related to in previous report that was due to defective materials - could have been caught by City of Norman - but instead they flunked that inspection due to a dishwasher hose that had come untacked - yeah, THAT'S sure to be a major issue for a homeowner. Not, say, a pipe upstairs that is defective and causes a leak requiring ceiling repair... Yeah, that still sticks in my craw. Mike and his crew were one of the shining stars of our home building adventure as they were most dependable - most reliable and most professional. I simply can't say enough kind words about the level of service received. Someone might read this report and ask if perhaps maybe the plumbers might have caught the defective pipe - maybe. But most importantly in that regard, they stood behind their work - they righted the issue IMMEDIATELY and competently and I would not hesitate to contact them again for any future needs. To me, a sign of a good service provider is one that you will go back to time and again - and one that you will refer to others without reservation. That is Mike Six.
Description of Work: Custom home built in Noble/Norman area. All plumbing installed - everything a new home requires - kitchen, 3 and 1/2 baths and basement needs addressed. He repaired a faulty pipe piece that caused a leak in my upstairs bathroom, which damaged my first floor ceiling.
