Update on my review on Yelp. (See my pictures on Yelp of their work) They reached out to me by sending Yelp msgs claiming that this project is intact and also couldn't do anything claiming my project was done over 6 months ago and wouldn't honor their 1 year warranty. I replied back that my project was done in April and hadn't been 6 months asking if they would honor their warranty they mentioned. Plus, how is this project intact when clearing a ton of weeds are coming through the weed barrier they laid out?! No surprise, they've ignored all of my msgs since then. I spent $1800 on this project which I also paid for all of the rocks on top of paying them $1800. Just wanting to post to save the next person from making the same mistake I made. Update as of 9/30/24 Uodate from my ladt review Glad to say that after my bad reviews at various sites, they finally came back and cleaned up the project. They brought a red crepe myrtle as well. They pulled all the weeds, laid out new weed barrier, added the mulch around all of the shrubs and tree and also used Round up as well. I truly appreciate them coming out and doing this. I wish it didn't take me being "ghosted" when they replied to my Yelp msg and took me having to post so many bad reviews, for them to come back out, but as my dad even said, this is the way the job should have been done, the 1st time.
Description of Work: They were doing landscaping, in part of the front yard. They were to plant boxwood shrubs, plant a tree, apply rocks that I had bought ahead of time and make a border around it with brick, they also had laid down weed barrier, which you can tell from the pictures has done absolutely nothing.

They changed the slope of the yard were it now slopes to the house instead of diverting the water down the sides. They spread a little sand on the ground and put the retaining blocks on top of it. The one done previous had been dug down and placed on 2-3 inches of gravel and the lower part of the block was buried. I heard them discussing something the jest I got was maybe she didn't think it was done right because David said no they are heavy blocks. The first rain we got started the erosion of the sand. By a month the wall was tipping forward and sinking in some areas. I called them back out because the way the yard was sloped I had a foot of water at the base of my house. They agreed in front of 2 of my sons that they would come back and redo the wall. The agreement was that they would move the wall 3 feet forward because they had cut down my yard in that area a foot lower than my neighbors on each side. They had cut down so low they almost had all the cement around a fence post uncovered. Dig down and put 2-3 inches of gravel and bury they lower part of the wall. I had asked about maybe putting stairs in in April when this was first started. I asked 3 times for the price of doing that. I never received the estimate because they knew that I would not do it if it was a lot since this would be extra. I came home from work and they had put the stairs in and charged me $500.00. I very seldom knew when they were going to be here. I had to keep texting them to find out when they were coming out. They finally texted me they were coming out on 6-18-14. I got a text if they needed me to pick up the gravel. I said yes. They said it would be a $45.00 charge I agreed to that. She then asked if we wanted it put behind the wall. I said no you agreed to dig down and put 2-3 inches of gravel and bury the lower part of the block. Teresa said "oh, were going to dig down and put sand. I said no that is why you are picking up the gravel. I came home on 6-18-14 there was 3 rows of the retaining wall up. They had asked me to get extra blocks and caps. They did originally put up 3 rows. I had added another row because it was not high enough. He had offered to come back and put that row up for a $100.00. I said no and did it myself. So, they took down 4 rows instead of 3. Thursday the 19th we had a really hard rain. At 9:45 PM I saw a text that was at 8:32 am saying that David only put up 3 rows and he was going to have to charge me extra for the 4th row and caps. As my phone is in my purse at work I did not see that text. They put them up without me agreeing to that. I could have put that row up and caps myself and if I had not had him do it the first time why would I now pay him $250.00 to do it now. Their workers walked all over the backyard in the mud. The yard is rutted and has deep footprints. They did not finish. There is several blocks that needed to be cut. Also, they did not move the wall forward because I would not hire them to put a French drain in. In April I asked if they were going to level behind the retaining wall because they had dumped all the excess dirt there. He said the contract said he would put the dirt back there. Then he wanted to charge me extra for hauling off the excess dirt and leveling. This time the row is straight. The first time it was wavy. It is level length wise but on the west side almost 3/4 of the wall the blocks are tipped forward.
Description of Work: They were hired to remove an existing retaining wall and move it back and level the yard.

I have Aguilar Landscape come and fertilize my lawn and do weed control. This is a pretty average company. It usually takes them four or five days to come out after I call them. They did miss a few spots but they said they would take care of it.
