Workers were friendly, courteous and answered any and all questions. Shelter not Scheduled until late October. Call one day and said they would be here the next day. Nice to have it finished several months early. Workers made sure they were as neat as possible doing the job and did excellent clean up before they left.

I'll be as honest as I can with this review. I thought they did a good job of handling the installation. I did notice some dirt still present in our garage and I had to sweep it up, but they appeared to have done a solid job. What I find a bit unusual is cleaning their equipment with our water hose. The guy didn't even ask if he could use our faucet. That was a bit weird to me. Do they not have the ability to stop by a car wash and use those services instead? Anyway that is me just being a bit nit picky in regards to being considerate of your surroundings and I just found it odd to take the time to wash their equipment with our water hose. We did not question them on it at the time it occurred. What they need to work on is their customer service within the office headquarters. That can be improved on. A girl that works in the office lacks those skills or perhaps she was having a bad day. I struggled with rating their price as an and quot;Aand quot;. My reason is because, we found other shelters from other companies at a lower rate or that they were bigger in size. But one thing compared to the other companies is that they use a cement truck and the encasing is all concrete - no dirt. So perhaps that is why the price was $2800 and you are NOT asked to put down a deposit which is a plus. Companies who require a deposit in my mind is a bit silly. What I have detailed above are not dealbreakers to us in that the bottom line is: did they get the job done? In this day and age, it is tough to find a company that does everything from Point A to Point B 100%. In fact, I think it does not exist. But you have to choose your battles and look at the overall body of work. Therefore, I would recommend them to anyone who would want their use services.

Timely, professional. Needed to check back after purchase to understand instructions to get permit from city. Many cities don't require that but our initial instructions were unclear. Forgot to bring light and fan I ordered/paid for. Not sure that he would have mentioned it if I hadn't. I am very pleased with all Ground Zero staff. Information left with us about use of shelter and emergency kit is very helpful.

This company installed an extra-large underground storm shelter in my garage. The two man crew arrived on time. That's an A. They installed what I purchased. That's a C. They had me sign an agreement to pay for any overtime. They didn't charge extra. That's a C. The finish work on the cement was okay. That's a C. The cleanup could have been better. That's barely a C. Overall, hey another C. I might use them again, but I would look around a little first. As for the crew, the senior guy had experience and did a fair job, the other guy had been with the company for three days and he was not much help and did not do good work. One more thing, the EXTRA LARGE storm shelter is NOT large, I hope my family never uses it.

They were supposed to be here at noon, but were delayed on their first job from the morning. However, they did call and let us know about noon, and told us they would be here by 2pm, which they were. They arrived at 2pm and were finished before 6pm. They cut the hole in garage floor very accurately and as clean as is possible. They were very fast and efficient and seemed very experienced. All the dirt and debris from the hole was hauled off and the cement truck was their right on time to fill the hole. The shelter fit very well into the hole and was finished out properly. The only complaint is that they splashed some overspray/spill in their cleanup, on to my neighbors brick wall, which is near the garage entrance. I did not notice this until after they left. But I was able to clean it off without much trouble. Overall, I was very pleased with the end result and with the fast, effcient job the workers did. The office staff were also very helpful, and moved our install date up quickly, after we obtained the permit. We thought the price was good.

They were punctual, fast, and friendly. Installation was initially scheduled to take place a few weeks earlier but was delayed due to factors outside Ground Zero's control. As they were cutting the garage floor concrete we discovered that we had post tension cables in the slab when they hit one. The regulations for the town of Stillwater requires that a company that installs post tension cables come and re-tighten the cut cables before proceeding. This process involves cutting a slightly larger hole in the concrete, installing hardware, pouring new concrete, waiting for it to harden, and then re-tightening the cables; thus, causing the few weeks delay. (This also added a significant extra cost, but, again, that is not Ground Zero's fault.) Ground Zero scheduled a new installation date the day after the cables were re-tightened and did not charge anything extra for having to come out twice, despite this not being their fault. Installation was fast and they did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. They were very friendly and cheerfully answered all my stupid questions about the hows and whys about the installation and construction in general.

Ground Zero was awesome. They said they would arrive between 6:30 and 8. They arrived at 7. They immediately went to work and were super nice and professional. My two year old was fascinated with the equipment and Chuck was super nice and would honk the horn for him on the excavator. They had to leave twice to dump dirt and were back promptly. The minute they started cutting i envisioned water flying everywhere. They had two men constantly working with a squeegie and broom to keep the water moved out of the garage and into the yard. Everyone was very friendly and efficient and they left our garage cleaner than when they arrived. You could not even tell they were here other than the awesome shelter in our garage floor. They didn't use any foul language and every crew member was always working hard doing something. I love that they backfill 100% with concrete instead of using sand.Chuck was super nice to show us all how the shelter worked and to even get us an extra handle to help get in due to some family disabilities. I cannot recommend them enough. Oh, an added plus...we were scheduled for August 7th and they called to offer us early installation due to a cancellation nearly two months early. A huge relief to us since we were victims of the Moore tornado.

The crew and equipment arrived on time and completed the installation of the large size below floor shelter in about 5 hours. The 2-man crew showed up on time and worked diligently for 5-6 hours installing the shelter. The ground beneath the garage was so compacted that they actually had to use a jack hammer to break some of the ground up. There were no rocks and no additional costs to me for this effort. I was allowed to stay out in the garage and watch them work, which I thought was pretty cool. The gentlemen were courteous and extremely professional. they left the garage very clean, and showed me how to enter/exit the shelter before their departure.

They go the extra mile to make sure that they are delivering a product that makes it stand out from all their competitors. They cleaned upped completely after their work was done and you could not tell that anyone was there except for the new storm shelter in the floor. A top notch company.

The crew arrived on time and were very efficient. They were very experienced, professional, and polite. No hitches whatsoever. They completed their work in about 4 hours, cleaned up thoroughly, and hauled off any waste. Installation went like clockwork in accordance to their video. I can recommend them without hesitation.
Description of Work: Ground Zero installed their large underground (in Garage) storm shelter. We visited their showroom in Oklahoma City prior to deciding on which unit to purchase. Their office staff were very helpful in showing us the units and making suggestions with regard to location. Scheduling the installation was not a problem. We obtained the building permit in Norman and the company called to confirm the date and time. No payment was required until the work had been completed to our satisfaction. The inspection by the City of Norman a day or so later revealed no deficiencies.

Ground Zero was highly recomended to me by two previous customers. The shelter was to be installed in a single car garage on the side of my driveway that is adjacent to the concrete walkway leading to the front door. They efficiently installed the shelter, then powerwashed the garage floor, the driveway, and the walkway. The next day, after the driveway and walkway were dry, I found that the tracks on their digging equipment had severely abraded the concrete driveway and there was a gouge on the walkway about 1/2 inch wide and about 48 inches long. I telephoned Ground Zero to report this damage and spoke to a woman who did not seem very concerned but said she would send someone to look at it. I heard nothing from them, so several days letter I reported the damage and sent photos by email to someone named and quot;Richardand quot;, who is listed on their website as the contact. He responded that it was not damage to the concrete but was and quot;cream or fresh topand quot; that had come off. I responded that it didn't matter what it is called, it looks really bad. Richard said to call him to talk about it. I called the next day and left a voice mail message. After a week of not hearing back from him, I sent him another email message telling him I had called. Now it has been another week with no response. It looks like they are just going to ignore me. I feel that Ground Zero should have: 1. Warned me that they might scrape up my driveway (and there is no excuse whatsoever for the gouge on the walkway) or take some precautions to insure that they would not damage the concrete 2. Shown some degree of concern that I was not happy and try to resolve the issue rather than just decide to ignore me 3. At least apologize. I cannot recommend any business that demonstrates such disregard for a customer.
