+ -1 moreWayne came over shortly after we called him to see what we needed to have done to give us an estimate. He called the next day with the estimate. He was able to do the work about 3 or 4 days later. He worked from 9am to 4pm without a lunch break and finished everything in one day. He's very professional, friendly and thorough. We are very pleased!
Description of Work: Wayne replace all the light switches, all the plugs, all the breakers, plates and installed a new fan and added a new plug for the refrigerator in the garage.

+ -1 moreWe moved into the house and tried to hookup the Dryer. The plug did not match the receptical. Called the folks at Classic after reviewing electricians on Angie's List, BBB, and internet. We chose Classic for the reviews and because the company was in town. We called, told them our problem, and they understood. They said they would be out that afternoon due to the workload. Turns out the serviceman came sooner, looked at our problem, and made a better recommendation. He explained the possible changes and let me decide which was better for us. Just a great experience.

Description of Work: Our service person was prompt, he went straight to work he fininshed the job I hired him for plus explained what and why he was doing it. He was very knowledgable. He was in and out in less than an hour. I appreciated the work he done and was very happy with willingness to explain his work so that I was able to understan.. I will call him again for any electrical work that we may have need of. I will also recomend him to others.

Description of Work: I have used Classic Electric several times since I moved into my house in 2003. The recommendation was given to me by the former owner of my house. The first project was doing all ther electrical work on a pool house I was having constructed. Classic Electric owner Wayne Gaylord was very professional in the work performed, arrived promply when he was needed for his part of the new construction and completed his work in a minimal amount of time. I have also used Classic for other minor electrical repairs such as adding recepticles, replacing light ballasts, repairing bathroom vent motors, repairing faulty outdoor driveway lights, and other electrical repairs. Mr Gaylord has always billed what I consider a fair price for the work being done and has always been prompt to appointments.

+ -1 moreLocal electric company came out and replaced my meter because it got hot and quit sending a signal to them. The man that replaced the meter said two contacts were discolored, the plastic cover on the back of the meter was melted and I needed to have an electrician check it out and repair the problem. I called Wayne (Classic Electric Co,) at about 3:00 pm and he said he had just finished a job and would stop by. Wayne arrived at about 3:30 pm and located the bad contacts and replaced them with some contacts he had on his truck. He notified the power company when he had finished to report that repairs had been made and the security tag needed to be replaced by the power company. Wayne was finished with the job by 4:00 pm. Excellent work and fast results.
Description of Work: Replaced bad electrical contacts that the electric meter plug into.

+ -1 moreThey were very professional, and very fast. They had everything on a pretty long list of jobs done in just a few hours. They were able to do the work only 3 days after the estimate, and 5 work days after I called them. They even did several little extra details not on the list of tasks (like install a double switch for a fan and light when I'd only asked for a single switch, and direct wiring an under-counter light I had just plugged into an outlet) for no extra charge. In fact, he even volunteered to go across the street and install a new switch at my parent's house for no extra charge!
Description of Work: They installed several new light fixtures and fans, and rewired some others.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE NEW WIRE CODES THAT HAD JUST WENT INTO EFFECT AND LET US KNOW WHAT COULD BE DONE AND WHAT COULDN'T BE DONE, WHICH I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH. THEY EVEN MADE A FEW SUGGESTIONS, THAT WE HADN'T THOUGHT ABOUT.
