You Move Me

DO NOT USE!!! First, we were quoted “1500” for 3-4hours with 3/4 movers for a 1600 sqft house. It ended up being 7.5 hours and paid almost $2,000 with significant damages to our property. The movers were apologetic, got us in touch with their management. And Rader, their supervisor, told us how they could make it right. The said they would take $80 off the bill for any damages when there was over $80 worth of repairs. Or we could pay the whole amount and they’d fix the damages. I’ve never experienced such bad customer service. It’s been almost 2 weeks with no repairs made. The owner, Conner, was very dismissive about our concerns and besides an occasional text that someone is coming… it’s been 2 weeks with no actions taken. One member of you move me came to measure broken glass from my patio table however, no update has been given. That member was sent to assess damages as well and his remedy for my significantly scuffed bed frame was to shave it down and paint it with makers from Lowe’s. Then in the process of moving, a sprinkler head was broken. And Conner simply stated that he’s never had this happen in 10 years. He insinuated that we were making up these damages.

Our moving guys were GREAT! They were on time, organized and worked very quickly and safely. I'll hire them again and recommend to my friends and family.

Cameron T and Ian did a fantastic job of moving our furniture in to our garage. They wrapped, taped and carefully and neatly placed all of our furniture in one side of our garage. They were very courteous and a pleasure to have in our home. We have requested them again for bring our furniture back in to our home when the floors are done. Great Job Guys!!!! You Move Me was hired to pack a 28 foot trailer I rented from ABF for an out of state move. I was willing to pay the higher price they charge because I have a lot of antiques. Not only did they not utilize the whole truck in loading they did extensive damage to much of my furniture. After speaking to the owner, Connor, he took little responsibility and was rude and unprofessional. He actually had the audacity to say my furniture was not that nice. Who says that to a customer? I would never recommend them and would caution anyone to not use their overpriced and poor quality services.

I spoke with Connor (who phoned me after receiving a notification from Angie's List), and I described the job--a simple, 30-minute move, tops. I needed a mattress and base picked up from my storage unit and brought to my home. The unit is just over two miles from the house. He told me the price and we set a tentative date. After that, he ghosted me. He did not respond to texts or phone calls. A simple text, "sorry, can't do it," and that would have been fine--I wouldn't have even considered leaving a negative review. Luckily, I found a handyman to do it last minute, all in, 15 minutes.

Great. Very considerate and helpful service and would hire them again if needed.

Terrible. Failed to move all items, broke some items not found until later, was totally unfriendly and disrespectful when called to move the items they missed. Very messy move.

Not good at all. It was a terrible move. They forgot stuff, it was bad. They were very rude when we called them and said, “hey, you didn’t get everything!” They said, “well, we will give you one more hour, but if we go over an hour we are going to charge you extra!” They charged us more than they said they were going to, to start with. It was somewhere between $1,700/$1,800 & $2,000. Somewhere in that area. They were on time, but they didn’t finish the pack like at night.

They were great. They were very helpful. They took very little time to move all of our stuff. They were really easy to work with.

I was very impressed by You Move Me. They staff had a great attitude, lots and energy and were pleasant to be around.

Paid by the hour and in no rush. Two men showed up, almost on time (they needed to get gas). The apparent senior employee of the two was responsible and professional. The other, not so much. About halfway through the job, the senior of the two seemed frustrated with his helper and stated that had he not gone out the night before, they would have already been done. This is simply not what you want to hear, as you are being charged by the time they are working. Not by the job. As for the quality of the work, it was adequate. **Update...Andrew (the owner) called and emailed me personally to apologize and reach out to rectify the concerns. The employee whom under performed and disappointed is no longer with the company. Andrew was very professional and due to his genuine care of me as a customer AND taking care of my individual needs, I would give them another business opportunity and acknowledge the challenges which some employees bring.

Walls were chipped, furniture chipped. They did come and fix things, but a brand new book case now has a glued piece.

I was 'moved' by how fast and efficient their crew was! They moved the large furniture for my family of 5 from one location to the new location in about 3.5 hours. Being bored, I tried to help, but was suggested to sit back and let them do the hard work. They loaded the truck very carefully to protect everything while making sure there was room for everything. Felix and Taylor were very professional, friendly, and courteous throughout the work, even when I asked them to move the furniture to another room since it didn't fit as we expected. I'm glad I was convinced not to move myself--they moved me in probably a quarter of the time it would have taken me and few friends without having to worry about renting a truck, dollies, blankets, and sore muscles. It was definitely a smart move to hire this team to help and I'll do it again without hesitating!

I purchased furniture (dining room table, chair and a china cabinet) at an estate sale late on a Friday afternoon. The estate seller required that I move the furniture no later than Sunday. I called around and settled on You Move Me. I purchased the $225 promotion for a truck and 2 movers for 2 hours. Any extra time is $109 per hour and is prorated - billed in 15 minute blocks. This move required the pickup of furniture in Edmond, move that furniture to a residence in Oklahoma City, loading furniture at the Oklahoma City residence and moving it to a third location. Once at the third location, furniture from this location was moved into the garage for a charity to pick up and furniture from the 2nd stop was moved into this third residence. So this really involved three moves. All was done in 2.5 hours by Dalton and Hunter. Dalton and Hunter were very professional and personable and did a great job. I generally try to plan everything well ahead of time but my estate sale purchase did not allow for much planning. This company was available on short notice, worked on a weekend and did a great job. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone !! I was very pleased with their services! Thanks Dalton and Hunter !

The young men who came to move us seemed fairly new at the job, not very professional. They seemed to move things the hard way, simply by brute force, when some things could have been disassembled. They badly scratched my wood floor by dragging furniture across it, and then denied it when I pointed out to them what they were doing. Like follow the trail! Several pieces of furniture were scratched or damaged. They did finally send someone back to attempt to repair the floor which did help some, but I had to do a great deal more to fix it. Also they had promised that I could have wardrobe boxes to move my clothes, and when they got there they only had 2 boxes and said that that was all they could get. Could not possibly move the clothes with only two boxes. Anyway, all in all, they did get things moved from one home to the one across the street, but generally was not an overall pleasant experience. I was disappointed in their service and will not likely use them again or recommend them.

Went perfectly. They moved everything in a short amount of time with no problems at all.

They did a great job, one item was damaged in the move - however they were up front about it and proactively worked to make it right. They showed up on time, were extremely polite and worked hard and fast.

Dexter and Julius were fantastic. They arrived on time, the communication was good, and their attitude and professionalism were spot on. We were moving two homes into one and I saved the heaviest and bulkiest items for them. On several occasions they went above and beyond. I could not have been more pleased and recommend this company without hesitation.

We were very frustrated with the movers. Below is the text that I sent on the follow up e-mail that came automatically the day after our move. As of today, June 17, 2015, I have never heard from anyone at the company about our experience. Anyway, here is our response to them for the quality and care from the move: "What I expected to happen was that the movers would take everything that we had boxed up, all of our furniture, and appliances and put them in the big truck. Then I would take the things they were prohibited to carry, such as propane tanks, gas cans, etc. What actually happened is that they took about half of the stuff, saying that the truck was full, and that your company rules prohibited them from stacking things on the appliances. So what ended up happening is that they took the items in the truck. We filled up a pickup, a small SUV, and a trailer, and we went to Wellston. The next day we rented a U-Haul trailer, and my spouse, two of our grandchildren, and me, made two more round trips from Wellston to Newcastle and back to get the rest of the things that would have easily fit into the truck. So I have additional expenses that were unnecessary if your company would allow your movers to actually fill a truck like it is intended to be filled. We have moved multiple times in our professions as pastors, and it has always been the case that the movers packed the truck as tightly as possible with all of our possessions, provided that we have done our work ahead of time. And we have. We had everything boxed that we wanted to go on the truck. Fragile boxes were also marked. We were as well prepared as anyone could be to move. And yet we were told several times of your company policies. For instance, we were told that your movers could not disconnect the washing machine from the water supply. I am in good enough health that I could do that. But I also thought about our father in law, who will likely need to move to an assisted living facility in the very near future. He is in a wheelchair, is on oxygen all the time. If your movers had come to his house and told him that he would need to disconnect the washing machine and the refrigerator from the water lines because they were prohibited from doing so, he would simply not be able to do that. It seems like your company is more worried about liability than moving and assuming the risks that go along with it. That attitude has certainly been conveyed to your employees. I would certainly be willing to talk with anyone from your company, and I told the movers that as I was paying them. I have no idea if they communicated that request up the line, but I am still willing to discuss this move with anyone who will listen. My phone number is 405-***-****. The provider charged me an additional $50 and called it a truck fee. The ad stated the truck was included. The ad does mention additional charges if over time limit. If that is what my charge was for then that's fine but to call it a truck fee is misleading. The crew left a large rut in the neighbors lawn. The company is sending out a rep to handle that issue with my neighbor. *Update* After speaking with You Move Me after our experience, the company worked with the neighbor who received damage to the lawn. It was also explained that the truck fee was added to save us money. The deal was updated after our purchase to reflect this charge.

Took far to long to get the house loaded up, however they made it right by bringing in 4 more guys and got us unloaded with care very quickly. Good guys, the owner/manager showed up and really helped out with his other guys.
