WINDSOR DOOR SIDING & WINDOW

Windsor installed the garage door on my house. Within 2 years the door has already started to bow out. Within 2 years the door has already come off its track and had cable issues. I can only assume this is due to poor materials and poor installation. Windsor was no help when I reached out to them. They said it must have been my fault and I must not have maintained the door.

Very smooth. Arrived when he said he would and took less than an hour from start to finish.

The first time we used this company we were very impressed that is why we hired them again for a big job. After paying a down payment the day after we closed on this house the first of May. We waited until they told us the day the time frame they would start the project we didn't hear a word from them so I finally called to inquired at least to see why they hadn't put the garage doors up.I was told the doors were in stock and the windows have been in the back for for a while. At that time I was informed that that the installer was in the hospital sick with pheumonia. I ask Chad if he didn't have anyone else that could install our windows he informed me NO. They finally installed the garage doors Chad said the windows would follow July 7 he said they would be there they never came never came and then finally at the end of that week he called on a Thurs. at the end of the day and said can we start now. I told him we were leaving for a wedding that day and we would be gone and I asked would they be able to start Monday and he said it depends when we can work you back in the schedule. They started delivering the windows and They had ordered the wrong windows for the front of the house. The rest of the materials they would be working with were just dumped out in our backyard and on the sides of the house in the front. The shutters the poles and they would sit there for months until completion. There were trash bags left of the glass from the windows that were taken out of our house that we ended up throwing out in our big trash day because they were left in our back yard. When they called in the middle of the day and said the replacement windows are here we have someone headed to your house my husband and I were both at work there was not a contracter working that day we had to leave work to meet them there. They never told us in advance it was always when someone was on there way. They dropped the new windows off on a different day and they left them outside. Even after the men had been there working those windows stayed outside. My husband and I are the ones that moved them inside because we were worried about them being broken. There was glass in all of my flower beds nails on the drive way. It was a mess. The job wasn't completed until August 31. I called Chad several times asking him where we stood on this job and he would always say he would call me back but never would. When they job was finally completed they sent the bill to my old address that had to be forwarded to my new address. I received on a Friday on Monday is the first time Windsor would actually make a phone call to me to tell me they haven't received my payment yet and I am past due. I was totally offended. When I told this lady I was offended she said she was going to have some one other than Chad call me back. The man that sold us the windows called me back and every thing I said he was defending the company and trying to act like it was all my fault. He informed me that it was because everything wasn't perfect for me. I am not even like that at all. He sure treated me differently when he was trying to sale me the windows. I only expected that when someone told me something that it was the truth and that they would follow thru with what they had said. When I spend 7,000 I don't expect to have to watch over and call them to make sure the job is getting done. I expect to be treated with respect. I would not hire them again and I would hate to see this happen to some one else. it's not right.

It went fine. He was professional and polite. He took his time to do the job right. He didn't hurry to get to the next job. He adjusted the upper springs. He lubricated all the springs and rollers. He tested the operation of the door several times during the period of adjustments. It took about an hour. He reduced the "canting" of the garage door. I thought the charge would be higher, but the $80 included the trip and labor. No other parts were required. The garage door runs more smoothly and quieter now. He answered my questions. If the garage door stays settled for the next year or two. I will call Windsor back for any future service.

It took them so long. We paid them half down in October. It was February when they finished. The installer that did the windows was the saving grace of the whole job.

Having used this company for 20 + years, on multiple properties and projects, scheduled them to install a new garage door and opener at my son's house a week before winter weather was supposed to hit. Waited half a day for them to arrive for appointment, they did not arrive, I called, they apologized, we rescheduled (I made it clear I wanted to get this done before bad weather was supposed to come in following week). Second appt. came and went, I called, they apologized, we rescheduled yet again for following morning -- to barely beat a big storm that was predicted to hit following afternoon. Well, morning came and went, no installers. I called at noon, asked to speak with a manager or owner, who could not have been more rude or insulting when I told him this history. He called me a liar, said they hadn't missed any appointments and that I was just trying to get them out at the last minute because we were going to have a big storm. I told him we had been using them for over 20 years, and had certainly never tried to take advantage of them before, and that I was not in a position to argue, because crucial time was being wasted. He denied I had made an appointment at all -- just as their truck pulled up to install the door that happened to be the correct size, and with an opener ( if no appointment, how did installers know to arrive?), just as it began to snow very hard. I did get the door and opener installed, the install crew was actually quite nice, but it was just such an unpleasant and upsetting experience, that I will never use them again.

The service and workmanship was very good. The price was a little higher than one of the other companies I checked with but the product was a little different. overall very satisfied.

Omar was the installer that showed up on the job. I was impressed with him. great installation very professional and knew what he was doing. Also answered all my questions. He made sure everything was installed proper and precise. He also cleaned up all material after the install. If you need a new garage door go with Windsor very pleasurable experience. Tim

The technician showed up on time and quickly installed the door along with sensors. He was prompt and professional. He cleaned up the area. He was very quick in his work and explained the warranty in detail. Very pleased with this company.

Me garage door broke around 8PM. Windsor called me back promptly and sent a repairman out right away. The door was fixed by 10PM. They charged a little extra because of it being an emergency call, but they told me that up-front, and I was OK with that. I would not have been able to sleep with my door standing open!

This was the best service we have ever had and the cheapest I have ever paid. We are moving and I will be calling them back to help us in our new house. I wished I would have found this place before now.

They were here on time, did a nice a job and were in and out. They were friendly and prompt and good price

Extremely professional and above all, honest company. I cannot recommend this company enough. Arrived, assessed, removed, and replaced broken and suspect springs. No muss, no fuss - just competent workers doing their jobs. Other companies wanted more money to replace just one spring.

A rep.for Windsor came to our house and showed us the availiable product.When we chose a color for the doors and windows,we were informed,that the color we chose was not yet availiable for the patiodoor.So we went with a second option for color.We waited 4 weeks before contacting Windsor about the status of our order.We were informed,that the product had been in the warehouse for two weeks :( We scheduled installationdate.The installers schowed up and proceded to knock the primary front window out.Then the "professional installer"realized,that the window was the wrong size.So he went to "Home Depot "and purchased plywood to cover the opening the missing window left.They installed the rest of the first load of windows.The next day they came back to finish the job.Only to find out ,that the front door was delivered in the wrong color.We told them to never mind about the stormdoor-just deduct it from the bill.We waited 2 more weeks to finally get the front window installed.This was 12 november 2013.We talked to the owner of Windsor to see how he would make good on the rookie mistake his master installer or 23 years had made by knocking out the existing window BEFORE verifying he had the correct size window to put in.We were reassured it would be taking care of to our satisfaction.In january,almost 2 months after this conversation the bill was mailed to us-including the stormdoor never even installed.Needless to say,we made yet another phone call.They deducted the stormdoor from the bill and were going to deduct $100 for the inconveniance for having plywood in the front window opening for 2 weeks.We are totally unsatisfied with the conduct of of everyone involved with Windsor company and will NOT recommend this company to anyone.Several things made us think,that these things could've been prevented by proper and professional conduct on part of employee's of Windsor company; 1) verify,that the product ordered is the correct size AND color; 2) when ordered product is delivered to the Windsor warehouse verify,that productis correct size AND color;3) contact customer for installation date and/or inform customer of ANY problem;4)when at the customers residence observe and follow the 8-step installation points PRINTED ON EVERY WINDOW AND DOOR;5)compansate the customer for your companies preventable shortcomings and mistakes.

The garage door, we wanted it to match the siding that was already on the house and to match the garage door that had worn out. It needed to be replaced and they did that. The first one they sent out did not match perfectly. They took it back off and remade it. I like their quality of work. They’ve been very helpful in the office and out in the field. They didn’t do it right and they corrected it.

The receptionist greeted me with a sincere Oklahoma welcome and listened to my needs before promptly requesting the strut. While the strut was being cut, I spoke with Jerry regarding additional needs and potential solutions. Jerry is very knowledgeable and yet easy to interact with - a credit to his profession. In short, knowledgeable/capable people with a great attitude. I will return for all my related needs.

We contacted All-Metro Overhead Door Service for a price quote over the phone for a new garage door opener. Everyone in this area seems to Highly recommend, sell and install the Liftmaster brand of door openers. We were installing it on a rental property so we were basically looking for a good low-end model without a lot of extra bells and whistles. When it came down to it we chose the model 3255 and wanted to have 2 remote controls and a doorbell switch opener at the rear entrance to the garage. We did not need a punch code pad etc, so basically it came to price and date of install. They were very professional on the phone and answered all of our questions quickly. We were also told by our tenants, the were very professional, on time and did an excellent job. They could of not asked for any better service. Although at first our decision was made solely only price, it appears as if we made an excellent choice. Their price was not the overall best at first, however they were advertising a $25.00 off coupon which brought them significantly below the other garage door sales companies in the area. We are very pleased with the service they provided to us and our tenants and would not hesitate to have them install a unit in our home. I would recommend them to anyone needing rhe types of services they offer.

Overall I am quite satisfied. There were a few, small problems; wrong remotes, weatherstripping was put on in the usual way -- which didn't work for our application. But, they came back out in a timely fashion and all the problems were solved in the end. I will will call them the next time I need garage doors.

All work was performed by Robert Taylor of the company. He started approximately 1/23/13 and finished 2/14/13. He was always on time and did an excellent job. I'm very satisfied with my experience with Windsor.

Windsor Door Siding & Window did the work for a reasonable price. They did exactly what they said they would do. The quality of work was excellent. My husband is very picky and they had to hand make this door, in fact they had to hand make it twice. It looks very good and we're happy with it. Both the guys that came out, Mo was the guy that gave us the quote, he was very helpful, knowledgeable. And the guys that came and put up the door twice were also.

They have serviced our home since 1978. They are very familiar with our house and I am comfortable with them.

I purchased a garage door opener from Home Depot, and they use Windsor Door Co to install their openers. They called and made an appointment time, and did show up when they were suppose to but took several hours to put it in, then told me they were missing some of the parts and would have to go to their warehouse to get them and come back that evening to finish. I said that was fine, and they did come back and finish that day, but it only worked for about a week, and stopped. I called them back and told them the story and they said they would come back but they weren't very nice about it. This made me wonder what was going on. So, I started looking into it, and found out, that they put a used opener up, that Home Depot ships them the openers when they are bought, but they said they had one in stock so they could come and do mine earlier, then when they got the one I bought, they had a new opener. I found some of this out on my own, but the men they sent to work on it told me that they did this alot, so I called the owner back and told him to come and get this used one and install the new one that I had bought. He told me to go to h*** and hung up on me, which was really surprising since I caught him committing fraud. I then called Home Depot and reported what I had found out, and they finally handled it and got someone else here to take care of it, and they said they would never use Windsor again. They also said that they had had several complaints about them, so this was enough.

No problems! Prompt, courtious, excellent follow up, great customer service!

Windsor was able to have someone come out the next day and give us 2 new remotes, sync our car automatic remote and provide a check-up on the automatic garage door opener. They were fast and professional. I would use them again.

The garage door is working perfectly! They charged reasonable rates. I would highly recommend them.
