TOTAL ROOFING

Description of Work: This company came to my home unsolicited and asked to check out my roof. Of course I obliged. I was told that I would need a total replacement and I was pressured to start the process. In the middle of speaking with Mr. Martin, my husband arrived home and he looked at me and said "is he going to be upset that we are taking?" Very derogatory that I, as a woman, and the home owner would need my husbands permission. I also thought why would he be mad unless you're trying to scam me? I was encouraged to call my insurance company and start the process, and to let Mr. Martin know when they would be out so he could meet with the adjuster. He did not respond to two messages telling him when the adjuster would be at the home. Before I was able to contact the adjuster, I was called by the company stating they were ready to start work and had ordered materials for a start date of the upcoming weekend. (I had not chosen any colors or materials). I declined that appointment as the insurance co song had not been out. Once the adjuster did come out, it was found that there were two very minor spots on the roof that can be sealed...only if I really felt I needed to at this moment, but that there are years left on my roof. TRS was fast-talking, fast-moving, and I felt like they were trying to scam me out of money since they wanted to start before all the steps had been taken. I still have not had a response from this company since the date I said they could not start on the roof in two days.

Description of Work: This roofing company was amazing, and really fought for me when it came to my insurance company not wanting to pay as much as they should on the claim. They were there every step of the way from talking to my claim adjuster on the phone to being there in person to meet with them. If I had to 'complain' about anything, it's that they arrived earlier than expected to start the job, but they also finished hours earlier than expected as well. Everything was cleaned up, and not a trace of them was left on my property. It was hard work, I know, because of the type of roof I had and the type of roof I wanted, but they got it done and I couldn't be happier.
