If you need a good plumber - go to Tipton"s plumbing. Very responsive and came and replaced my water heater when he said he would. Zach is a hard working man and I appreciated his service. Don"t let this one get away. This waws on a Sunday afternoon and he is appreciated greatly

Thought the price was high, fixed as they went along

Fast. Friendly. Price was a little high but with a busted pipe in my ceiling I had no choice.

He called before he came, showed up, got the work done in a timely fashion. No complaints. I would use him again.

I believe I was lied to so that I would agree to a higher quote. I was quoted a very high price for the repairs. I was told that "the parts are expensive.". He also said "There a bunch of little parts in there so I have to replace the entire cartridge." I agreed to the price based on those, and a few other, statements. When the work was done I asked for the parts that were replaced. There was one and the highest price I found was ~$75 on the Mohen site. I contacted Tipton's about this and was never given an answer to my question of what parts where so expensive to warrant the cost. Below is part email exchange we had (limited by this posts character cap). -----ME---- That is what I thought. So the quote was to replace the Moen cartridge. And no matter how long it took it would only be what was quoted. I assume that the quote did not include any other things like if the pipes leaked after turning on the water or if the shutoff valve broke and could not be turned on etc. It was only to replace the Moen cartridge. With that cleared up the repairman made the quote and, when I physically balked, said the parts are expensive. I agreed to the price only because I trusted him when he said the parts are expensive. What parts was I charged for and how much did each part cost? I only saw one part and even retail directly from Moen it is around $75. Looking at it I can't imagine any repairman would reasonably expect that repair to require more parts than it did. So what parts was he talking about when he said they are expensive? If that was the only part needed do you think it is fair for the repairman to tell the customer that the parts are expensive when, in fact, they are not and the repairman knows they are not? Don't you think that telling the customer that the parts are expensive: A. Sets the expectation that there are multiple parts needed and that usually means the job is more complicated. B. That the part(s) are in fact expensive and a significant part of the quote? (Or flat fee or whatever you call it.) -----Tipton's---- Per job,every repair is case by case. We do not have setprice intil the plumber writes the contract of work! -------- ME -------- When you say "Flat Rate" do you mean you charge every person $476 for every job? Or do you mean you charge $476 for replacing bath/shower faucet cartridges (that is what he called it) regardless of what type/location of faucet cartridge? -----Tipton's---- Its flat rate,one price up-front. Ther is no confusion what so ever. If the tech wpuld have spent all day we still would not have charged anymore. Im sorry the cost of doing business is not cheap in the worl we live in today!! Work was finished in half an hour cleaned up afterward. The tech was very nice and neat. For the work that was done (resealing faucet) I thought it was overpriced

Cost on the high side but prompt and the Friday before Christmas and bad weather quoted high price but when finished actual cost lower. Job had to be done if not on bind I would have shopped around. Thank God seriously they took over $100 off quoted price Quote $583 Cost $451. Had previous quote 1-1 1/2 yrs ago for $186 Plumber was on site doing other work he checked out said total reinstall plus concrete work Did frantically Google cost plus call another plumber quoted high side up to $450. But like I said had to be done could not wait so U was going to pay the $583 But God stepped in not a Good time for a very expensive job right around holidays. Company very responsive on time and courteous. THANK GUYS $451 and no burst pipe. Thanks again they will be on my call list but will price around. Merry Christmas

Well no way it should not have been 3000.00 to do the job no idemised statement to show that amount . They cut a whole in my wall and said they make the mess and I clean it up and fix it myself . So 3000.00 Dollars is a bit much for what they did

I was contacted by Tipton's within an hour of posting on Home Advisor, and their repairman was at our house within an hour after that -- and was finished with the job less than an hour later.

Quick efficient service

Did what they said they were going to do and was right up front with the price. I did not give it 5 stars only because this is a rent house I own and would have a difficult time getting in but the renters were happy with the work.
