They came to my house on Saturday, 4/24/15 and gave me an estimate for mowing and trimming and a spring clean up of the back yard. A price was agreed upon and they said they would return mid morning Wednesday 4/29 to mow. They said they always call if there is some reason that they cannot keep the scheduled appointment. It is now 24 hours past mid morning Wednesday and I have not seen nor heard from them. I should have paid closer attention to all the "F" reviews on Angie's List.

I have been invoiced 5 times, but this company has only visited twice. The lawn does not meet my expectations for what I was hoping for from this company. I would appreciate a little more clarification regarding the billing and scheduling operations with this company.

This was the worst lawn service I have ever had. They left huge piles of cut grass in the yard every time they would mow. I had to hire another crew to clean up their mess they made of my yard. I would never hire this company again. In response to Star Landscaping's response, I have plenty of emailed invoices saying that I absolutely do have the correct company and was a customer of theirs. I am even more unimpressed that this company cannot stand up for a poor job they did. I do not leave negative responses unless they are warranted and this company absolutely deserves a poor review.

After dealing with a few scheduling problems, they arrived and began work. The repotting of the very large Palm went well. They then moved to a sloping / eroding area in my yard and built 5 tree wells around existing trees to help hold soil around the trees and reduce the erosion. The tree wells were built using stacked retaining wall / landscaping blocks. They were careful to be sure the blocks were level and well seated in the soil. They worked steadily and efficiently. The tree wells are beautiful and well thought out! I was very pleased with their work! Thanks Jenn and Jason!

They are friendly and fairly timely with replies, but sometimes when you try to communicate with them about exactly their services will be and when will they do weed type treatments you're not quite sure. They are not that responsive and you are not quite sure what you are going to get and when you're going to get it. At personal level they are very friendly and nice as regards communications promptly, but the actual nature of the service is sometimes you're not quite sure when you're going to get as far as weed treatments. They are pretty professional.

They do a very good job. Their pricing depends on the lawn and the size of the lawn. We have two houses and we pay $35 for one house and $45 for the other. It's a husband and wife team. They're very good.

Jenn and Jason were scheduled to do our landscaping on the 26th of April. They didn't show at the time I had anticipated and after talking to Jenn it was explained they were running late on a current job and wouldn't be able to get to us until the following Tuesday. I'm thinking and quot;Great. I've chosen a landscaping company that's going to jerk me around.and quot; WOW...was I ever wrong. Jenn, her son, and Jason (no subcontractors!!) showed up right on time on the rescheduled date. They were/are the consummate professionals. Our job wasn't especially grand in scale but we were treated as if we were spending tens of thousands of dollars. My wife has been known to kill plastic plants and I'm not much better when it comes to landscaping. They are extremely knowledgeable and took the time to educate us on proper maintenance and care of our new plants, for the present and future. HIGHLY recommended. Well done Star Landscaping! We will be using you again.

Well it's been 8 days - I've called and left two messages with no call back... I understand being busy, but I would suggest having a set time 2-3 times a week to return calls, even if to tell people you are just too busy.

I called and left a message 4/7/2014 at 1:11pm. I also sent a message via Angie's list a few minutes later. I received a call back at 5:26pm the same day. I explained I was looking for cost to do basic mowing and edging on a bi-weekly and possibly weekly basis. The lady said she could have someone come by within a couple of days and contact me with a quote. It is now 4/22/2014 and I did not receive a contact from the company. I decided to look elsewhere as a company is usually most responsive at the initial point-of-sale, and I was not satisfied with my first interaction.

Their work was fine but they were pretty expensive. They postpone once my son put stepping stones in. They just put the loose rocks around and it took them an hour and a half yet they charged me the full amount. They didn't get in touch or even to return a call.

Icontacted this company in March of 2013. They came out, very kind and understanding couple that understood our situation , looked at our area, went over some landscaping suggestions they had. From March through June the weather did not cooperate due to cool temps and torrential rain. So it was put off until June. I ASKED them if this was too late to plant fesue sod and they assured me it was not. They notified all of their customers in a massive text, it targeted their REGULAR customers they do mowing services for, that the tornado affected some of their childrens homes and would be behind in mowing schedules. COMPLETELY UNDERSTOOD AND SENT OUR CONDOLENCES..... But we did not get a text about our landscaping. After many texts to them from my end, we did not hear from them for almost 2 months. I have all emails to prove this. After many texts I sent to them later they finally made it out June 24 and did everything except remove a concrete block I had on my list. No biggie, I told them not to worry about it. I had waited long enough. I was concerned about some pieces of sod they laid because it was late in the season, laying over and very GRAYISH in color....I have pics of this. This was right AFTER they INSTALLED and before I started watering. They instructed me how to water and I stuck to these instructions. I sent them pics of it and told them my concern 2 days after. (They had told me they picked it up the day before, put in there trailer and watered down to keep it moist.) They pulled it up to house and left out front in their trailer for a day after already being in there the day before. Because they had other work they had to catch up on..... It was obvious not all the fescue sod was healthy after laid. I consulted other landscapers, had them come out and verify they did not install correctly and just laid on top of soil, that was hard as a rock after they told me they would till the hard soil, breaking it up and prep by putting down fertilizer to help with growth. I followed their watering instructions, keeping in mind the extra rain we were already getting and made sure the sod was moist but not soaked. The sod started turning the same color of the pieces they originally installed. I told Jennifer about it and she assured me they would make it right.....But also accusing me of OVERWATERING!!!! My last email from her was Nov 15, 2013 and she said they paid someone to come out and reseed but she never realized they never showed stating because I never notified them....WELL, I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED SOMEONE WAS SCHEDULED TO COME OUT AND RESEED AT THAT TIME!!!!! I gave this company ample time to make things right like they promised they would. This company is CLEARLY not a landscaping company. Knows NOTHING about laying sod and the time of year to do so after talking to many other landscapers. She did not follow through with making things right. So basically I feel we were given the run around due to them being so far from us in Yukon. If they did not want to drive this far out to take care of us, then they should have had the decency to turn down the job instead of wasting $1800 of our $$. My husband is severly disabled and I put all my trust into these people. They did not reflect in their work who they appeared to be when they were here. They may receive excellent reviews from people they do lawn work for in their area......but if you live more then 30 miles from this company, and SOD LAID, I recommend not using them.

The provider was very prompt and responsive. They did excellent work when the came to mow my lawn. I highly recommend their services.

Absolutely nothing. No free estimate. Wouldn't even talk if I didn't have acres of land. Very rude.

I've been using them for several months now. They communicate well which is very important to me. They come when they are supposed and let me know when the weather is too inclement for them to mow. This husband and wife team are personable yet professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

Have had them mowing my rental for a year now. They have done a good job.

We used Star Landscaping and I think they are on the list already. They're out every other Thursday, like twice a month. They do offer pre-emergent weed control but we didn't take it. They are reliable, they show up when they are supposed to show up, they do a decent job, We've got a big property and so they have lots of moving, they are always respectful. They close the gates and they don't let the dogs out and all that. I think they are competitive for the lawn care portion of it, they also do other things which I think is also competitive but their lawn care service was competitive. They had an issue beyond their control, I think their company was affected by the tornado so understandably they were out of the picture for a little while but they seem to be back on it and again they are just trying to get everything caught up and they've been great.

Waited approximately a week after attempting to contact via their website before attempting to call to discuss the project. I was able to reach Jennifer by phone, however, she was busy and failed to return my call as she said she would. Based on the reviews and her friendly demeanor on the phone I expected to at least be contacted back.

My wife and I have worked with Jennifer and Jason since early in 2013, when we first contacted them about regular lawn care and about landscaping my wife and I need to have done. They came to our house (in Norman), gave us an estimate for the regular lawn care (mowing and so forth every two weeks), and made several recommendations about landscaping. We signed on for regular lawn care, which they have done ever since. They are very competent and professional, and they work very hard. In over 30 years of living in Norman we've never had a better regular lawn service: Star is great. We were surprised at some of the negative reviews. This has been a very tough year for lots of us who live in or near Moore, which was hit by a terrible tornado in May, Norman, parts of which had serious hail and wind damage in large March, or the El Reno area, which was also affected by a severe storm. Star is a small company, and we think they have done a remarkable job of keeping up with their responsibilities under the circumstances. We have not been able to follow through on their landscaping recommendations and will be unable to until much later in the year, so we cannot comment except to say that their suggestions were very well informed and they have been willing to work with us as our plans have changed in light of circumstances. We're looking forward to working with them in the future and recommend them to others.

I called them three times before getting in touch with someone. The lady answered the phone in unprofessional way, laughing at me when I asked if I had the correct number. She told me they would have to see if they had time for me and that they would call me back. Never heard back. Very disappointed.

They took forever to get back to me. They never came out to look at my yard. They made two dates to come and understood why they didn't come the first time. They finally called and said they wouldn't be able to come out until middle of May. They said they were too busy. I would not call them again.

I called Jennifer and left a voicemail requesting a call back to discuss her company's availability to take on a new customer for lawn care services. After a couple days had passed with no return call, I called the other number provided by Angie's list and left a voicemail. Jennifer called back that evening and explained that she may have deleted my original voicemail from her visual voicemail, because she never saw my voicemail on her line. After reviewing her schedules, Jennifer advised that her company could not accept new customers in the NW area of OKC this year. Their schedule was full for my area.

Repsonded to intial inquiry and estimate promptly. Work was tidy and clean. Very pleased overall. Offers online payment and PayPal options. Would hire again.

They were very professional and worked hard all the time they were here.

The work went very well and very fast - all of it was done in a day. The end result increased the curb appeal of my house just in time to be put on the market.

Contact them since they have good Angie's List rating. While they did return my inital call and set up an appointment they never showed and did not call to cancel or reschedule. Not very impressed with their business sense.
