+ -1 moreThey cleaned the carpets just basically. I had to ask them to go over it again. I had another cleaner come in six months later and I couldn't believe the difference. Sears outsources their cleaning to whoever, so you don't know exactly who you're going to get.

Description of Work: Dryer repaired and washing machine checked. The service engineer arrived on time 8am (8am-12noon time frame) and took care of my Kenmore dryer problem. When I called the service center, I took a service agreement which meant that I have one year's warranty on parts and future problems. Given that the dryer was 5 1/2 years old and this was my first problem, I was happy with the agreement. I also had my washer (bought at the same time as the dryer) checked for an additional fee of $39.99. This worked out to be helpful, as I knew that I had a few problems with it and this confirmed that the pump was just about to go out. Although he didn't have the part with him, he was very professional and came back later in the day with the spare part which he fitted. The cost was reasonable. I now have two good reliable laundry machines.

+ -1 moreThey have good products and the sales people are really very nice. However, their management is bad. They can't get anything straight. I bought a $2900 worth lawn mower and the attachment was not right. I went through 17 phone calls before they finally got everything delivered three weeks after it was supposed to be done. All the problems traced to the management. They have a very poor business plan and they need to get their act in order because they have very good products and their sales people and service people are good. They are excellent to deal with. They are doing the best they can.
Description of Work: I used Sears for appliance repair. The repair was covered under the warranty. The washer's door gasket failed and they replaced it with no charge, argument, or difficulty.

+ -1 moreWorkers pointed out bathroom duct was leaking air and showed me a dirty A coil which they cleaned.
Description of Work: Arrived on time, called while in route. Walked through house reviewed work to be done. 3 hrs later work completed explained what they found in ducts went over air quality tips and necessity to Chang filters every 3 months. Cleaned up afterward.

I didn't purchase our dryer from Sears but they offered me an extended warranty over the phone when I was making the appt. for the service call. I purchased the warranty for less than $200. and my dryer was repaired at no additional charge. The parts alone would have been more than $350! I was very pleased with our service tech and would certainly do business with Sears again!
