Response from Ridgid Construction
It is unfortunate you are using Angie’s List to demean our company by misrepresenting facts. You initially stated that we performed services for you, which we didn’t, and that has been corrected by AL. As is evidenced by our many reviews on AL, we run a tight ship and do business with honesty and integrity. Had we actually done work for you, you would have seen the value we bring to the job just as our numerous customers have. Our Project Managers NEVER refuse to give an estimate. We do not, and never have, held ourselves up to be Public Adjusters. A Public Adjuster charges for their services (typically 15 - 20% of the total claim), we do not. Our goal is to assist our customers in getting their property restored to its original condition prior to being damaged. We inspect, diagram, document all that will be required (from a contractor’s viewpoint) to perform the necessary work, and offer to meet the insurance adjuster on site with our estimate of the work to be performed – not to negotiate, but to offer our insight as to what will be required. Being the ones who actually build the job, we know what is necessary to complete it. Generally speaking, insurance company adjusters are not contractors and actually appreciate our input and insight when doing their initial estimate for the insurance carrier. Our focus, when working with our customers, is to make the experience a better one by keeping them informed, providing quality workmanship, doing multiple trades to eliminate having to hire multiple contractors, and backing everything with our hassle-free warranty. We are a local company and take pride in our commitment to our customers. Note: For those potential customers reading this, we appreciate your reading this response. Please read our numerous reviews and/or contact us for a long list of references from customers we have actually done work for - you will then get an objection evaluation of what kind of company we are.
