PASILLAS-tree and lawn services

Mr. Pasillas was employed to perform three tasks. First, to repair the sprinkler system, and then to overseed the front lawn and lay sod in the back yard. Part way into the first task, this individual took partial payment for additional "materials" and subsequently abandoned the project, after damaging the sprinkler system and making it unusable. Specifically, he took a saw and cut out the back-flow valve, which was not defective or otherwise a problem; and then left several of the sprinkler heads out of alignment. The overseeding was marginally effective and no sod work was done at all. There has been no invoicing and no correspondence of any kind, beyond false promises. Another service provider has since investigated the damage and has made sufficient repairs to the system in order to condition it for the winter season. - It is unfortunate that instead of stepping forward and explaining himself, Mr. Pasillas has elected to turn this incident into a contest which appears to require additional litigation and the participation of other, more empowered authorities in order to be resolved. It is one thing for Mr. Pasillas to ignore me, but I believe it is altogether improper for him to defy the judgement of the district court. I cannot overemphasize strongly enough my recommendation that consumers NOT retain the services of this individual and that consumer advocate organizations such as Angie's List distance themselves from him as far and as fast as possible. He has demonstrated that, at best, he is incapable of performing the work he professes to do, and at worst he is a confidence "scam" artist. - If anyone has had the misfortune of dealing with Mr. Pasillas, I would welcome any pertinent comments in this forum as well.
