Orkin Pest Control

I was concerned after finding several black widows around my house that my newly walking baby would get bitten. After calling around for rates, Orkin had the best deal. On the phone I was told the first visit was $260 and then it would be $39 each time they came out after that; was told they came out QUARTERLY. Initial visit went well, the agent was kind and listened to our concerns and checked out our problem areas. We didn't see any more spiders. My rating is missing stars due to the fact that communication with this company is terrible! I was being charged monthly $39/mo, the first time I noticed the charge, no one had even come out to spray (I work from home). I guess they come out monthly which is not what I was told by the phone agent when getting a quote, this drastically increased the overall cost. They don't let us know before they come out. I never received a bill, contract, or email receipt until today. I couldn't even log in to my account online because I was never given my account #. Today an agent actually left us a paper invoice and I was able to cancel service. Again when I explained the error in communication, the phone agent who cancelled my service explained the payment and amount of time they come out differently. STEER CLEAR! And if you have to use them, GET A PAPER CONTRACT AND ACCOUNT NUMBER AT THE FIRST VISIT. Started in 09/2022 and cancelled 01/05/2023 cost us $494

We called Orkin's 800 number and talked to a representative about rat control. He was knowledgeable about the topic and set up an appointment. The appointment was missed, and the servicewoman called and said she couldn't find our house, was in the wrong town. She arrived later and thought we had a MOUSE problem,and said their Wildlife Division does extermination of rats. When we called on Monday Nov. 14 as suggested we had to leave a message; after two hours called again and was told they HAD NO OUTSIDE THE HOUSE services. We then called the 800 number who would not take the complaint and tried to route us back to local number, the people who had misled us fro. The beginning. Their national brand is taking a hit here locally, and they DO advertise locally that they deal with outdoor pests.

They are great, and I would never change who we use.

The service was excellent, initially. They did an outstanding job removing mice and roaches from the property. The problem came when I wanted to cancel services. They would come by and post a bill on my door - even after I started the contract by telling them to only come when the visit had been confirmed with me by phone! Then, when I wouldn't pay for these "services," they sent the bills to a collection agency! I had to write the Better Business Bureau to get it all straightened out!!! Finally, a manager in the local office got everything back in order. Their product is excellent, but the office staff is argumentative and nasty. The manager was excellent as well. I'd use them, but avoid as much contact as possible with the local staff.

They have been around forever. They do a good job. I have no issues with them.

I have had a very good experience with them. Anytime I need service like that, I always call Orkin.

The price was too high.

The service is fine. I have some issues with their billing and customer service. I have had some issues when them not taking the right amount from my account. It usually would take two or three phone calls to get this fixed.

We thought things were going pretty well until this last service. My wife happened to be home and the service tech never came into the backyard at all. They may well have sprayed the front yard but definitely not the back. When my wife called them they couldn't really care less. They offered to send the tech back out, but we refused. Instead we cancelled our service, if you can't trust them to do the service they contraced to do when you are there, you certainly can't trust them on their own.

I'm pretty happy with Orkin for the most part. My only problem was that when I tried to cancel, I had to write out a document and fax it to them to do it, even though I was no longer on contract. They do great work and are always very professional.

Orkin Exterminating did a great job. They took care of the pest problem quickly. I trust their experience, and haven't had any problems since I hired them. I am very satisfied with their work.

The first time Orkin Pest Control came out they were late, but since then it been good. They do a good job of explaining what needs to be done. They come out once a month and they call before coming out.

Orkin Pest Control was very professional. I felt they were very good at the job, and they did not pressure us into anything.

I've had a decent experience with Orkin. Since I hired them, I haven't had any problems with insects in the home, so I would say their service is effective. My only complaint is that they're often hard to get hold of, and I'd like to see them lower their prices.

I would say that Orkin is professional. They have always been friendly and courteous to me. I would recommend them.

We need to be present during the inspection and spraying. This is interior and exterior service. Orkin Pest Control does a pretty good job. The man that usually comes is really sweet.

I have been using Orkin Pest Control for over 10 years. They do a pretty good job. The only problem I have is when they come and spray outside, and I'm not home, so the inside doesn't get done. Then I refuse to pay. I want to be home, and they know that.

We are going to keep the contract we have with Orkin. They could improve on their punctuality. The service guys that are here are friendly.

I had Orkin Pest Control for about a year, but they were so undependable. They never kept their scheduled time or would come and do only the outside and still want their money. Then we wouldn't hear from them for a long time.

I am pleased with Orkin Pest Control. They have done an excellent job. I would recommend them and continue to use them.

Orkin does an excellent job. They are not punctual, however. They seem to not have enough people for the amount of work they schedule. But they do call if they will be late. They keep pests away, however, and I will not choose any company but Orkin.
