It has been a disaster trying to get Josh and John to honor their work. My driveway is peeling off. The sad part is had the owners responded last year when their product failed, it was a small problem. Now it's a big problem and I truly wish I had never trusted OKCicoat and Josh Richey in the first place. Customer service is a huge part of dealing with a company- all it took was to return phone calls, follow up, fix repairs and a good reputation could be maintained. OKC is not that big, word travels fast. I suggest this company learn the value of customer service instead of running from their mistakes. It's not that hard to be honest.
Description of Work: We requested our driveway and walkway stained. Josh Richey started the job and clearly didn't know what he was doing. my driveway looked ruined- stain was running, didn't match. It was awful. I asked him to stop until he could figure out how to make it right. Second owner of the company was called in, John, and we had to pay extra for plaster to cover up what Josh started. John's job looked great when he was finished and we were given a three year warranty. The next year, the plaster started to peel. I called and was told that they would come out and look at it. This is the second year and Josh Richey has not come out to repair it, nor will respond. i am filing a complaint with BBB. Josh has is still in Construction at Rader Building Company and I caution anyone in hiring any work that he does because it anything goes wrong, you can't trust him to honor the job. That is a huge part of hiring someone, trust that he will be honorable enough to take care of his commitment to his product.

Please never use Oklahoma Concrete Concepts, OKC ICoats, Josh Richey, or any company affiliated with these entities. The concrete work completed on my kitchen floor, laundry room and entry way was completely unacceptable and resulted in me laying porcelain tile back over painted/stained concrete that was completed by the Oklahoma Concrete Concepts... read more work on the floor, including laying two layers of concrete overlay both stained and sealed with a polyurethane clear coat top. After all of that time, the work was still not completed reasonably well. The group was unprofessional in their communication. The owner, Josh Richey, would not return phone calls, but would only return texts. During a period of waiting for an ordered polyurethane, no communication was given when it took almost 2 weeks longer than expected to receive the new ordered clear sealer. The communication was also dishonest. After the second layer of polyurethane was laid and did not come out acceptably Richey proclaimed that it was because he had bought it from another store and it was not of high quality. When I checked with that store, nothing had been purchased by his group from that store for over six months. Overall, the work done would have been great if it had not been for the terrible workmanship of the polyurethane layers. These layers ruined the floor both times they were laid. We tried to communicate, after the first time the floor was ruined, that the polyurethane need to be rolled on more slowly, but the advice was not heeded and we received the same results the 2nd time of a very bumpy kitchen floor mostly caused by air bubbles. I had other concrete contractors look at my floor and each said that it was a combination of Oklahoma Concrete Concepts not using the correct nap for the roller, not applying it slowly enough, and not applying it in a correct method. I initiated a contract to have my 215 sq. ft. kitchen floor to be worked on with a deposit of $625. The team began work that week with an initial layer of leveling concrete, one coat of concrete overlay, ICoat paint, and a polyurethane sealer. The result of this work was completely unacceptable due to the uneven bumps and bubbles in the floor. The solution proposed was to sand the floor and then relay the polyu. on top. The sanding of the sealer was not sufficiently completed and created white spots where the concrete was exposed. Richey agreed at that time that the work was not acceptable and agreed to start over that next week. The team started the process over. The polyurethane that was laid again was completely unacceptable. It was very bumpy and bubbly. Some of these were air bubbles and some of them were portions of debris left under the clear sealant. You could see some rough pieces of concrete and pieces of dirt and straw. However, the majority of the problems were the air bubbles. The texture of the floor was equivalent to the bottom of a swimming pool. I decided at that time that the team had two weeks to fix the problem in any way they saw fit. The only communication received for 2 weeks were a few text messages that were all responses to texts and phone calls from us. We finally tracked down Richey and made a verbal, in person agreement that a team member would return to my home to sand and reseal with polyurethane a small area to test whether or not this solution would work. After being 4 hours late, not calling, taking up the original concrete paint from sanding, attempting to fix with mismatched colors of paint, and applying polyurethane that still did not appear suitable, I decided to end my relationship with them. After an entire month, of waiting for my kitchen floor to be complete and usable and waiting over a week for a complete refund, I sent a letter to the OKC ICoats e-mail and to Mr. Richey on his phone requesting a refund of my $625 deposit. I have never received a dime back of my deposit.
Description of Work: We had stripped the kitchen floor down to the foundation. The group poured a layer of concrete, stained using their ICoat paint. They covered with polyurethane top coat, sanded that down due to bumps and issues with top coat. They repoured another layer of concrete, restained, and resealed it. Same issues with polyurethane top coat very bumpy and unacceptable. The overall problem was the application of the polyurethane sealant that absolutely could not be fixed. I had other contractors come to look at my floor to see if it could be fixed and they said not without starting over. Exhausted, we sanded and covered the floor with tile.

They had to skim the top layer of concrete off which means scrolling around with grinders. It took almost a week; it was a modest amount of work. They guy we worked with was called Glenn and he did an extremely good job. He has artistic temperament. He did a really good job and I would hesitate recommending him. The way to get along with him is to make your expectations clear and stay out of his way.
Description of Work: I used the services of Oklahoma Concrete Concepts LLC for servicing our pool décor and patio during early fall.

This experience was a disaster from start to finish. The start date was moved up, which I thought was great. Things started going wrong immediately. One man showed up late on Thursday to start the tear out. Friday, the same young man showed up, as did the owner. When I came home that night, he had torn out quite a bit of tile. He had not hung any plastic over the door ways, nor over any furniture. My entire house was covered with a thick layer of concrete dust. The house was completely unlivable. I called the owner immediately, and asked him why in the world when there are two doorways into the kitchen they had not sealed them to prevent this from happening. He apologized and assured me it would happen when they returned on Monday. Monday comes, no one shows up to work until late afternoon, and they leave shortly after arriving. No plastic was hung over the doorways. I call again. He again assures me the next day it will be done. I came home from work Tuesday at lunch to see if they had hung the plastic. There was two strips of plastic haphazardly hung over one door, with two to three inches showing on each side and down the middle. The other door had no plastic on it. After very strong words with the workers, and yet another call to the owner, the next day, day 5, they finally manage to cover the doors, but the tear out had been down, so it was too little to late. This was supposed to have been a four day project, and we are now on day 5, and the tear out has just been completed. Things went all right with the taping and laying of the concrete, and the color is beautiful. However, the baseboards are all going to have to be replaced, because they are covered in stain. They somehow even managed to get stain down the side of my upper cabinets. The edges of the floor are globs of concrete, and there is tape stuck in the grout lines where they could not get it to come up after the floor was done. The sealant, which was supposed to be a high gloss sealant, is only glossy in a few places, and the rest is flat. it looks awful, like there are wear patterns all over the place, but the floor is new. I have asked that they come put on a second coat of sealant, which I have since found out is customary, but at first the owner told me it couldn't be done. Now he is telling me he will, but I have to pay extra. I paid for a high gloss floor, and that is certainly not what I received. This company is a bunch of young kids who are very unprofessional. I would certainly not use them , nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. My 5 day project turned into almost two weeks. I have paid around $600 to have my furniture, oriental rugs and house cleaned to get rid of the concrete dust from not sealing off the doorways. The owner did suggest he would pay for the cleaning, but balked when I told him how much it was costing. He ended up giving me a $300 credit, which has covered one half. This is in addition to the 20+ hours I have spent scrubbing light fixtures, hardwood floors, etc., because that dust is so thick, it has to be scrubbed off with a scrub brush. It would have cost me a small fortune to have someone scrubbing on their hands and knees as I was for days.
Description of Work: I hired OKC iCoat, also DBA Concrete Concepts, to remove around 600 sq feet of tile in my kitchen, bath and laundry room, and replace it with a concrete floor stained, and stamped to look like brick.
