They had to first remove part of the existing pool where the expansion was to occur. They rented a bobcat with a jack hammer on it, & the 3rd day on the job a man shows up at my door threatening to put a construction lien on my house because the bobcat was to be paid for daily & there was no payment the last two days.
Once demolition was completed, the expanded area of the pool was formed. Two of the swim-outs that were supposed to be constructed in the east corners didn't get formed. They rented an air compressor & again someone shows up looking for it because payment hadn't been made.
It was now May, 2013, & at this point the pool was essentially intact. However, for several weeks nobody showed up, & it rained. Because of the enlarged area of dirt they had removed to get equipment in for demolition, the pool actually floated up several inches. This happened twice before anybody showed up again. We were obviously concerned about the integrity of the pool shell, so we had a reputable pool builder look at it. He felt that it was fine. We were now into June.
In July we had a huge rain, & the pool actually floated up over a foot in two corners. This busted out the decking & the plumbing & severely cracked the pool shell at the cold joint created by the expansion. Nobody had showed up for weeks despite numerous phone calls & text messages.
The entire process from March, 2013 when they started until last contact in July, 2013 was horrible. Aaron Garcia does not return phone calls or even text messages. He does not finish jobs. He is highly personable, but he is a con artist. We have since found out that he has done this to dozens of people. He starts jobs & never finishes them. He takes the draws up to the point where he can walk away before the job is done. Be aware that he also has numerous aliases: Aaron Venezuela & Aaron Hernandez are two that we discovered after-the-fact.
Due to the severe damage to our pool, we actually had to pay someone over $7,000 just to remove it before we could start over. His company is no longer in existence, but we have been told that he has started a new company.
