Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Oklahoma City

The same night around 8 oclock the entire house was once again backed up. I went outside and dug down to the tank and opened it up, needless to say no water was flowing into the tank. I ran a home auger up the pipe from the tank side and it only went about 16" before it was stopped. Going off the comment "I think you have a busted pipe" I began to dig up the pipe towards the house, at around 16" I found very wet soil and a pool of water and a shredded drain pipe. The next moring(Sunday the 22nd) I called Mr Rooter and explained the situation and was told I have to wait until Monday before they could schedule a different crew to come out and fix the issue. Needless to say we couldnt wait so I decided to fix it myself. I dug up the rest of the pipe and cut out the broken section. Upon inspection I found the blockage to be a wet dead squirrel (ya I know its funny). It was very obvious that the auger had broken/shredded the pipe and had began to consume the dead rodent (just leave it at that). The auger had essentianally reamed out a cavity in the dirt around the pipe and based on the saturationof the soil it was obvious thats where the water had drained into I once again called Mr Rooter and explained that they had not cleared the original blockage and that they had broken the pipe. I requested my money back as they had not fixed the problem. I was told I'd have to talk to owner on Monday. Monday morning the owner called me. I explained the situation, we laughed about the squirrel and when I requested my money back as they had not fixed the problem and he said "nope sorry I cant do that" . He stated he couldnt afford to give money back everytime something like this happened as he had wages to pay, trucks to run and fuel cost at 3.50 a gallon. I said I'd meet him half way and and we could split the difference. Again he said "No". He said "we can see into the ground how'd we know there was a squirrel in there and that the pipe probably would have to had been replaced anyway". I rebutted saying I understand that he had expenses and that's why I was willing to meet him halfway, again he said "no". I've used the guys in the past and always found them to be reasonable - but based on this incident I will not use them again. I was willing compromise on cost/refund based on the unsual circumstances and they were not. The facts are this: my drain was plugged, they did not fully resolve the situation. I would not have expected them to absorb the cost of replcaing the pipe or the labor involved and would have been willing to hire them to do the work if they would have been available. Instead I had to resolve the situation myself by clearing the blockage and fixing the pipe they shredded.

Overall the service was great.

Amazing service! Mr. Rooter has wonderful customer service, and we were pleased with the service from the initial phone call to the time they left our home. We had a major sewage back up in our home, called Mr. Rooter, and they came out 45 minutes later. They were quick, efficient and informative. They cleaned out the sewage line, giving us feedback on the amount of roots they found in our system. They kept things clean and gave us a 10% discount when the national coupon we gave them was not accepted. I hope I never need them again, but if we do, we will certainly be giving Mr Rooter a call!

We were experiencing gurgling in our commode and heater drain and eventual stoppage of our shower drain. The tech arrived exactly on time, diagnosed the problem, and repaired the problem. He even discovered a buried second drain outlet that had to be cleared and showed it to us for future reference. He removed roots from the drainage system and finished the work to our satisfaction

Total rip off from start to finish. These people have no regard for your time or your problem just your wallet.

Overall I was happy with the service. I was especially happy that this was done the day before Thanksgiving and I had ten pounds of potatoes to mash the next day. I really needed that faucet to work. It is nice now to have the water turn off and on so easily. I appreciated the senior discount also.

Everything was completed in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price.

A specific service tech, Larry, was highly recommended by a neighbor and we called and set up service for two slow drains to be cleaned out. After setting the appointment we decided to see if Angie had the company listed. Our neighbor had incorrectly told us that Larry's company name was Roto Rooter but she had given us the correct phone number for Mr Rooter. We were extremely apprehensive after reading some of the reviews for Roto Rooter but because the recommendation was so strong we did not cancel the appointment that was for the same day. When Larry arrived we realized his company was not Roto Rooter but was Mr Rooter and after Larry fixing our problems we were so glad that we hadn't canceled the service call. He totally lived up to our neighbor's recommendation. Our problems were very satisfactorily resolved and we, too, now highly recommend Larry as an individual technician and Mr Rooter as a company for drain cleaning and we plan to try them for some regular plumbing jobs at a later date.

Both bathrooms backed up into each other on a Sunday night. I called Mr.Rooters and they said they could come out first thing in the morning. They were here by 9am. They found we had a line that had a tree root blocking it in the back yard. They broke it up, finished the job, and were done by noon. They were amazing, knowledgable, professional, and the best price we ever paid a plumber. I was shocked that it was around $100 for all the work they did. I have been abused by plumbers in OKC before, so I was pretty nervous. A great company we will recommend to everyone!

Called Mr Rooter for a minor plumbing job on Saturday. Based on their website they have immediate response and are available 24/7. Was told by their receptionist that they have no plumbers on call for the weekend. Do not feel this lives up to what they proclaim on their website.

Receptionist is a bit feisty. She informed me that she would call me back and let me know when she was sending someone. After an hour without a return call I called her back and was hastily informed that she was now sending a plumber. When asked how long he would take to arrive she asked me "He is on NW 70th. How long do you think it will take?" Not the politest response. The plumber arrived within about 15 minutes of this second call. The plumber himself was courteous and efficient. He cleared my clogged drain and now I can do laundry without my toilet overflowing. Hopefully my drain problem has been resolved for the longterm.

I needed a plumber for the leak pipe in the kitchen, so I call around to check on the prices. The receptionist was really rude, she hang up on me when she realize that I was just calling to check on the prices. I guess you're not allowto do that anymore. Thanks to the receptionist, Rooter have lost a future customer.

It turned out well. He gave me options on how to save money on another project. He was prompt, on time, and professional. Upfront pricing which was nice.

My only complaint is that when I first called their dispatcher, it took a couple of hours for them to get back to me. I was hoping they would give me a better idea of when the plumber might be available. (just a ballpark estimate) Two hours is a long time to sit around and wait for a callback. However, once they called back, the plumber arrived about 40 min later, and fixed the problem in under 30 minutes from the time he arrived. He was professional and courteous, and gave me some good advice on how to avoid future plugs from occurring. He did NOT try to sell me any extra services I didn't need, like other service men have a tendency to do. He accepted a credit card for payment, and charged a very reasonable fee ($135). Overall, I was very satisfied and will use Mr. Rooter in the future.

I noticed one night that our bathtub drain pipe under our over-50-year-old house was leaking/pouring out drain water and that the copper shower pipe was leaking. I got on Angie's List and Mr. Rooter was highly recommended. CHRIS, the much reviewed and liked repairman, got to our house at approx. 11 a.m. that next day. In about 2 hours, Chris had the tub drain and shower piping repaired, tested and had even cleaned out the bath drain trap (FYI: drain cleaners don't eat hair). Chris was very professional, knowledgable, personnable and helpful. He explained what he was doing and why in a way that I could understand. I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter again for any plumbing repairs. I heart Chris.

We have always had great experience with Mr rooter, and specially terry. They are affordable, do the job, quickly, and I have good experiences with them.

We had a fantastic experience with this company. Our tech, Chris Y, was professional, friendly, and went above our expectations. In no way did we ever feel taken advantage of or charged more than we thought we should have.

Very courteous and professional. Came the same day I called them and had everything fixed within an hour. Shower works perfectly now. Would definitely call them again.

I like him because I have always had good luck with getting the drain unplugged with him. Everything was very good.

Amazing service and on a Sunday! My sinks, dishwasher, and washing machine all backed up and were overflowing. I called at 11:31am on a Sunday, Larry was at my door at 11:56am. He snaked the lines and double checked that sinks and appliances all drained properly. He walked out my front door at 12:31- exactly one hour from the time I called. I thought the price was more than fair and really expected to pay at least twice as much for weekend service. Highly recommend

I called on a Wednesday for an appt the following week. Even so, they were an hour and a half late for the 10am appt. The plumber was efficient and very fast. He accomplished 3 tasks (connect water line to fridge, repair outside faucet, and check a toilet) in about 45 minutes. Overall, I would use them again.

We had them come out to perform an estimate on our plumbing problems. They found they were unable to perform the job at hand and made the proper recommendation. They did not charge us for them to come out. They were very professional and courteous. They acknowledged their limitations and were able to give us the name of another company to perform the work.

I had actually scheduled the appointment on Saturday for them to come out the day after Memorial Day (Tuesday). I called to confirm about 30 minutes before they were originally supposed to show up. There was no record of the appointment being set up. The gentleman I spoke with however had them rush to come out within the same time frame as orignally set up. The workers came out and did a quick and professional job. I am pleased with the services from this company.
