This company is scamming Metro Appliances & More. They are not affiliated with them whatsoever but try to play it off like they are, especially taking advantage of elderly people that do not know the difference. It took their service guy one hour to figure out how to level a refrigerator & then charged a 72 year old woman $140 for a service call. Something that the actual appliance store would have came and fixed for free.

I first contacted Metro Appliance Service in May of 2022 for a repair on my refrigerator. The repairman, Lynn, stated that I needed to replace the compressor, evaporator, and heat transfer. He supposedly replaced all 3 parts but within 2 weeks of May 19, 2022, he had to return 4 more times because the freon kept leaking out from the terrible welds he made. In September of 2023, the fridge stopped working again so I contacted Lynn for repair once again. This time, he cleaned the coils and charged me $539 for an "injector kit." This, injector kit part doesn't exist. He also cleaned and charged me for my ice machine, which is a separate appliance, that I did not ask him to touch. He charged me $180 for cleaning the coils on the freezer, also a separate appliance, $180 for cleaning the coils on the refrigerator, and $140 for the ice machine. The total for everything that day was $1200. I did not get a receipt. Within 24 hours, the freon had leaked out again and once again, I was left without a working refrigerator. I contacted the owner of Metro Appliance Service, told him my issues and concerns of feeling that I was overcharged and felt taken advantage of. I told him Lynn cleaned the coils on my ice machine and freezer without asking me if I wanted him to nor explained to me how much it would cost. The owner called me a liar and said Lynn would never do such a thing. I found someone else to repair my refrigerator. This repairman brought to my attention that the evaporator that I had paid $700 the previous year had never been replaced. I had purchased a new one because Lynn told me that's what was leaking this time. I paid $120. I also learned the compressor that I was charged $1300 should not have been more than $500. This repairman also redid all of the welds that Lynn did because they were terrible. I feel that I have been overcharged in several ways and was treated like trash from the owner. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone for any type of service.

The machine was never fixed correctly've never dealt with a more unprofessional person than Matt. I just got off the phone with him and he is unable to have an adult conversation to fix a problem. He cussed at me, said my wife was insane and nuts, and screamed the whole time. When I asked him to move forward and stop talking about my wife he could not do it. He could not answer simple questions for me because of his behavior. I would like for the owner of the company to call me. Not only are we dissatisfied with the service, but I am offended at the way Matt deals with customers. He does not know how to behave like an adult male. He stated that he would refund my money, but we have charged it back because I cannot deal with his irate yelling and screaming at me when I was just asking a simple question. He cannot be dealt with in an adult manner. Should not be working in the service industry. He told my wife to **** off and said he didn't give a **** if I charged back the charges or gave him bad reviews. Congratulations Matt, I have done both. Sorry you didn't care.

i have never dealt with a customer like this in the 32 years i have been at this company they say the customer is always right well in this case they could never be more wrong, we offered a COMPLETE REFUND OF THERE MONEY and that was not good enough Mrs.[Member Name Removed] proceed to call here every five minutes making outlandish demands and harassing the office staff for 5 hours and we are giving them a complete refund after a repair we did 2 months ago ( i think that was fair) they had a new problem come up and she assumed and proceed to tell us what our warranty policy should be, some people you just can not please no matter what you do nothing is good enough for them. And it is true that my manager lost his cool but Mrs. [Member Name Removed] kept harassing my office staff so i stand behind his judgement

All I wanted to know is if the repairman was running late, or whether he was not coming at all......I simply wanted to know if I should call another company or not and then go on and spend my Saturday doing something other than waiting for a repairman that is not planning on showing up. I don't really ask for much at all, and if they had called and said "hey, we are really running late or there is an emergency and we can't make it" ........no big deal, then I know and can make my decision from there. But I would like to warn anyone who plans on calling this company and expecting to be dealing with a professional.......forget it! On my third phone call back to Metro Appliance Repair at 405-692-4477, the so called "service tech", this guy was so totally rude and unprofessional! When I told him I just needed to know if the repairman was coming or not......his useless answer was "I don't know, I'm not your service tech. So I asked him, well, do you know who is? He said "Len" , and then there is just silence, and more silence. I go on to ask " and so, how do I find out if he is coming or not"? He says, well I give him your number, I said, he should already have our number, but we have had no call. He says, well maybe he had a family emergency. I say, that's fine but shouldn't someone have called and told us? He says, well a family emergency is way more important than your dryer (true enough, but I still believe he could have had someone call us and cancel), this rude idiot goes on a rant of yelling and rudeness, that you would not believe. His last statement was "they don't need our business", so remember everyone if you need an appliance repairman.... personally I would rather have a company that wants business and if they can't make an appointment, a professional company will be apologetic, respectful and call to cancel if they can't make it. Am I wrong or is that really too much to ask? I have never been one of these customers that don't understand that sometimes service people can have a job that may take longer than expected which will cause them to run late for their next appointment, or they have something come up where they can't come that day.....but when people take time off work or other things to wait on a repairmen that never calls to let you know, then my patience does run thin. I would still be waiting for a call at this moment if I had not been the persistent one on calling them. Anyway, I have another company coming out on Tuesday and hopefully they will want my business and show up.
Description of Work: We called this company on August 10, 2012 and then we were given an appointment of between 9am - 11am on Saturday, August 11, 2012. I put aside time specifically for my dryer to be repaired. However, for some reason who knows why, this company doesn't seem to have enough professionalism to simply call the customer and either let them know they can't make the appointment or they are going to be very late. I didn't even start calling them until noon. Their voicemail says they will call back usually within 10 - 15 minutes.......never a phone call back.
