Jeff Mason provided us with a free consultation and he was very professional and offered reasonable pricing. Although his quote was not the lowest of the contractors we met with, we chose Jeff due to his years of service in the field and his quick availability for the installation. Jeff told us he did not perform the work but he would be responsible for letting his workers in our home while we were at work. Although we were initially satisfied with his work, we found several areas where the tile was laid crooked. In addition, The tile had very sharp edges where it met with the already laid tile in our kitchen. I took pictures of this as we have a baby who we were worried would get cut on the edges of the tile. We also found what I think is a spacer that was grouted over and has a sharp peak stickoing out and above the tile that has already cut my foot. My husband pointed out these issues to Jeff. We got the impression that Jeff was not even at our home when his workers installed the tile not to mention when we came home the first day of the install, there were two men who barely spoke English in our home but no Jeff. Jeff told us he would order a piece for the transition from the living room tile to the kitchen and he would come back to install it. After several weeks had passed with no contact from Jeff, my husband contacted. Jeff said he would be in our area and install the piece on either Weds or Thurs (9/20 or 9/22) and asked us to leave a key for him. He never showed up either day and did not contact us. My husband contacted Jeff upset that we left our house key outside for him and he never showed up and Jeff said he would come by that Friday (9/22). Jeff never showed up nor contacted us. We have not heard back since. We paid Jeff for his services which cost more than the actual cost of the tile and grout and now we are going to have to pay someone else to fix his “work”. I would never hire Jeff Mason or recommend him ever again. Sadly, he even used pictures of his work in our living room on his Facebook page. He should be ashamed of his poor business.
