+ 0 moreLowes were on time and the carpet looked really good. It has been a couple of years, like two summers ago. I would say it was $3000 or something. The price was good. The quality was good.
Description of Work: Lowes sold carpet. We purchased carpet from them and they installed it. Everything was just great.

+ 0 moreWe had an estimate done for carpet for the whole house. The estimator did not tell us the measurement and said for us to go to Lowes and pick out the product. When we went to do that they told us the measurement for the carpet was 1274 sq ft. (I think that is right. I did not write it down and keep it). We had carpet installed in the past and it was 1125 sq ft. I told the saleslady this and she did not offer to send someone out again and remeasure or anything. I told her we were going to get another estimate and she said ok. We went back to the same place we had gotten the 1125 sq ft measurement and they used that measurement and sold us carpet and nstalled it. We saved $880.00 by going to another store. We have used Lowes for other home improvement projects and been pleased but we would probably not buy carpet there again.
Description of Work: Gave an estimate for installing carpet. charged $35.00. This cost would go toward the carpet if we had it installed.

+ -1 moreGet a professional fencing company basically you get what you pay for the vinyl fence panels and poles installed with cement and a strong inner pole are great. If the fence set requires brackets to hold it up don't mess with it. I'm not sure if the company who provides the fencing and assembly pieces are Lowes choice or the fencing manufacturer but it does not work for Oklahoma maybe someplace that has no wind but not Oklahoma. Also when I called a real fencing contractor about repairs and they asked where I got it when I said Lowes you could almost hear a groan from the other end. Now I have to redo the fence if I want to have it stay up which will cost a lot more. The warranty is only for a year so if you do get one make sure its during the windy period. For Oklahoma I advise using a local contractor who knows what will and won't withstand the Oklahoma breezes.
Description of Work: I bought a vinyl fence the fence itself IE: the vinyl is fine but the way it is put together is not good for Oklahoma winds we are constantly repairing a very expensive fence because the brackets that hold it break from winds under 30 mph usually the top area entailing a convoluted way of trying to repair. If the brackets were made of better material instead of a very weak aluminum (I can bend it in my hand) the fence would be fine. Also the gate hardware is abysmal the latch set is also very weak aluminum and bends easily a cheap swing set is stronger than the parts they used on this fence. The delivery was ill coordinated and the contractor they used had a hard time finding out when the items would be in. The vinyl part of the fence is fine but the hardware to keep it together is a joke save yourself a ton of money and don't buy anything from Lowes or another home improvement center since they sell the same thing. Find a local contractor who does the fence that is interlocking. and more stable requiring no repair if a slight Oklahoma breeze rolls in.

+ -1 moreI had a bit of a misunderstanding on the price of my windows with Lowes. One person said it was one price and another person said it was more because they were specialty windows. They did find a damaged seal and instead of hiding it from me they replaced it.
