It was a free estimate. I liked the demeanor, honesty, creativity and the communication skills of the guy who came out.

There were major communication problems from the beginning. It was a design build type contract and the details were fuzzy. I had asked to quote mid range fixtures, but when we signed the contract we said that it was total was below our budget and we would want to upgrade some items, which we would pay for. He was supposed to be there when I got home from work the first day, and I went straight home, even though I had errands to run, but he wasn't there. He was there the second day. I said I didn't mind that he did other things, but to let me know that he wasn't waiting for me so that I wouldn't rush straight home. He never did and I stopped worrying about it. if I had errands to run, I did. He tried to change the basic bathroom layout and I didn't like what he proposed and told him. He later took offense and accused me of changing my mind when I was discussing the pros and cons of another change he suggested. I told him to do it the way it was drawn. He was supposed to be done by Christmas and we are no where near done. Before Christmas we said that we would be going on vacation and he said he would be breaking into the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom and do the electrical for both rooms. We cleaned out most of the bedroom, he said we could leave the bed and he would move it out and back and we gave him another installment. He didn't do much while we were gone, but we had what I thought were a few good discussions the weekend of Jan 15, picking out fixtures and we even went down to the tile store to pick out trim tile. We had picked out the base tile several weeks earlier, he didn't particularly like the accent tile my husband chose, but I thought he was going to make it work with the additional trim tile. The next week I sent him a few e-mails, the first about the tub fixture, the second was proposing that I pay directly for corian countertops and order the toilet online, since both of these were upgrades, and the money that he was going to spend on those items be applied to the faucet upgrades. He did not respond. He did not answer any of my calls or e-mails since then. We went through two snowstorms and I didn't expect him to do much work during that time, but I did expect him to contact me. We got a hold of the plumber who requested the plumbing inspection and he said that Lewis Taylor was mad at me for trying to be the contractor and wasn't coming back. My husband left him several more messages and he has not even bothered to tell us he quit working. The plumber tried to mediate for us but finally told us that Lewis would not talk to us.

Did excellent job and at reasonable price.

He does good work at a reasonable price. He and his crew clean up well and show up on time.
