Jeromy Carter Roofing

This is the second house that I've used Jeromy Carter's service for. The other home was our rent house and this was our family home. In each situation, he was extremely responsive, and he explained all of the challenges and made professional recommendations, and even advised us about additional savings that we could possibly recoup from our insurance company. Above all, Jeromy is extremely honest. I trust the quality of his service and really appreciate how up-front he is about his recommendations and thorough explanations of all of the various technical features. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

Called and left message about needing roof repair. I never received a call back.

I was really happy with the work that was done.

He came out and fixed the issue. He was on time and when I called him back, he said that he could help. When I asked for an estimate, he just told me that he would do it free of charge. He's a nice young man.

Called him. He answered and came soon to look at our house. He was on time, sitting in his car in front of the house; He came to the door about 15 minutes later. He found the problems (where our roof was leaking), and showed us pictures. He called us a day or two later with the estimate. He said it was 1100 bucks. He came the next day after we said OK. He did not do the job since he came alone, and forgot a tool. He came the next day with a partner and finished the job in about 5 hours, where lunch was probably included in that time. He mentioned it was a lot of work, when I saw him on the roof when I came home from work. I knew it did not take that much work since my wife told me what time he started. He knew I did not think it was a lot of time/work. I had complained about the price when he first gave the estimate, and possibly several times after that. When he finished the job, he reduced the initial price by 100 dollars. The new material used on the vertical parts of the roof does not match the original material, which is also on the front of the house. He did say that the original material was prone to leaking. Anyway, it was done very quickly, even though he came from far away. After several months, everything is still fine. I think no shingles were replaced.

They worked with us nicely to the finish.

The work was done on time, plus extra work was completed and my roof is in excellent condition. I have had many roofing experiences over the years and this was the best work quality. Most people that do any type of home repair work do not take time to explain what they are doing or offer advice but Jeromy did both. Highly recommend his work.

Jeromy came out and we told him we needed the starter strip replaced, which Acumen's men had improperly installed, and the shingles repaired where the nails weren't properly driven in, and also replace shingles that had broken off. We were having a difficult time getting any roofing company to commit to giving us a bid to do the repairs. Jeromy seemed like he had a lot of experience and could find all the problems and get the job done. He told us he could make the repairs, but it might be some work and that he would be back when he had time to check it out better and give us an estimate, but he never came back or called. It would have been nice if he would have called back to say he wasn't willing to do the job.

I initially had a good impression of Jeromy Carter roofing. When i first called, Jeromy answered and set up a time to come to my house, which ended up being the next day. He met with my husband and I and we discussed replacing my roof. He seemed very nice and professional at the time. He said he would send me an estimate the next day. Within a couple of days i got the estimate and the price was good for us so we told him to sign us up. He seemed to think they could start working on my house soon. I figured soon meant a few days or a week. A few weeks passed, no calls or emails. I called to check when they were going to start since my roof was leaking and every time it rains it soaks my carpet and walls. I couldn't reach him by phone so i left a message. Later i get an email saying it will be about 8 working days until they can start. Again, that was fine with us as long as they could get us in within 8 days. After two more weeks and a heavy rainstorm, needless to say i was frustrated. The water damage inside of my house is worse now because it has been over a month and still no roofers have set foot on my property. I tried over and over again to call Jeromy to see what was holding them up. I left multiple messages. He never returned a single call. I probably called every day for a week. Finally, he answered the phone ( I think on accident) and before i could even say anything he said "i'll have to call you back". In which he never did call back. I called about two more times after that and left 2 more messages, one saying if he cannot return my phone calls in a timely manner then I'll have to find someone else for the job. Keep in mind, I spent a month and half waiting for them to come or even call to let me know what is going on. I am very upset with how Jeromy decided to treat us in the end. Very unprofessional. I hope no one else has the bad experience that we did.

Jeromy Carter Roofing was selected after doing a survey of, and meetings with, various recommended roofing contractors, including some of those listed on Angie's List. Jeromy was friendly, timely and responsive during the initial estimate stage and his price estimate proved to be slightly lower than his competitors. He did not play the game some of his competitors did, of asking for the insurance settlement amount (he never did ask and I never offered) and then offering to perform the work for that amount (although he was initially lower than that amount on a pure replacement basis). He stated that he and his company were hard working quality contractors and his price would be fair and the work of the best quality. They both were and Jeromy provided a detailed pre-construction written estimate, broken down by line items (# of squares, quality of liner, # and types of vents and guttering, magnetic clean up, etc.) for comparison, as opposed to some competitors lump sum "guestimates" of a one size/type fits all approach, and didn't really want to talk about the details. Additionally, prior to being selected, Jeromy was most helpful in satisfying the pre-approval requirements of the local Owner's Association under the applicable DCCRs. Also, as I learned more about the process, I wanted to upgrade from a pure replacement roof to a high impact roof with longer materials and labor warranties. Once again, although I had done my online homework and had a number of questions, Jeromy was very helpful in allowing me to make an informed decision. As the time came for the date of the scheduled work, Oklahoma was hit just one day before with another massive hail storm, creating timing problems for all roofing contractors in the area, resulting in a number of Jeromy's day laborers being hired away as out of state companies moved in. This resulted in a late start, extending a one day project into to two days; frankly communication about all of this could have been better, but all forgivable under the circumstances. One other matter, during the course of the work, it became obvious that two areas of the roof were sagging slightly. Jeromy, at his own expense brought in a roofing carpenter who rebraced those two portions of the roof. Jeromy has said that if any problems arise during the life of the roof that he will come out and fix it; I believe him. Jeromy is a second generation, but relatively small, company that does both commercial and residential work. Because of that, it is important to be clear with Jeromy in communications regarding scheduling. However, Jeromy clearly takes pride in his work and is very aware of and protective of his reputation, an admirable trait in today's sometimes "slacker" world. I will use Jeromy again.

Never showed up for meeting. Never returned phone call about not showing up for meeting.

I shopped around for a replacement of the flat roof on my house. Since the roof was worn out because of its age, rather than storm damage, I was paying for the job out of pocket, so price was important to me. I picked Jeromy Carter Roofing not only because his company provided the lowest quote, but Mr Carter also projected a lot of expertise when it came to dealing with a problem roof like mine. He showed up the day after I called him to request an estimate, and he contacted me the following day with the written estimate. This was more prompt attention than I got from the other contractors I contacted. When he provided the estimate, he explained that since he knew that I was paying out of pocket, he was willing to provide a lower quote in order to secure a job for later in the season. That conversation didn't include any time frame more specific than "a few weeks". Because of the substantial savings, and the fact that he had been prompt, and attentive. The delay ended up being about 2 1/2 months, which didn't meet my expectations. Once Mr. Carter finally contacted me to schedule the job, he told me that once we had a weather forecast with 4 or 5 days of no rain and low winds (because of the fact that the product being used on my roof goes on in huge sheets), he would get started with the job. About a week later, those conditions were met and he called me on Friday to let me know that they'd be starting on Monday. They showed up on time, the crew was engaged and productive, and I felt like they did an ok job with site cleanup. When Mr. Carter came by to collect payment, he was less happy with the site cleanup than I was, and he sent someone out right away to take care of the leftover issues. During the first big rain storm after the roof replacement, I checked carefully for leaks and found a small one. I emailed Mr. Carter about the leak late that night, and he was on site first thing the next morning to take care of it, and it hasn't leaked since. These guys know what they're doing, and they work hard to satisfy their customers, and if I had to contract another roofing job, this is the first call I'd make.

They did the work within a day. They did a good job. Their performance was good. They were same as everybody else was.

I contacted Jeromy to repair a leak in our roof and to evaluate our roof for hail damage. Jeromy was very responsive, easy to get in touch with on the phone and showed up when he said he would. He gave a honest evaluation of our roof and actually found several places that could be leaking. He fixed all the leaks for free. No Cost. He said that there was a little hail damage but not so much that the roof needed replaced. I would recommend Jeromy Roofing and was satisfied with the service they provided.

Jeromy showed up the next day to give me an estimate on a new roof. No high pressure sales, estimate was the lowest of 3 that I recieved. Quick response to call, impressed with his estimate, and his no high pressure sales.

Mr. Carter told me that the wear and tear on my roof was minimal and that if it was his personal roof he would not have the repairs done. It was a refreshing change of pace from the dozens of roofers who had visited my home after a hail storm.

I first contacted my insurance company after the damage. This is my first house and first time filing an insurance claim. I knew that I wanted to get at least 4-5 quotes. After the storm several companies/door knockers came around wanting to do an estimate. They wanted to see the insurance report which I did not have yet. Even if I did have the report I wasn't going to show it to them. I feel if a company is legit they should be able to estimate how much my roof will cost to repair regardless of how much my insurance is going to pay. So I decided to give Angie's List a look. After looking at Angie's List I contacted two companies. One being Jeromy Carters. The two companies that I contacted from AL ended up being the cheapest quotes. Jeromy's was actually the cheapest. I also knew that I wanted my roof to be hand nailed(which is all JC Inc does. The storm chaser companies were going to use nail guns. I actually called and talked to both companies from AL. Since this was my first house I learned a lesson about Replacement Cost Value (RCV) and Actual Cost Value (ACV). Needless to say you want RCV because if you have ACV the insurance company will depreciate your roof depending on how old it is. My old roof was five years old. I told this to Jeromy and he was able to help me out on the price of the roof a little more. He never asked to see the insurance report which I was impressed with. I am an honest person and I liked the fact he took my word for it. After I hired him to repair my roof, I decided I wanted my 6x6x6 shed next to my house re-done as well to match the house. He said he would take care of it at no extra cost. They were going to start the job on a friday but he called and said they got caught up on another job. He said they could start Saturday or Monday. Monday was fine with me especially since it has been unbearable hot lately. It took them probably a day longer to do the job than expected because of the heat. Jeromy apologized for it taking longer but it really didn't bother me because the heat has been beating roofers up. Clean up was ok. Found a few nails here and there. Overall it was a great job, done professionally and the roof looks great. Jeromy also said if there is a problem he will come fix it because he stands by his work. I hope this helps especially if someone is a first time home buyer like I am.

Jeromy Carter Roofing did an excellent job. I am sure I could have gotten a cheaper bid, but I wanted quality work. I was completely satisfied and would recommend Jeromy to others.

It was a wonderful experience. He was quick and cleaned up after himself. We plan to use him to replace our roof this month after this last round of terrible storms.

Jeromy personally came to the house and performed the estimate, explaining everything in detail. There were some areas attached to the roof that needed repair first so he got me in touch with a carpenter and followed up completely on their work before beginning with the roof repair itself. Although Jeromy was overseeing the project by calling me regularly to see how things were going, his brother-in-law, Tracy, was the acting foreman and always on site until the roof was completed. They brought a trash recepticle for the tear down, repaired some weak areas of the roof, and replaced the roof completely. Then removed all trash. The men were very respectful towards me and my house. I was very happy with the work done and would definitely use this company again. They were all very respectful and asked lots of question to make sure I was satisfied as the job progressed. The new roof is beautiful!

It is so refreshing to deal with someone who is honest, professional and provides service that is not overpriced. Mr Carter was always prompt and was very conscience about doing a professional job and customer satisfaction. He was right on time to look over our requirements. He went over our options and was very responsive to giving us the best bang for our buck and staying within the cost range we provided him. He provided a written estimate and stayed within that estimate upon completion. We have a flat roof and he explained the best materials for our situation. He was quick to answer any questions we had and always explained exactly what he was doing and why. He also reroofed our garden/storage house including new decking and had them both done in two working days. He cleaned up the old roofing and left the area as he found it. Mr Carter is very professional and concerned about customer satisfaction and guarantees his work. We are very pleased with every aspect of this job. I would definitely use him again if we ever have roofing needs.

They were very quick and professional. The entire job took less than 2 days and they completely cleaned up after the job was over. You couldn't even tell that they had been there. Except for, of course, the beautiful new roof. I would highly recommend Jeromy Carder to anyone with roofing needs.

Overall - completely satisfied that I was dealing with a professional and not a scam artist trying to put one over on a home owner or insurance company. Very helpful and professional inasmuch as he drove some distance to get here - free estimate and didn't act like it was a waste of his time or resources. Rather, responded to concerns and addressed them, even though there wouldn't be a paycheck at the end of the day. Again, with the attention given to my concerns, and knowing he wouldn't be doing any work at this time - his professional attitude at letting me know his services would not be required at this time was a huge positive for me. Let's face it - we are in a recession; people need to make money to pay bills and this was NOT what this appointment was about - it was about providing a customer service call - and done right.
