Description of Work: Repaired and checked heating and air conditioning. Put new switch and contacts in as well as transformer & capacitor. Freon was ok. Pitched service contract which I deemed to expensive. Fan would not turn off and kept running into the following day. Called them back and same service tech came back to check it out again. Adjusted whatever and have had no problems since. I don't know if I would use them again, that's the reason I didn't fill that question out.

Description of Work: We had a wonderful experience with Interstate Heating $ A/C, Inc. We used an Angie's big deal for the diagnostic we needed when our A/C stopped cooling. Alan was the technician who responded, and my husband and I were really grateful for his exceptional level of knowledge of the unit (and the many things that could have gone wrong) and the efficiency with which he assessed what the problem was. We weren't happy that the coil had failed and it would cost a bundle to fix, but we were convinced that Alan had properly diagnosed the issue and would get it fixed for us. He had the part back within about two days and the moment it arrived he drove out to install it for us. In addition to fixing the problem, he also did some rewiring for us that should prevent the coil from failing--or at least from failing as quickly--as it did this go-round. Alan and, in fact, all the folks with whom I had contact at Interstate Heating & A/C were warm, knowledgeable, and unfailingly considerate. We hope we don't have additional A/C (or heating) problems for a good long while, but when we do, we will call this company again without thinking twice. Terrific service.

Description of Work: Replaced furnace and air conditioner

Description of Work: I called them because my AC wasn't cooling the house. A rookie tech came out and said that everything was OK, the AC only needed some freon. I left couple days later for a week and when I came home the house was incredibly hot and the AC wasn't working at all. I call them and they sent out another tech - he told me that all the wires were to the AC were cut by the fan. It turned out that rookie tech didn't connect them to the cage but let them hanging and the rotating fan cut them. Because of this, several parts had to be replaced and the total cost was $700+. The experienced tech knew that this was a rookie mistake but they didn't offer any discount. Nor anybody called to check on how the work went nor they asked me their usual "how can I make you smile today". Everybody makes mistakes and a good company should be ready to pay for their own and not to defer the cost to its customers.

Description of Work: Third time they did not show up and did not have us on the schedule even though we set up the appointments with the office. The techs are great but the office staff cannot get their act together. I cannot take off work and no one show up. Will use another provider in the future.

Description of Work: This is a late review, so it should be taken with less regard. The service was minimal and I was told we did not need a charge. | |The reason for a F grade on professionalism was the technician's behavior. He was flirting while here, and although I ignored that, he later called my cell number and wanted to hook up. I did not provide my cell to him, he acquired it from the job ticket. Although I ignored the advance, it is disturbing that my number was used in this way.

Description of Work: Performed periodic service and a tune-up to my heating and air conditioning units. The service was done well, no complaints.
