Interstate Heating & Air Conditioning

Marc, a salesman, came by a few days later to discuss costs for repair or replacement of the system. I showed him the problem on the day it happened, and he figured out quickly what was wrong. He called the Interstate office and talked to the dispatch person to get me schedule for a "fix it" job as soon as possible. Chris came back about 48 hours later to fix the problem. It was a long day for him and I was at the tail end, but he was professional and courteous. He did a good job and did not charge me because it was Interstate's mistake that lead to the flooding of my furnace closet. (Thank goodness all that is in the garage and not inside my house.) Because of the response of Interstate and its rapid efforts to get the matter fixed, I still give it high marks. However, this was a tiny detail matter that made the difference between a flooded furnace closet and no flood. I expect attention to detail in all work with tradesmen, and was a tad disappointed, but the company's efforts to solve the problem, and Chris's good attitude when he came back to repair the problem, went a long way in restoring my confidence in Interstate. I will use this company again.

They are knowledgeable and professional.

They took great care to make the unit look nice from the outside, moving it closer to the house, so that the metal "return" was not so long and unattractive. They also poured a new concrete pad so that the new unit would sit a little higher. Every time they came into the house they wore shoe covers and they left the back yard looking as if nothing had taken place at all. All of our questions and concerns were answered with patience and courtesy. The saleman stopped by for quite a while during the installation and he was equally courteous and patient with all of our questions. Although this was an unexpected event, we did some shopping around and Interstate had the best price and by far the best payment plan of several other companies in the area. We are extremely pleased with Interstate Heating and Air and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Technician was at the house within 1 hour of calling the company. Discovered the furnace & A/C units were both running. Told us what was wrong and wht it would take to fix it......but no pressure to do it right then. Replaced the sensor that was shorting out, then checked the 2nd A/C & Heating units and asked if there were any "cold" spots in the winter or "hot" spots in the summer.......which there are. He investigated and found the ducts in the attic were undersized. Recommended we up grade those whenever we replace A/C units or furnaces. Very polite, made recommedations for improving things in the future, but did not push us to do it quickly. Repaired only what needed to be repaired to fix the heating problem. Will definitely call them as our primary Heating & A/C choice from now on.

The initial visit was great, very professional and well informed. The next visit was to perform maintenance. The furnace was malfunctioning, so the tech recommended I replace it or replace costly parts. Since it was 19 years old and giving me problems during the last few years I decided to replace it. We scheduled a day for the replacement. On that day the technicians arrived on time and were very professional. They did drop my humidifier once during the installation, and forgot to secure it again before they left and it fell off again so they had to come back to secure it. Having it fall after they left startled me but when I called the company and they sent them back immediately. It appeared to be an honest mistake. The humidifier was slated to be replaced, and was not part of the job, so I really don't hold that against them. But if it was a new, or nearly new, item they would have likely damaged it, so they should probably be careful when they are handling equipment not related to their installation and belonging to their customers.

They responded quickly and were prompt to initial call. Installers were professional and courteous, on-time and work was completed quickly

My initial contact with Interstate to schedule an appointment was very cordial. I spoke with Angel, and she went over their service fees, and explained their service club membership and prices. When my appointment time arrived a few days later, Adam showed up on time and greeted me warmly. As I said above, he thoroughly inspected my whole heating system to ensure that it was performing as it should. Having just purchased our home, we were a little anxious about turning on the gas heat until we had it checked out to make sure there were no problems. I never felt that Adam was hurried in any way, and he patiently answered all of my questions. Also I wanted to say that it means a lot to me to be able to find a company that I feel I can trust -- as well as the service technicians that I am allowing into my home. I feel safer knowing that all of their employees have background checks, and that they are drug tested. Overall, I am more than satisfied with Interstate Heat & Air, and will highly recommend them to others.

The job went great. He was very helpful. He was here to make sure the A/C worked. He did not try to sell me extra stuff but provided information when I asked. He called before coming and was here when he said he would be.

Felt job was done in a very professional manner and very pleased with the service. Was given suggestions on how to continue to maintain our furnace and A/C to keep in good working order. Would definately use this company again come the springtime and have already recommended them to several of my neighbors. Thank to all the staff!!!

I was scheduled for a 1 pm service call, and they called to tell me he was running late, which was nice of them. They came out to do a tune up on my a/c heating package. It had not been done in 10 years and was quite dirty. He wore little booties over his shoes every time he entered my house. He showed me the inside of the unit and pointed out things that needed to be cleaned and suggested things that were in need of replacement. He was not in any hurry and answered all my questions, and even gave me helpful tips.He was very friendly and professional. I felt very at ease with him working for me, I would defintely use them again.

My A/C in a newly purchased place was so dirty that the freon circulation was freezing up. It just needed a good cleaning. $160 is too much to pay for somebody to hose off the unit. I wish I had taken a couple hours of my time to drive to this place and do it myself, at this price. Quality Heat and Air advertises the same service for $55!

I replaced my Heat and Air system on Aug.26,2010. The expertise,workmanship,efficiency,and courtesy that Interstate Heating and Air Conditioning demonstrated was a pleasant surprise that I was not used to. I would recommend Interstate Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone.

Great, service from the initial phone call though the repair. When I called to set an appointment, I was told they didn't have any one available that day and would need to make it a after 5:00pm service (which didn't cost any extra). I thought the time was perfect since I have a full time day job. When the tech arrived he was very professional and friendly. I told him the AC is not blowing cold and it's not froze up. He got right to work looking at the outside unit. After inspecting it he found that it was just extremely dirty. He removed the fan and throughly clean in from the inside out with the water hose. When we turned the AC on it was quickly blowing colder than it had in a long time. It was a simple fix but I'm grateful because he could have used the malfunction as an excuse to do a lot of expensive work I didn't need. Great service.

He was amazing and went above and beyond what was expected. Ask for MARK to be your service tech when you call. He also loved German Shepherd Dogs as do we.

Air conditioner broke on a Saturday evening. We called the company around 9 AM Sunday morning. By noon, the part was replaced and we were enjoying cool air again. Chris, the technician, was very personable and professional. We couldn't be happier with the service they provided.

Came Sat night 8pm, in a matter of min. he knew what the problem was (bad capacitor) and had me getting cool again shortly. I asked to sign up for the yearly service contract and by doing so my Visit Charge for the night dropped from $79. to $19. I have tried other service contracts in the past and none came close to the great deal this one is. check it out and see for yourself!! Service man very professional, even put on shoe covers when coming in house, he explained and showed me the parts inside the unit and outside the unit after he had pulled them out. My total for the night was all of $150. -- lets see you get that price out of any other company on a Sat. night!!!!

The guys from Interstate were fabulous. Their rep, Jamie came to our house on one of the hottest days in July to assess our air conditioning unit, which had been damaged by a hailstorm. He carefully laid out three options for us, with pricing. He was even knowledgeable about requirements for receiving tax credits on various kinds of equipment replacements. Interstate scheduled our job right away, and several days later Matt and Casey showed up at the house and got right to work. They both were very nice people who explained everything they were doing every step of the replacement. After they finished the installation, they completely cleaned up the small amount of debris generated by removal of the old unit. As it happens, we had recently had several lousy experiences with service techs on various other projects around the house. The folks at Interstate were a complete breath of fresh air and restored our confidence that there are sill companies out there that really do care about their customers and will go the extra mile to help them.

I chose Interstate by looking at their reviews. Needless to say, they exceeded my expectations. From them answering my first phone call, to the time I paid for the service, this was a positive experience. Never have I had a service company put protection covers over their shoes to come into my house! The technician (Mark) was just great! My wife also felt very comfortable, and that's HUGE! I emailed every single neighbor in my neighborhood about this great experience. I would definately use and recommend them again.

Actually fixed my A/C by cleaning it but also gave me some options if it didn't work. I was very pleased with Mark - his service was excellent and I didn't feel like he was trying to upsell me on anything I didn't need. I will use them for all of my heating and air needs in the future.

They were very eager to please, and always very professional. Mark, the initial sales person, knows his stuff and I greatly appreciated that he offered several different options of sizes, ratings, and prices. He educated me and let me choose what was best for my particular home. He even came to help the install crew. The office staff is extremely friendly, and the install crew worked very hard and went out of their way to make sure they did everything I wanted. It took longer than expected on that day, but overall was a good experience. They even financed my whole system at 0% interest. I would hire them again.

Mark was very efficient and made a point of explaining everything he was doing. Very knowledgable about heating & air systems, even checked the whole system while he was here. Even though he was running late, he took his time while he was here--never tried to rush through it. The office did call to tell me that he was running late which I appreciated.

I just received short notification that we'll be moving to another state. In the midst of prepping our house for sale, my wife calls me at work to inform me that the A/C is no longer blowing cool air. My first thought was that our 25-yr old unit had finally quit. I rushed home, tore apart the unit and cleaned much debris from the condenser unit and it still wasn't cooling down. We move around quite a lot due to my occupation, so it's hard to find and rely on solid service providers. I had heard of Angie's List before, so I took the plunge and signed up. This company was at the top of the list, so I called around 9:15pm expecting to have a hot and humid night's rest. Let me just say that as I type this at 10:15 pm I'm sitting in cool comfort once again! Caysie--thanks for taking the service call and doing an outstanding job! Very friendly, quickly diagnosed the problem, arrived earlier than expected (big plus) and got our A/C up and running again. Thanks again!

Set up appointment at my convenience. The phone representative was friendly and asked a lot of questions to set up the appointment for system evaluation and estimate. I was advised to allow at least 1? hours for the appointment. The original appointment needed to be rescheduled due to local area flooding. We rescheduled for the next day at my convenience. Mark arrive on time. I had almost a 2 page list of questions I needed answered. I had to ask each one, but Mark answered each one with confidence and accuracy. The compressor unit we were thinking about installing was too large for the area where the old unit was. The new one would have to be moved to the back of the house. This would require rewiring. Interstate included it in the total price which was about the same as the other company that had made it an additional item. On the scheduled installation date the electrician was the first to arrive. He went right to work moving the power supply to the new location. The work was fast, neat and complete. The two technicians, Matt and Casey, arrived on time. They evaluated the job then went right to work. Throughout the project they kept us informed of their progress and challenges. The technicians kept the work area neat. They were pleasant and very respectful of our daily routine. While cutting in the vents, efforts were made to minimize the mess. The clean up after was less than stellar. Considering the overall job, this issue is minor. The total job was to have taken two days. It took almost three. The existing returns were deemed to be sufficient and were to be reused on the new system. The returns were actually too small so new ones needed to be cut in and installed. We are very pleased with the quality of the workmanship and the product. It is nice to be cool again.

I was very impressed with the work and character of their employee. The price for coming out on Saturday was outstanding.

My experience was excellent. From the beginning when I got a quote (I got quotes from the top three from Angie's list in my area) and inspection to the completed job. Everyone I came in contact with were professional and courteous. Mark who did the estimate/quote listened to my needs and concerns and answered all my questions. He was the first one to bid. He told me about their several guarantees one being they would match any comparable bid. I agreed to give him a chance if some one did bid below him. His bid ended up in the middle. So when I called him and showed him the other bid that was lower he agreed to match it as he said he would. Very impressed with this! Chris and Matt who did the install were great. It ended up being not a typical install as they ran into problems with the duct work because of someone else's poor work. They tackled every problem head on and made sure I had what I needed to have my system installed correctly. My install probably took an extra 2 to 3 hours but Interstate and Mark stayed with the original quote. I was so impressed that about a week later I needed work on another system and called them right out. Again totally on time, gave me an estimate, preformed the work, ran into a slight problem but stayed with the original estimate and replace my fan motor for around $400. Again great job! I have sense recommend them to a friend and they had the same experience. To sum up I found Interstate Heat and Air a very honest, professional, and customer friendly company. I have and will recommend them to anyone needing heat and air work in my area (Oklahoma City, OK).
