Interstate Heating & Air Conditioning

Over all very good. They show up on time and are very knowledgeable. The only complaint I have is their pricing packages for repairs. They have set repair fees depending what is wrong. I had 2 issues and wanted to charge the flat fee for both, which I questioned since they were already there why charge same amount if it was only issue. Tech called in and we got it worked out, but should not had to go through all of that to get to that solution.

Purchased a $44 special A/C tuneup and inspection. Tech was condescending and dismissive and clearly did not want to be on service call. Basically tech said the whole system was "fine" and concluded that a particular room that was 20 degrees hotter than rest of house was due to vent outside of room being closed. What? Was asked about boot/duct being detached and summarily dismissed that. Said he checked it and it wasn't detached. When I had time to get up in the attic, turns out duct was crushed in one spot and wasn't attached. Nice job. Won't use these guys again.

Great response time and very informational. Performed the maintenance check and didn't need a thing except for a possible replacement part. Had trouble with replacement part that was way overpriced. I was not satisfied and asked to have it removed and replace with the original part. Technician was very upset and very unprofessional. If your not worried about pricing and need a quick fix, this is the company to call. As for my situation, the unit was working fine and the fix was more of a preventative measure rather than a solution.

Scheduling was easy and technician arrived at the designated time. Technician was polite and informative. He wore booties to protect floors while in the house. The charge was as advertised. I would use this company again.

The work crew arrived promptly and carried themselves professionally. They were knowledgeable and took the time to explain answers to any questions that I had about the equipment, services, or work that they were doing. One of the crew offered us a no-interest home improvement loan (I think through Visa) to cover the $10,000 charge. We took the loan but later I was upset with the loan servicer for what I consider undisclosed conditions of the loan. Since I had the cash, I paid off the loan within a few months of taking it out at no interest cost so that I could avoid what I thought were unreasonable conditions of the loan. I don't hold Interstate Heating responsible for my dis-satisfaction with the loan, however. Unfortunately, we had problems with the new furnace soon after it was installed and called for servicing. A service man came out and made a repair. A few weeks later, the furnace didn?t function well and we called for servicing. Perhaps this happened one more time. Eventually, a guy came out and indicated that they would replace and reinstall a new furnace at no charge. They arranged this promptly and completely worked around our busy schedule to accomplish this. They were very apologetic and installed an additional control unit for our bedroom at no cost when I casually mentioned uneven heating throughout the house. They explicitly wished to make up any inconvenience that we had experienced with the faulty furnace. They seemed to have pride in their work and felt that they wanted to ?make right? what had gone wrong. In closing, I highly recommend Interstate Heating because of how they responded to a defective furnace that they had sold me and then installed. I think you can tell more about a company in how they respond to problems than when they respond to praise. Interstate Heating and Air responded professionally and "made it right" in the end. You can trust these guys.

We liked them. I think that it is good. After they checked it and cleaned they came back to tell me everything is good and they also helped me to check the temperature and the filter to tell me if it is time to change it. They also gave us some recommendations like how to maintain it and if we need to change it, what kind of models would be good ones. They checked it very carefully and answered all of our question with patience.

They were professional and had excellent customer service skills. They were knowledgeable and explained the service, costs, etc.

The service man was very professional and friendly. He explained everything in detail and explained what the issues were. They company called to verify that the service was performed in a timely manner and that I was happy with the work that was performed. It was one of the better experiences that I have had with AC repair.

He checked the pilot light, filters, and all related issues and gave a clean bill of health.

The tech arrived on time and performed the checkup quickly and thoroughly. He informed me that a part could be installed that would extend the life of my A/C unit but it was not necessary to the operation of the unit.

They were very professional, showed up in a timely manner. Although my certificate was for 2 units, they did the 3rd one for same unit cost. Very pleased.

I was able to schedule for the next business day after purchasing the Deal, which was a pleasant surprise. The technician was very polite and explained why he couldn't clean the coils on my AC unit outside with water (they require an acid wash). He was the first Heat & Air person ever to mention this and I quizzed him about whether we should select a different unit when it came time to replace ours. He answered my questions knowledgably and thoroughly with a smile. Considering I had only paid $44 for the service, I was impressed with the time he took to make sure I had all the information I needed. Before checking the freon, he explained that I would be charged at their standard rate if more than one pound of freon was needed and explained their pricing schedules (which are somewhat complex, but do save you if you purchase a package; I have not purchased a package from Interstate) Our freon was a low, but not more than a pound, so no extra charge was necessary. While I may use this company again, I'm not a fan of their pricing schedule and would be more likely to call them in an emergency (which I have done once before). This service call ranked higher than the previous one and made me reconsider using them on a consistent basis. I also received a courtesy follow-up call to confirm everything had gone alright. I was specifically asked if the tech wore shoe covers while in my house, which he did, but since I have two large dogs and old wood floors, it seemed like a bit of a hassle. I told him it wasn't necessary and he explained that it was policy. When asked about it during the courtesy call, I got the impression this was being enforced perhaps as the result of an incident in the past. Whatever it was, it was the only "odd" part of the service.

The technition was great. He was thorough and explained every step of the process. He only replaced parts that were 100% necessary , and even recommended I wait and fully "wear out" some of the more expensive parts. Price is a little high, but the level of customer service was worth the difference in money.

The installation went smoothly and the installers were extremely professional and polite. The only hitch in the entire process came a week after installation; the system was cycling on and off every thirty seconds when the AC was turned on. I called after work and they came the next day. They explained to me that since the installation occurred on a cooler day, and the unit came precharged from the factory, the installers did not bleed off enough freon and the system was overcharged. They bled off some freon and everything has been perfect since. There was, of course, no charge for the follow up service call, and they apologized for the inconvenience of having to have them come back out. The technician even made a note on the service call to have someone come back out in the spring to check the charge on the freon prior to the summer season and make sure it's ready to go.

The tech did an awesome job helping me out. very informative and professional. i would use these dudes again in the future. they would be my first call for any hvac problem.

He performed a thorough analysis of my heating system. When he was done, he told me how to apply for the city energy rebate ($30). He told me about the company's other services, but did not give a high-pressure sales pitch. I was so impressed with the service, I signed up for yearly maintenance, which includes AC inspection in spring and heating inspection in the fall.

The technician was very thorough in checking our unit. He was very polite and patient when I asked him questions. (and I ask alot) We were very pleased with our experience. We would recommend Interstate to anyone needing heat/ac service. We are having them come inspect our heating unit soon.

He checked everything and told us that he needed to clear a blockage and add some freon. There was an additional charge (not much) over the initial $89. service coupon charge. We were very pleased with the service and will be happy to use them again.

System wasn't cooling. The technician thoroughly checked out the system. He then explained everything to me in detail. He added the freon, cleaned the filter, told me what to expect. Very helpful and informative. Everything has worked well since.

Interstate Heating & Air Conditioning were very professional, very punctual, and they did everything they said they were going to do. They fixed my problem. They really and truly fixed it. My A/C was giving me issues and the completely replaced the part. It was a very good experience. The price was reasonable.

Repairman actually added too much freon, which caused the compressor to freeze up. Used another company (we have a home warranty that required this) to fix the problem. I was very impressed with Interstate, as they accepted full responsibility for the problem and refunded us the amount equal to what we had to pay the 2nd company. Even though there was a problem, I plan to use them again as it is rare to find a company with such ethics!!

These are real professionals. They know what they're doing and they are honest. I enjoy relying on Interstate. It's one less headache for me in a busy world.

I put a call in for service on our heater. Interstate was there very quickly. The man doing the repair was extremely polite, knowledgeable and professional. He fixed our problem right away. When our upstairs heater went out we called Interstate again and experienced the same excellent service.
