requested a service call because the lines were frozen, diagnosed an aging lower unit A-coil. Sat down with me and show me all the cost up front. scheduled replacement and they were on time, called first and did an excellent job. 3 weeks later noticed the drain was draining into my drive way causing it to pool. called them up and they came out that day and re-routed the drain at no cost. You would be hard pressed to find a more profesonel company. top notch all the way around.

Everything was wonderful with this deal. The gentleman that came out was very professional. He showed up on time. He was very honest. He told me this was almost wonderful and I would not need anything. He did not try to install any additional stuff, which I was concerned with the air conditioning maintenance. Interstate made an appt for the same day I called which was nice. They actually had a time open up before my scheduled time, so I agreed to let them over early. Again, very nice. The work is top notch. I had Adam as my technician and he was polite, professional and knowledgeable. I had water collecting in the base of my inside A/C unit, near where the blower and ducts connect to each other. Adam narrowed it down to a slow drain condensate line. He was right on the money with that assessment because nearly 2 days later, the problem is 100% corrected. No more water collecting anywhere it's not supposed to. The price was originally $243.00 but I had a $25.00 Angies coupon, so it came out to $218.00. Not too bad but not awesome either. The quality of work is what matters most and Interstate is a top notch company for that reason alone. Price is high, but so is the work quality.

after calling 3 times and everytime being promised a call back that never came I decided to write this review. since the drywall installer is supposed to come tomorrow and interstate said that if the drywall is up their price goes up I fully expect them to try to get meto pay extra because the drywall is up. if I cancel the drywall installation then I will have to pay a fee to my installer as well as delay my project and pay additional fees to both drywall installers and the HVAC company. as mentioned above the owner called and showed up and did his best to make things right as well as reduced the fee.

When I called the companyto inquire why they did not call or come as promised speaking to "Amberc I was promised a call back in "a few minutes" but never got a call back x 2.) Later that day, the owner called to apologize for his team dropping the ball in such a manner. Then came out with a crew to perform the first phase of work which was properly completed. The owner reduced his fee from $1311 to $1000. Waiting on the connection phase which is waiting on several other steps/contractors.

My old A/C unit went out on a hot, Sunday, early evening. I called Interstate and they said they could get someone to come out Monday morning. As it ended up, one of their guys came out Sunday evening, which was truly appreciated. After hearing that my A/C would take just under $1,000 to repair, Willie took the time to explain options of replacing the A/C and possibly the heater. He also showed me the guarantees they promise, along with available warranties. To make a long story short, I decided to bite the bullet and have the whole system replaced. I was scheduled to have the work done the following Tuesday, which I thought was reasonable since this is their busy season. They kindly brought me a portable A/C unit on Monday, which was certainly appreciated. When Tuesday morning came, two very nice young men arrived to do the work (so sorry I don't remember their names). It would really take me about a page to write about all the things they did to install this system, but in a nutshell, they were professional, courteous, and the work they did was immaculate. Everything was exceptionally neat and tidy. They even put shoe covers on when they came into the house, which was a nice touch. It was such a hot day and they worked tirelessly, in and out of the attic, etc. They offer financing with a very reasonable rate, which I did end up using. I would highly recommend Interstate Air. I wasn't happy that I had to replace my heat & air system, but glad that I found a wonderful company, locally owned and operated, to do the work.

Service man was on time and did a thorough check. He took a long time checking the blower and when finished explained his findings and recommendations. I went with the motor replacement and scheduled an appointment to discuss replacing the furnace. The motor was $383 which I don't know was a fair price. My HVAC system is under a maintenance plan and the price was pre-set in the plan. The motor was installed during the visit and has been operating as it is supposed to. I notice the AC is much quieter now. I am satisfied with Interstate and will continue to use them.

My AC started going out on a Wednesday evening. The unit kept tripping the breaker. I thought it might be an electrical problem, which the first AC company I contacted confirmed for me. When I got an electrician out late Wednesday evening, he told me that it was definitely not electrical. This was all on a Thursday. So I contacted Interstate after reading some reviews on here on Friday morning. They told me someone would be at my house between 2-5. I typically expect repairmen to come out at the tail end of the range, but I got a call from Interstate at almost 2:00 on the dot saying a tech was heading out to my place. He arrived 20 minutes later and I explained the issue to him. He listened carefully and then went to work. It was great that they got someone out on the same day early in the afternoon. It took him a little while to diagnose the problem, and he said it was the first time in his career he had seen an issue like mine. He told me exactly what the problem was and showed me where the issue was. He had to run get a part from a local store, but was back within a few minutes. He went to work for a couple of hours and, after he was finished, stuck around monitoring the unit to see if the breaker would trip again. After about 40 minutes, he felt confident the problem was fixed. It's been more than a day and the problem (which was recurring every 20-40 minutes) is gone. He fixed it right the first time. All the pricing was explained up front. I feel like it was a little expensive, but to be honest I don't have much frame of reference. I needed someone to fix my unit ASAP so I couldn't get multiple companies out to look at it. But they got someone out there fast and I felt like the price was in the range of what I expected. The tech's name was Adam, I thought he did a great job. Would definitely recommend him and Interstate to my friends/family.

A.) I COULD NOT GET THE PILOT TO START. THE YOUING MAN WHO CAME TO OUR HOUSE TOOK THE SYSTEM APART AND SPREAD IT ON THE FLOOR OF THE GARAGE. HE THEN SHOWED ME HOW DIRTY IT WAS AND HOW SEVERAL OF THE PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AND SAID TO FIX IT AND GET IT UP AND RUNNING WOULD COST $2,000. HE SUGGESTED WE HAVE THEM PUT IN A COMPLETELY NEW SYSETM... THIS SYSTEM HAD A RANGE OF PRICES BUT HE THOUIGH THE $9,000. SYSEM WAS WHAT WE NEEDED. AFTER TALKING QUITE A WHILE HE BECAME CONVINCED I WAS NOT GOING TO BUY A NEW SYSTEM AND I AGREED HE WOULD PUT THE SYSTEM PARTS BACK TOGETHER, REPLACING HE ONES NEEDED REPLACING AND CLEANING WHAT WAS LEFT. I PURCHASED A MEMBERHSHIP IN THEIR CLUB AS IT GAVE ME A DISCOUNT ON WHAT HAD HAPPENED THAT DAY. THE FINAL TOTAL COST WAS 1800. DOLLARS AND CHANGE. B.) After purchasing the coupon for this service I was promptly contacted to set up an appointment. At that time I was not quite ready to set a specific date, so a few weeks later I contacted company to arrange for the service. I was a bit disappointed that I had to wait longer than I wished, but in fairness I have to admit that i waited until well into the cooling season, when they were bound to be busier. On the date of the appointment I received a notification that the technician would be unavoidably delayed and I appreciated that. A short time later I was notified that he was on his way, and when he arrived he was very pleasant, cordial and professional. I felt like he took his time and did a thorough job. He left extensive paperwork explaining exactly what he had done, and it is nice to know that I hopefully now have a cooling system that is ready for the typical Oklahoma summer.

The the representative wore shoe covers inside my home as he checked measurements and provided information to me. He climbed into the attic and also checked dimensions inthe garage area where the unit was based. Also checking the outside areas and replacing his shoe covers as he entered my home. He showed me from his instruments regarding my units and the damage many years of use. I was highly impressed with his knowledge for providing me information I needed for the estimate.
Description of Work: The representative actually provided me estimate of the cost of replacing my central air conditioning and heating unit. I was very impressed with his knowledge and expertise and he answered all of my questions in great detail. Since I was only getting estimates at that time, I told him I would be giving his company a call if I decided to use them. EXCELLENT! After the Moore tornado's Interstate asked us if we could postpone our maintenance call so they could do what was needed there and we happily obliged. When they called to reschedule I was out of town dealing with the death of my mom. They came out and did an emergency repair (hubby and son were still here in OKC) before my family headed out. Upon my return - there was a card waiting from Interstate not only thanking us for our business but expresses condolences on the loss of my mom. I paid for the labor the parts were provided. My experience was fine. They held up the obligation that they knew I would pay for the labor and they would provide the parts so it worked out fine. It was under two years, it grabbed me that I had to repair it but it wasn't their fault. They were professional about it and they did what they said they would do. On that deal you really don't have a lot of choice, if the company supplied the unit came from, they represent them. I couldn't get a fair evaluation of that in that sense because it wasn't a free choice.

We had one company say our heater went out and they kind of tore it apart and left it. We were trying to see how much because they gave us a price to fix it. The Interstate came out, looked at it and gave us a quote but then the guy who was looking at it said why they left it all torn up. He sent out a service tech and they fixed it without having to replace it. He only charged us to clean it and straighten it out. He didn't even charge us for coming. He said it was horrible how they left it and that nobody should have left it that way. I believe there is no outside at that time and he said it could blow up on us. I got a two year old granddaughter's room right next to my furnace. We never used them again and we went with Interstate. They've been really good. We signed up with their yearly program.

Overall assessment: NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER I purchased a coupon on Angie?s List for: $79 for a 53-Point Deluxe A/C and Furnace Tune-up Safety Inspection PLUS More! My A/C and furnace units are 6 years old. I have an annual inspection to confirm that the units continue to operate efficiently and to have a professional determine if any repairs or maintenance is required. This was my first and only experience hiring Interstate Heating and Air Conditioning. Regretfully, I was enticed by the above mentioned offer. My first point of contact was with the Receptionist when I made the appointment. The Receptionist was the only positive part of my experience with Interstate Heating and Air. The Receptionist was professional, cordial and had outstanding customer service skills. After my initial conversation with her I was comfortable with my decision to use this company. The Receptionist mentioned that the Technician would offer me maintenance packages and asked if that was okay and I said yes. I made an appointment in May and the appointment time was between 12pm to 3pm. I explained to her that I would be at work and I would like a 30 minute call ahead to make sure I was there in case I could not be there exactly at noon for some reason. She confirmed that I would receive a call ahead and added the request to the notes and the Technician would know to call me and not arrive at my residence unannounced. The day of the appointment I planned on leaving work in time to be there by noon. The Technician arrived at my home a few minutes after 11am. Luckily, my wife happened to be there for a short time that day. The Technician informed my wife how long the ?inspection? would take and it would have been impossible for me to drive home from work and arrive before the Technician had completed the ?inspection? that would take 30 minutes (per. the Tech.). After removing the new air filters the Technician informed my wife that they needed to be replaced. My wife called me to verify that I did recently replace the 3 month old air filters with new filters 2 weeks prior on April 8th. VERFIY TIME!!! My wife advised the Technician that she confirmed that the filters had recently been changed and she double checked. I faithfully change my air filters. In so many words the Technician insinuated that my wife and I were providing false information. He tried to ?up sell? new air filters to my wife with that sales method three (3) times. The third time was when the Technician left the filters out and at the end of the inspection he tried to convince her that the filters needed to be replaced and was reluctant to reinstall our filters. After the inspection was complete my wife called me at work and handed the phone to the Technician. During that conversation he did not mention anything about the air filters and claimed that a couple of my capacitors are weak and recommended that I replace them. When I declined he continued with his next sales pitch. He said that his figures showed that the A/C unit was a pound to a pound and a half low on freon. I explained that I have never been told that after any of my annual inspections. He told me that his readings are correct and that the unit is low on freon and that I would probably find myself in the near future with the A/C not blowing out cold air if I do not have freon added today. His tone was condescending at best. After the conversation his ?friendly? attitude toward my wife ended. Six (6) weeks later my outside A/C unit stopped working. The Technician?s ?prediction? was correct. Because I was not permitted to be there due to the Technician not contacting me and arriving early, I am forced to assume the worst case scenario. Again, I was very specific and clear in regards to needing to be present when the Technician from Interstate Heating and Air Conditioning arrived. Because I arranged my schedule to be at home if and when they arrived, Friday I called Interstate and explained that the outside unit is not running now and I needed someone to come out and look at it while I observed. I explained to her that I just had their Technician perform an inspection Six (6) weeks prior and that I have never had any problems with the unit until now. She put me on hold to see if she could find a technician to come out. She then told me the earliest she could have someone come out would be the following Tuesday. She explained to me that if I was a Club Member that it would be seen sooner. She explained the rates and benefits of being a Club Member but I told her I was not interested. I found another A/C company on Angie?s List. A technician from another company came out that evening to repair my A/C unit. The technician came out to look at my A/C unit and he showed me that one (1) capacitor needed to be replaced. He replaced the capacitor and then checked my unit to see if the freon level is adequate. He told me that the freon level was fine and that it was not low at all. My unit is performing perfectly after the single capacitor was replaced. I compared the paperwork from the 2nd A/C technician to Interstate. The readings are significantly different. It is obvious to me that the Interstate technician was just trying to sell me freon I did not need in addition to a capacitor and air filters. I agreed to hear a sales pitch in order to receive their promotional offer. However, listening to a sales pitch is very different than a tech. being dishonest about several things to increase his sales quota. I will not use Interstate again in the future and will not recommend them to anyone else.
